(Also fine with number of players! Wondering if Mako could get a ring or cloak of protection, or this insignia if either counted for attacks made in wildshape...)
I'm OK with those requests. Dorro with an AC of 20. Goodness. And, yes, rkmobius, I would think the bonus would continue with animals since it says unarmed strikes and natural weapons, which are claw attacks and the like. The item is even called the insignia of claws. Looking at the other options, I'm also picking a different item than a +1 weapon. So, let's just say pick an uncommon wonderous item, whatever it might be. rkmobius, is the insignia available in your equipment list? It is not in mine.
Insignia is from Hoard of the Dragon Queen. It's not an option in my equipment either, but would probably be easy enough to do as a custom tweak for the wild form.
Dorro took a +1 Shield. Plate (non-magical) does more for his AC, but the cost is 1500, which would put it more in the Rare price range, rather than uncommon. The Shield seems like a good choice for him.
He has Champion archetype which means he crits on a 19 or 20 now, so keep that in mind anyone using his copy.
Is there a way to automatically account for that in the rolls?
Dug into this a bit. Answer, yes. Add cs>=19 to the roll and it will auto-calculate crit damage for hits of 19 or 20. Thus, the correct sequence for Folwyn is:
Everything went dark ... blah, blah ... no sensory input ... blah, blah ... magically leveled up again ...
"Let's mix things up a little," the voice says with a hint of mirth.
Once the sights, smells and sounds come back to you, you look around and see you're not standing in a group.
jasmol81, you're up!
Remember: There is no movement penalty to move into difficult terrain, but moving out of difficult terrain is double the movement cost. It takes no movement to go prone, but half your movement (rounded down) to stand from being prone. Every other (starting with the second each turn) diagonal movement costs 2x movement. So, if you're moving diagonally out of difficult terrain, and it's the second time you're moving diagonally on this turn, it costs 20 feet of movement.
Besides the portraits being mirrored, originals have a black O (circle) while the copies have a white C (white circle with little black portion at 3:00).
(OOC: By 'in game' I think he means, can the characters deduce which version of the characters are on "Team Original" and which are "Team Copy". We'd talked about changing their in-game looks or colors or uniforms, but nothing was decided. If both Dorro and Dorro's copy are identical, and we aren't starting as a group, how would Mako know which was friendly and which was not?)
(OOC: Exactly Bierp... I was asking if our characters would have any clues beyond verbal assurances to tell who is who, given we're starting all mixed together. Otherwise, there's going to be some friendly fire, or at least confusion. Or maybe I'm overly complicating things!)
Ah. Yes, the originals and copies can tell each other apart. The idea I proposed in battle 1 about not knowing whether it was friend or foe exiting the fog seemed too weird and confusing. It would be hard to play in this manner.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Botting for jasmol81 ...
Folwyn steps down off the rock he is on (M13) and takes two swipes at Oritar's copy — once with his shiny, new shortsword, and once with his trusty handaxe. (Shortsword attack: 26, damage: 11 piercing damage & handaxe attack: 16, damage: 5 slashing damage ... critical fumble roll: 13; acrobatics DC15: 17) Folwyn's first attack leaves a satisfyingly bloody gash in its wake, but he slips while swinging his handaxe and falls on his face. But he still has movement, so he stands back up.
Dorro's copy brings forth his spiritual weapon (I'll let jasmol81 describe it when they return) to his right (S12) and directs it to hit Oritar. (Spiritual weapon attack: 17, damage: 11 force damage) The half-orc is able to duck out of the way.

Dorro is ready. Reminder: Take a long rest before you make a copy of your character. Reset those spell and ability checkboxes.
Folwyn and his copy are ready, I simply grabbed a +1 shortsword for him

Attack: [ roll]1d20cs>=19+6[/roll] Damage: [roll](if([roll:-1:critical], =0, 1d6, 2{1d6}.expand()))+4[ /roll] (minus the spaces)
Looks like:
Attack: 21 Damage: 5
cool, thanks for looking into that
DM rollz: 3,16; 8,17; 20,12; 2,12; 20,6; 7,9; 9,13; 5,14; 20,15; 6,20
3 10 13 3 15 5 12 8 5 6
Dorro's initiative: 12
Folwyn's initiative: 4
Mako's initiative: 6
Oritar's initiative: 5
Urilan's initiative: 6
Which team goes first: 1=primaries, 2=copies: 1
Mako's ready - we'll have to homebrew some version of the insignia of claws.
Taken gauntlets of Ogre power and copied the character. I have access to HotDQ but no sharing for the claws unfortunately
After joining more my signature got out of hand so I am now a proud member of the extended signature club!! :)
Forgot to post this earlier: Who controls who?
Oritar controls Folwyn copy
Dorro controls Mako copy
Urilan controls Oritar copy
Folwyn controls Dorro copy
Mako controls Urilan copy
Round 1: [jasmol81:] Folwyn, Dorro copy, [Swiftgale:] Urilan, Oritar copy, [Bierp:] Dorro, Mako copy, [rkmobius:] Mako, Urilan copy, [DDP:] Oritar, Folwyn copy
Everything went dark ... blah, blah ... no sensory input ... blah, blah ... magically leveled up again ...

(OOC: is there any in-game signifier of who the originals and copies are? Can our characters tell? Seems an important question given this map...)
(I think mirror image was decided. And we have learnt by now which way round our allies are)

Swiftgale, you're up!
(Dorro copy still has an action)
Urilan will rage and go and attack his copy, before a rage is started.
Attack: 26 Damage: 10
(I almost went reckless, didn't need to so glad)
***
Oritar copy: action Hybrid transformation. Bonus action: rite of flame on hands
After joining more my signature got out of hand so I am now a proud member of the extended signature club!! :)
Dorro's copy's action: He tries to slam his mace down on Folwyn. (Mace attack: 15; damage: 2 bludgeoning damage)
