Kaelen listens to the story with rapt attention before responding "Ha, wow that's awesome. Glad you all came out of it ok. And if you folks can rescue the villagers, well you'll pretty much the the towns heros. No need to worry about people not talking about that."
When Nadaar speaks to Kaelen his smile turns to a frown at the mention of the condition of the village. "Aye, I expected as much. We'll see to their remains after we bury the Lady. And uh, just want to say, if you could, you should be easier on Torem. He's not normally this angry, just lost all his friends. I mean, we all did I know but, well, he just needs time to cope. Ah, sorry, probably shouldn't lecture you guys. You are helping us afterall."
Kaelen stops talking, seemingly worried about getting on the group's bad side.
When Nadaar goes outside he sees that the trio is working on tying the first table to the railings of the bridge so it will support itself. The women are holding the end that is on the bridge steady, supporting the weight of Torem who is on the precarious side of the table trying to secure it. As he is trying up the last of the rope for the first table Rillex flies off your shoulder and right passed his head landing safely on the other side looking smug. Torem is startled by the Tressym and almost loses his balance but remains standing on the table. He mutters something to himself before finishing up the first section of the repair.
(Anyone can choose to assist, would speed up repair ingame, otherwise the repair will be done on it's own after waiting a bit but feel free to assume its finished with or without pc aid and continue with whatever you wish to do. If people wanna RP go head if not feel free to jump ahead)
Nadia was happy to say that that confrontation went better than expected, which was a relief. She didn't want to have to go through yesterdays events again, just with another group of people. When they make their way out and the bridge repairs begin to commence, she talks to the boys before helping out. "I'll go help them and make this whole thing go a bit faster. I'm no contractor, but I've had to repair a few things back in the orphanage. Nothin' a few books couldn't teach me!" She grins for a moment, letting the boys respond or question her before heading over to the other group to lend a hand.
With the aid of Nadia the repair goes by relatively quickly as the 2nd table is secured to the remains of the bridge. The new bridge sure doesn't look ideal but Torem gives it a few test runs, and while certainly not the heaviest of everyone, the tables bear his weight. The guards go and collect lady Nandars body and slowly move her across, bringing her to the Graveyard where you burries Gran. You see that it appears there's already a spot for her, a large stone slab that you likely already noticed read "Nandar" on it. They all pay their final respects, mostly in the form of a moment of silence, before laying her next to her husband in the above ground crypt and eventually resealing it.
While all this is going on you have free reign of the town. If you wish to check the trading post for items, for the sake of Berevity see below
The trading post is in a sorry state, not that it was damaged but it appears to have been partially looted already. Still, you can find anything on Adventuring Gear table in chapter 5 of the Player’s Handbook that is worth 10 gp or less. If there is something you wish to take please roll a d4 in your post to determine how many of that item there are. Since I do some player rolls to speed things up, and since rolls are all transparent anyway, I see no harm in allowing you to do a simple DM roll. Oh and I've already declared there would be a climbing kit there so, so need to roll just go collect it.
Nadia, if you wish to take the time to try and claim Kellas horse for your own I will need a series of animal handling checks. At least 3 successes no more that 3 failures. Each check represents about 15 min of trying to approach the animal, gain its trust, and eventually having to chase the damn thing around town to try again. DC is 10.
Nader, if you wish to try and collect your personal sword, now is the time as the debris, while warm, are not likely to burn you. It will take an hour or so to dig up by yourself, cut 15 min for each person helping. Add another hour if you wish to find Krűls blade (same minus 15 min per helper). No rolls needed just let me know its happening, auto success after enough time.
Zack, other than maybe looting not sure what else you would like to do but again theres free reign of the town and keep. KEEP in mind (I'm not sorry) that most of the keep is inaccessible from debris.
The four guards can be found in the graveyard to mourning their dead. After an hour or so they start going about town collecting the dead and preparing for burials. If you need/wish to speak with one of the guards or get them to help you that's where they will be. Feel free to RP in the interaction if you wish.
Now, I'm expecting a major snowstorm to come through here sometime starting Sunday lasting until Tuesday. About 2 ft of snow and ice or some we've been told. While I'm not expecting any problems I also can't promise my internet access won't be interfered with. I'll be trying to respond to all posts within a timely manner today and Sunday, Monday/Tuesday I'll have to go to work and the snowstorm means I'll be busy most likely so, if I go radio silent the next couple of days I promise I'm not abandoning yall just that mother nature is *****.
If we are lucky, internet will not get screwed up and then snow will mean people will stay home and not cause trouble, leaving me with nothing to do at work which means yall get me attention instead. Absolute worst case scenario, well maybe not worst case but not fantastic case scenario I end up too busy and without internet to post until Tuesday. We shall see.
Anyway I know this isnt how I usually format my posts but wanted to give you options in case I cant respond to everything. Feel free to do as much or as little RP either with yourselves or the NPCs as you wish. When everyone is ready to move on we'll go save ourselves some villagers.

Nadaar shakes his head. "It is fine. Admittedly, I am still learning some of the customs of these lands, and its peoples. Though that said, that /was/ my going easy on Mr. Torem. Any softer than that, and then I would truly be belittling the man he should -- AND can be, if only he allows himself." He would say, but would smile softly after in hopes of alleviating the concern on Kaelen's face. Afterwards, he takes his leave as originally plan. In spite of Rillex' antics, Nadaar keeps from so much as grinning, as his own foray across had been no less an embarrassment.
"Hm? If so wish, and they are fine with it, I do not see why not. As said before. The sooner we get going the better. It is only unfortunate that I dare not lend a hand in the endeavor myself. Too many cooks at that point for a single dish, or so the saying goes." He expresses as much, but would stand at the ready to help in an emergency to help stabilize things.
After stopping long enough to collect some items from the shop(at the bottom), he heads straight for the Barn. If Zack seems unbusy by then, he requests his aid in retrieving it. Though if unwilling or hesitant, Nadaar assures him by saying, "IF you cannot, I understand. I still have Wonder for just the occasion. Though once we're all ready, we should meet by the gate with our mounts in tow." And with that, he heads off to uncover both his and Krul's blade. Upon success, he offers the two longswords picked up to the guards to see to it that they reach their proper place.

Nadia was proud of herself in helping repair the bridge as it seemed that everything got done quicker than they had anticipated, not to mention she got to converse a little bit more with the other group. Seeing they had some time to spare, she notifies the others that she'll be on the other side of town, trying to tame a horse that she was determined to make hers. If they wanted to tag along to help, or make fun of her failures, she wouldn't mind.
When she located Kella's horse she took a deep breath and began to slowly inch her way towards the creature, sweet words escaping past her lips while cautious steps were being taken...
Animal handling (since I'm unsure if she will be receiving any help for this, if she could anyways, I'll roll twice for advantage): 10 (if adv applies 8) 18 (if adv applies 23) 16 (if adv applies 14) 9 (if adv applies 18) 19 (if adv applies 11)
(Advantage ended up being unnecessary it seems. Congrats.)
The mare initially wanders off from you, everytime you approach it makes a point to walk away. Yet you persist, speaking in a low calm voice. You notice that each time you approach the animal, it seems to shy away from you less and less. Almost an hour into it, she finally let's you get close enough to touch her. She even let's you in the saddle. You ride around a bit and she makes no attempt to buck you off. She is much faster compared to the horses in the stables you notice, though there isnt a lot of room in town to get a good speed going, least nothing you could maintain for long. Still it's an obvious improvement.
(Riding horse is now yours. Kellas bag has all the tools and materials to take care of the horse who, by the way, appears to be used to a certain level of doting from its owner)
Zack smirked at Nadia, saying I think I'll let you handle it. For some reason I think you'll do better by yourself than I will. Remember how her horse reacted to me? We'll be around town. But we'll be ready to head out in the next.. two to three hours. Collecting his blade on the way back, and freeing it from its bondage.
Zack tried to think of a potential use for every item. A potential situation. His training and mobile-scouting missions had taught him to always have at-least try to be prepared for every scenario. And he simultaneously frowned and smiled that he was practically looting the place of all its valuables.... But this would help them save them and he fully intended to pay the guy back. After which, Zack went to the Larder, and collected about half of the food supplies that were there, leaving the rest for the guards as they would likely come here at some point if food became scarce.
Once done, Nadaar asks about getting some assistance with his search, and Zack Happily assists him with it. Helping him as long as was needed for Nadaar to find everything he sought.
You know man. I mean this just as a statement, not as an insult or compliment, but I'm havin' a hard time figuring you out. You seem nice sometimes but othertimes it seems a fly landing on you will piss you off. I understand .. its probably a cultural clash, but as they say... when in Waterdeep.. do as the Dhavians do... or another saying my Ma used to tell me... "You'll catch more Al'Miraj's with Honey than Vinegar." and so on.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, calm down a bit man. If you know I meant well, but still got bothered by it, that means you chose to be bothered by it. I'm trying to fluff us up a bit in their eyes. And nothing I said was a lie. But if we can get some fame going round, we'll get to be better known. More jobs'll come our way, We'll make more money, and meet more people. Sure fame can have some obvious downsides, but it has plenty of benefits too.
After hearign his reply, and once the task was done, Zack would head to his horse, using what bags/sacks he could in combination with the saddle-straps and such to hold the majority of the supplies, knowing this kind of horse could handle the weight. And would head for the gate to wait for everyone else. Eating one of his rations as he did.

Nadaar simply shrugged off the initial comment by Zack. In time he would learn, so why give it much thought. But as he pressed on with his strange anecdotes and so on, the Dragonborn ends up sighing beforelong and shaking his head. "Let me clarify for you then a few points, seeing as we'll be... working together for a time at the very least."He takes a steadying breathe. "I apologize... not for my actions or attitude, but for misleading you before. I should have used the words "may have meant" before "intent". That said, understand that when I say that words carry weight with my people, I do not say it without cause. Words like 'Charm' are hardly spoken at all because of the negative connotations intimately tied to it. It is the same as daring to call a dragonborn a coward and duplicitous. To say his or her words are about as meaningful as shite. It matters not your intent, for you have 'chosen' to act in this way despite knowing it can be misleading." He states frankly.
"And I cannot wholly deny this part of my people's culture just because I have left home. It is apart of me... If that may mean my death some day in these strange lands, then so be it. At least I have died remaining true to myself in the end." Nadaar pauses in his -- at that point -- passive search to look Zack right in the eyes. "If you fear this may lead to your own or Lady Nadia's demise, speak it. And if you wish to part company then... it can be done AFTER we have seen to the missing villagers." Nadaar lets his words sink in before returning to the work. "And for the record, I am calm. If I was not, you would most certainly be made aware of it. Also, I care little for fame or fortune. Learning and experience are all that matter... But if such happens to be fame and or fortune gained throughout our travels, let it be our deeds that speak for themselves. Words matter of course. But given how flippantly you westerners tend to speak, actions here will more likely express clearer points, or so I feel at least. Certainly should save you some trouble."
After thing is said and done, Nadaar takes a few minutes at least to find Krul's former mount, and give it a possible treat from the goblin loot bag found a day prior. But unless the offered made it trust him more, greatsword and all, the dragonborn is more than content to leave it ot graze and saddle up one of the draft horses for travel.
Zack, before you help Nadaar during your trip to the larder, you hear yelling coming from inside one of the cabinets. You can hear the voice clearly even though its lightly muffled. Its mostly a string of curses and pleas for help in a mix of common and what you remember has being Goblin. It's about this time that you remember tieing up a Goblin after knocking her out and stuffing her out of the way. It seems she is still alive and very much still tied up.
(Zack will choose to ignore it for now, and continue on with his plans up to readying the horse. He will stop short of heading to the gate to free the goblin - sorry, in a rush atm)
Once Zack eventually frees the Goblin his mercy is greet with several curses, most of which he doesn't understand but can assume well enough that they aren't pleasant. "Stupid Human. Think you take Gum-Gum prisoner! Ha! Gum-Gum take you prisoner now! Have Hark feed you to ogres!" Given the fact that she is unarmed, outnumbered, and well, tied up still, it's unlikely she'll be taking anyone prisoner. But the threats continue albeit in Goblin as she flails around on the floor trying unsuccessfully to break free of her bindings.
Zack would sigh and look down at the goblin, saying Look girl, I'm sorry to have to say this, but.. you're probably the only goblin left alive that came here. Some bad people came in and killed them all, If I hadn't hid you here, you'd probably be dead too. Don't worry, My friends and I avenged your friends, but, this town is now dangerous for you. You really only have two choices here: Sneak out and live. Or.. well fight and die. Or you can come out with us as we go, and we can pretend you're our guide to something. But Otherwise, the town guards will just see you and kill you. SO, what'll it be?
Regardless of her choice, He'll set her free, but if she seems like she'll attack he'll Dodge.
Gum-Gum stops squirming for a moment, seemingly deep in thought. Before shouting back "You bad people! Kill everyone! Gum-Gum still alive because she outsmart you. Will do it again. Will hide where you no find!"
As you cut her loose she makes no attempt to attack you, and instead looks around anxiously for anyway out. She eventually decides that the especially large hole in the Inn is a good exit and makes her way towards the gate, obviously trying to be stealthy but achieving the opposite.
Nadia and Nadaar, as you wait by the gate you notice a Goblin eventually make her way towards the gate. She seems to believe she is so well hidden that you can't see her despite her not behind hidden behind anything as she tries fruitlessly to push the closed gate down.
(Oh and Zack collected about 5 days worth of rations from the Inn I forgot to mention that before)
(aye. Zack would be striding up about 30 feet behind her on the horse to complete the circle of 'willmeet by the gate' - and will wait for the others before posting)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nadaar just watches mutely in the begining, more surprised and confused at first than actually wary or angry at the sight of the goblin. When it finally dawns on him of who and where she came from, he grins toothily and watches in amusement of poor attempt to sneak around. If Nadia does not prompt to raise a hand and gesture not to shoot, the Dragonborn eventually hops down and approaches and tries to quietly sneak up on her. As soon as she might be in his shadow/arms reach, he immediately tries to pluck her up by the back of the neck, but holds her at least ouf of snout scratching range.
Stealth: 19. Grab: 7, if at adbvantage from stealthing: 11.
"Well hello there young miss! A pleasure to see you again! Do forgive us for the poor treatment earlier... and the ongoing currently. We just can't have you getting yourself in any more trouble around here. Please try to understand." Nadaar says politely; and yet, some of his tone is that one of fully expecting the opposite reaction. Be that as it may he continues trying to be civil. "I see that you wish to leave now though. Which is, I believe, for the best. However, I have a proposition for you." He says before switching to goblin.
"Safe to assume my... hm... There's no word for it in Goblin it seems. So, let's say 'ally' saw to your freedom. While that's all well and good, if I give you coin -- OR something more useful AND safe passage out of here, will you in turn help us find some missing humans in the hills near here? There could even be more in it for you later."
Nadaar ends on a wink before looking upon the goblin expectantly. Before there is even an answer, he sets her back down and stays kneeling at her side until she runs off or answer. With a curt nod after no matter the response, he makes his way up to check out what lay beyond the gate from the top. Once assured of its safety, he asks Rilex to go get a pair of guards to help close the gate behind them. In the meantime, he tries to lower it himself, but would for once not balk at Zack comming up on his own accord to aid in the endeavour. Though if one or two are already there to begin with, he just calls up and asks them to lower it for them.
As you approach Gum-Gum turns around quickly in fear as she hears your approach. She stands very still up against the wall. You hear her mutter in Goblin "They can't see you if you don't move." As you pick her up she seems to realize the jig is up and flails around wildly desperate to escape before giving up as you speak to her. The expression on her face makes it clear that she was only half listening to you until she hears the mention of coin. "Hark no be mad with me if I bring back coin. Me can take you to other humans no problem! B-but pay first! Gum-Gum to smart to be tricked by you. Give coin so Hark no kill, then me take to villagers."
Once the conversation is finished you give your request to Rillex who promptly flies off towards the guards at the cemetery. Meanwhile you head up to start lowering the gate. Regardless if Zack or Nadia help you find that the gate was easy enough to open, allowing you fill access to the wider world once more. Gum-Gum takes a few steps forward and points north. "This way! Follow Gum-Gum, best explorer of the clan. Uh...can Gum-Gum ride with one of you?" she asks meekly as whoever is leading the way quickly overtakes her even at a trot.
To say Nadia wasn't proud of herself when she managed to tame Kella's horse would be a lie. She was very much proud of herself, and it was easy to tell with how she beamed with pride when she rides the mare back to group up with her other two teammates at the gate. She greets whoever was there before her (if it were the case) only to stop half way when she sees the goblin trying to push the gate open. She snorts a bit, finally remembering the goblin girl they had put away in a cabinet just the night before, but says nothing, and allowed Nadaar to do the negotiating... Whatever it may be as she had no clue on what he was saying to her exactly.
Though, when the goblins pipes up about leading them to the 'other humans', she's able to use context clues to figure out what they discussed. She nods, and readies herself for the travel, giving her new horse a pat on the neck, yet stops when Gum-Gum requests she ride with someone. If no one else offers to take her, Nadia allows her to ride with her.

"Let me clarify for you then a few points, seeing as we'll be... working together for a time at the very least." He takes a steadying breathe.
