Nadaar looks back with a cheery grin that carries in his voice, "For once, I do, comrade. Fully. And where there's opportunity to do so, common will be the tongue at play -- BUT, I shall keep you informed." With that, he turns back to their interviewees, and plops down right in front of them, appearing unconcerned about any weapons the duo may still clearly possess. Even seated down, the dragonborn had at least a good head or so over them. Yet, as a sing of good fate, he made sure to unstrap his longsword still sheathed and set it beside a crossed leg.
"You answer 'truthfully', and yes, we let live. We -- I may even have work for you. Work that eventually get you better than that."Nadaar says in goblin before gesturing to the sacks at their sides. Though if the spoke in common just then, he keeps to as much. "Now, let's get started.... What know about what happened here? About people here? And why 'your' people are here?"He asked, even if one question was a gimmie. "Are there more your people here? More Worgs than two found at front?"

The Goblins seem to relax as you sit down but dont put away their weapons. Even sitting down they have to look up at you though it's not so pronounced. At the mention of work they seem to grimace but at the mention of reward they seem to get excited.
As you start asking questions the seem to be thinking about the answers before the one on the left speaks up.
"Village attacked. People left. Dont know who attacked. Hark said no one left in town. Told us to loot. Lots of us came. No one else here." he stops to think on it a bit harder before finishing with. "we've only been here." He says that last bit pointing to the room around you.
The one on the right appears to be staring at the Worg head on the ground. "only two beasties" He says quickly.
Nadaar subtly nods and twirls a whisker like some moustached villain. Whether he realizes it or not is another matter. "Gathered as much. But you know more. Or maybe 'Hark' does."Then he squints at the goblins. "Not know who attacked. But saw attack maybe. Saw how attack done? If not you, then who maybe? And, very important now, you two know where people left? Where think safe nearby maybe?" He asks, trying to keep his voice casual, but the underlying point to his words are there all the same.

The two goblins seem to be thinking before the one on the right says "Big stone building on hill. We could not reach. Hole in bridge to big. Maybe people hiding?"
The other Goblin nods in agreement before continuing.
"No see attack. Village like this. We been here since midsun"
Nadaar, while you feel they have been truthful overall you can't help but feel you're only getting half truths, especially from the Goblin to your left.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zack continues to keep his blade at the ready, but he visibly relaxes as the overall tension in the room melts. Zack didn't believe anyone or any creature was innately evil. And if he could understand what they had been saying, he'd probably feel more-so like that. But as it stands, he knows there's been an attack here, whether the goblins were part of it or not. Perhaps someday I'll have Nadaar teach me Goblin... might be a useful skill. Zack thinks to himself, looking back to make sure Nadia was fine, and scanning the room behind him and around him again, making sure there was no one sneaking up, but always keeping his [Tooltip Not Found] on the goblins. (Perception for room scan: 13)
Zack, you see that Nadia seems to be keeping an eye on the room behind you while also trying to keep some of her focus on what's going on in the next room with the Goblins. Like you see clearly doesn't understand what's being said beyond a few words spoken in common which, without the context behind them, haven't been enlightening.
The main room of the temple seems quiet now that the bell isnt ringing. The setting sun in slightly lower in the sky and light is quickly fading though this doesn't seem to bother Nadia much. From here you can see through the stained glass window, one small pane is broken amd affords you a clear view to the outside world. You see two houses, one of which has a farm attached. Both houses appear to be relatively undamaged as far as you can tell but the farm has a couple of boulders in it. The farm brings back memories of home though minus the missing people and destruction.
Just beyond those houses you see the town windmill which stands tall and also undamaged, the fans blowing limply in the purple evening sky.
And just passed the windmill, on a raised hill with it's own wooden palisade sits the keep. Unlike the aforementioned buildings the keep has not been so lucky. There is clear evidence that the keep was hit heavily, likely a main target given its strategic location. One town is mostly crumbling and it's a miracle it still stands. Several boulders rest in large crumbled sections of the stonework, and if you were closer or had a bird's eye view you suspect you'd be likely to find even more on the grounds surrounding the keep.
From here you see no movement from anything outside. Now that the bell has stopped one might, at first glance, have called the view peaceful, assuming the towns folk simply asleep in their homes. But as you are all to aware the that scene before you is anything but.
Back to the room Nadaar is in the conversation continues. You hear one of the Goblins say "hiding"while pointing the direction of the keep. Beyond that the rest of the conversation remains in Goblin which you find to be a harsh sounding language. The room itself is a complete mess. Several items litter the ground, mostly torn clothes and worthless personal affects which likely belonged to the priest who lived here. Theres the torn straw mattress and the bell as well as two broken chests. Beyond this there is nothing else you havent already seen as far as you can tell.
Nadaar had been odding along in agreement for some time, feigning ignorance at first. But then with a smile, he haunches forward so he is closer to eye level. Which incidentally places him just an inch or two more to the goblins. More than close enough that they could smell something acrid beginning to waft from the dragonborn's mouth as he talked, as well as see feint trails of black-green vapor seeping out the sides of it. "No see attack... personally, you mean. But someone see. Someone watch village for time, yes? Scout out good chances to steal from travelers to and from, maybe?"
The dragonborn's eyes narrow to dangerous slits. "Remind. No hurt if spoke truth. Speak half truth. Only fair receive /some/ pain. You speak all truth now, and we be friends? You keep speaking half truths or lies. Not friendly no more. Understand?" It is at that point that he looks more directly at the Goblin to the left. "So, what not spoken of? Or, we do we find other goblins that speak truths, and not want skin melted from bones by dragon? May even work under dragon for better than village scraps."He asked in a far too pleasant tone.

Both Goblins look absolutely terrified but when you focus in on the one on the left it nearly looses all its color. I yells frantically "Beemot! Beemot see! Without making move or so much as twitching a brow ridge, Nadaar lets the goblins sweat for a few extra terrifying seconds before letting out a barking laugh. "Beemot, is it? Interesting."He leans back, relaxing both posture and stopping the breathe from forming. It would be another minute before the scent fully diffused from the air. "Keep eye out for Beemot, I will. Ah. But reminded. Namez Nadaar the Golden. What are yours, my friends? And have you given any thought about working under me? No.... threats, this time. The two Goblins take the gold and prepare to head to the gate. (Unless there is anything further) they head to the two towers by the gate within a few moments and slowly the bridge is raised.
"Pleasure to meet'cha both. Stay safe."Nadaar says with a bit of a chuckle to his voice. Afterwards, he follows them out, but makes a point of intercepting Zack and Nadia along the way. At least, from an outsider's perspective. We will still wish to tread cautiously, if only to avoid bringing too many down on our heads at once. But otherwise, we should be good to proceed in canvasing the rest of this location for this other goblin."
He frowns and tugs at his whiskers. "Though, I would temper any enthusiasm about finding survivors. As it was explained most ran off, and that only those maybe in the keep are still about. The bridge is out, meaning crossing will be no easy feat. All the more reason, I imagine at least, that we see to the other goblin looters. The inn in question is the closest building to your current location, being next door to the temple.
