As Threestrings walks out of the staff room, Geoff looks on with a look of utter puzzlement. "ummm..... Threestrings who were you talking to? Where's Bonnie?"
Karl walks up to Volothamp and extends his hand "So long as ye can pay I'll try to find him. I want those 10 dragons now so I know yer serious."
Karl speaks up to those around the table "What about the rest of ye? Wiki ye seem like a sharp lad, ye interested? I'll do me best to protect ya. What about ye Yagra, in for making some more gold?"
Kvothe walks up to the table and pulls up his knapsack, rummaging around inside. Finding what he was looking for, he pulls out a book and places it in front of Volo.
"On top of the payment for finding your mate, would you mine singing this for me?"
Kvothe slides his copy Volo's Guide to Monsters towards Volo.
Volo grins widely at the sight of his book. "A fan I see. I knew I liked you." He signs the book on the inside with a big flowing V. He tosses you a pouch of gold. "I look forward to good news."
He places a few more pouches on the table, but leaves his palms ionn them. "Any other takers?"
Wiki first looks to Karl and says, "I'll watch out for you too! When you're as small as me, nobody expects the halfling inquisition!"
Then he turns to Volothamp and says "I'm in- but not for the money. For the answers. I love a good mystery! I do still want the money though- that's way more than my allowance."
Karl chuckles at Wiki "Ha ye a funny little lad." He walks up to the man who just got his book signed "Oi! Wha about ye, need some extra coin? Seemed like ye pretty good with dem spells, could use someone like that.
With his interest piqued and not willing to let this go, Geoff walks out of sight and changes his mask to Bonnie, and casts Prestidigitation to create a small whiff of Bonnie's smell on him.
Karl reaches out his hand for Kvothe to shake "Nice to me ya Kvothe. I'm Karl, blacksmith workin out o Bloodbath & Beyond." He then gestures over towards the Half-ling "An this little lad is Wiki"
"Wonderful! I have someone else who is going to join you three on this task. She runs by the name Marxia. A wizard of sorts. She needs some extra money as well. She'll be here shortly. Now I'm going to have a few more drinks if you want to join me!" . Volo shifts in his seat, pulls out a notebook and begins writing. Every so often he places the quill down to take a large gulp of his ale.
Geoff
You come around the corner with your best disguise. You saunter with your walk, miming the way she swayed her hips. As you get close to Threestrings, he turns towards you. You see the calm and al bit confused face your normally see on Threestrings drop. "You are starting to become a nuisance. If you really want to get involved come back after you help Volo, so that I know you aren't completely and utterly as useless as you let on." He turns and goes back towards the stage, and begins fiddling with his lute. Once again donning the kind of slow and calm face he had before.
Super confused, Geoff walks back into a corner to change back. "Did he see through my disguise or is Bonnie helping Volo? Weren't those other guys at the bar talking to a Volo? Is Threestrings mean? There's something more here than meets the eye" Geoff thinks to himself as he walks back to the group at the bar.
As another patron bolts out the door, Marxia slips into the Yawning Portal, with her hood and cloak drawn tightly to obscure her features. Seeing the normally bustling Tavern almost empty she relaxes and lowers her hood so she can see who is still here. She quickly catches sight of her target seated with three other individuals, one a child, and hastily walks over. Interrupting their conversation, "Saer Geddarm, its good to see you again. I'd like to privately extend my family's thanks for your help identifying what that latest shipment of fur really was, and my personal thanks for keeping the news of it out of your latest pamphlet. I've been told that you are looking for assistance, and I'm here to repay the favor."
Marxia stands there impatiently, looking one at a time at the three seated gentleman and the boy she assumes is one of their charges or chattel.
"I was invited here, boy!" Marxia snaps, walking around the table towards the boy. Seeing that none of the other's seated are a halfling, "I see your master has had you crawling around the floor here", Leaning over and reaching out to brush off the dirt on the boy's knees, "Perhaps you might consider reading the Saer Goddarm's latest guide to the city. It might teach you that when you choose to speak, it should be done with respect. You will address me as Lady Marxia. Let your actions and speech show your worth Young Saer." She leans in closer to whisper to the boy "I promise then, this City will crawl for you!".
Geoff retorts "maybe if you read the book you'd know not to yell at great heroes" as he straddles a seat at the bar. "This wee lad helped fight off a menacing troll, straight out of the portal. You'd best afford him a small scrap of respect as well, Lady."
"Saer Goddarm, I didn't realize you were in such dire straits that you'd need such a stout group of bullyblades to help you.", Marxia smirks. She looks over towards the scene of the battle, where the troll head still rests, trying to read the story of the battle.

"I have not heard or seen from him. I was hoping you would look into it. He is not supposed to be on any trip that I am privy too."

"Don't know what your talkin' about. Was there.. by myself." He says meekly

Volo puts a pouch of gold on the table. "Feel free to count em yourself." he holds a few more pouches looking around at everyone else.
Yagra speaks up, "I have some things to attend to but, meet me back here tonight or the next."

Kvothe tucks his signed book into his bag before turning around and facing the strangely accented man.
"I haven't met a living soul who would turn down extra coin. Kvothe's the name."
Kvothe extends a hand in greeting, expecting a handshake in return.
With his interest piqued and not willing to let this go, Geoff walks out of sight and changes his mask to Bonnie, and casts Prestidigitation to create a small whiff of Bonnie's smell on him.

"Excuse me miss, you are being quite rude and interrupting a conversation."
"I was invited here, boy!" Marxia snaps, walking around the table towards the boy. "Thanks mister!" Wiki says to Geoff. He turns back to the mean lady and retorts, "I think you're bully here, miss!"
