Sweet, I'm interested too! I won't be awake in three hours but I'll look for information tomorrow morning then. Busy weekend ahead so I might need until Sunday to get an actual character ready, depending on the requirements.
Alright, I'm a bit late on info, but here's some stuff about the world, and below that is the character application info. I'll probably select a group on Monday (5-6 characters preferably).
World: The world of Dorthalion is vast and diverse, but we'll be focusing mainly on one little kingdom called Styx. In recent years, the dwarves have been enslaved in Styx, and were forced to work as miners in the mountains. Just a few years ago, in a rather bloody civil war, a new king was crowned, the tiefling King Morthos, with the aid of his companions Reed Underhill, Erdan Galanodel, and Lucan Wasanthi. King Morthos has made it his primary concern to free and give aid to the dwarves, as well as rebuilding his kingdom from the war.
The game will start in a small mountain village north of the capital.
Characters: Post your basic info (race, class, background, backstory) as well as character link here.
Stats: roll 3d6 for stats, you can assign them in any order. (example dice roll: 13, 9, 11, 10, 8, 11) Races and Classes: Any (as long as they are from official WotC/D&D books, its fine) Backgrounds: Any Other: Level 1, Milestone leveling, and Encumbrance Posting Frequency: once a day, excluding weekends if necessary
Characters:Khegaox Orsauross Races and Classes: Lizardfolk Barbarian Backgrounds: Outlander
Backstory:
Lived most of his younger years alone, wandering near the fringes of civilization, Khegaox's main diet was eating sewage rats or scavenged refuse from butcher shops.
When the recent civil war happened, lots of corpses have been left alone for him to feast. Khegaox joined King Morthos' call for aid in an attempt that he can taste more of those yummy meat.
a young hobbit, gets out and about hunting. He was returning to his home village when he was found by a detachment of the Old King's Men. They trussed him up for a handball and had themselves a whooping good time, until Mr Stoutbridge inevitably went out of bounds. Fortunately he is quite bouncy. Now he is looking for some payback.
Hiso trundles up to you, barely keeping pace with other passers-by, although it is hard to say if it is his age or his copious amounts of body-fat that make it so difficult for him to make his way along the street. A small set of spectacles rest on his face, and his body is layered with well-tailored, if rather simple in style, clothing. A black but graying lock of hair extends from his chin, otherwise he has mostly gone bald.
He has the look of one who decided way too late in life that he needed to see more of the world, go on adventures, rather than sit in a stuffy cloister with old books all day, because that is exactly what he is. The past forty, if not fifty, years he spent locked away, learning much there is to know about the world from parchment and paper, rather than living among the people and beasts that traverse the wilderness that is 'outside'.
He is able to converse with demons, angels and all sorts of wild elemental beings, but the closest real-life experience he has to the stranger creatures roaming the world is a Goblin foundling that was brought into the cloister some fifteen-odd years ago. It had been quickly disposed of, obviously, so there was not much to learn even from that experience.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Hahahaha this is so DCC it hurts!
Higgleston Miggledy, enfeebled forest gnome wizard and knight. Accompanied by his cook, his tutor and his batman (in the English sense. But if I can have a billionaire genius martial artist vigilante in my squad, great!) he's off to prove that his various childhood illnesses won't hold him back from achieving great things. But I've seen his character sheet, they *so* will.
Varis is the second of four children, born to half-elf parents.
His parents made sure, often thru visits with their own families, that their children knew how the world would view them. And as each child reached their human maturity, his parents encouraged them to make their own way.
Varis took to the wilderness to better discover what and who he was. Once a year his family would reunite from their far flung lives, but the rest of the time saw him mostly alone.
A wildfire swept thru the region he was living in, destroying any means of shelter. He decded to roam amoung other people again and find a new dwelling. Adventuring seemed to fit rhe bill and so he goes where the wind takes him
I've got over 20 years of RPG experience and I'm not too picky about story, as long as everyone is on the same page.
I'm game. New to it though. Trying to get in on one as well.
Looking for a game too, previous games seem to have died out after intro, dm's going awol
I would join.
So is there a DM in here or no?
I'll DM. Will post more information this evening (in like 3 hours)
I'd be down for a game will wait for more info
