You're able to recall the symbol on Paren's key and you easily enough find the room with the matching symbol. The door is closed and you don't hear anything coming from inside.
Nestled away from the town square, The Wishing Well is often a place of refuge from the hustle and bustle of the busy daily life of Holden Heights. The underground nature of the establishment provides a lot of sound dampening with the thick earthen walls separating the rooms. The decor often hides the fact that you're underground but there is a distinct lack of windows here. The temperatures are always rather steady even when the sun beats down above.
As the morning sun rises in the east above the snow capped mountains, light fills the town with warmth and glow. It is the first day of the Bridge Festival and crowds are already gathering. The busy roads are nearing capacity as spectators of the events begin to arrive in town. As the crossroad between the Lowlands and the Highlands, Holden Heights is still the main thoroughfare between the regions.
What grand events will be held today and what aftermath will be left from yesterdays occurrences has yet to be seen. For now, our adventurers find themselves dealing with a bit of intrigue as to the true functions of the Wishing Well.
Hey, just to let you know I'm away on holiday from tomorrow. I'm hoping to have an okay enough connection to be able to post when I can, but I can't guarantee it.
Jonathan returns to his room and collects his belongings, packing away his clothing from yesterday back into his pack. He adjusts his gear to be ready for the day, his rapier and buckler attached like they were last night, and then looks at the painting in his room. "Hmm, perhaps I should enquire with the staff before tampering." He thinks aloud, the notched coin still in his hand. He then heads out of his room and loiters in the hallway for a few minutes to see if anyone returns from their trip to their respective rooms.
As Jonathan returns to the hallway, he sees Eira and Falaine standing at a door to a room. Teren has gathered his things as well and joined the others in the hallway awaiting what's to happen next. Quentin has gathered his belongings has made his way to the hallway as well.
"Any sign of our respective companions?" Quentin asks the small congregation in the hallway. "I have yet to see or hear of Knok so far today and I'm not sure which room he was in."
Tanni returns with a backpack almost as big as she, adjusting it while walking down the hall, and walks to Eira and Falaine as Falaine starts pounding the door. "Is this your friend's room? Tell them to hurry up, others are ready to leave." As she passes Quentin, she says "I think at least Finan went with Paren, not sure about Knok. They were talking about some strange coin during breakfast. Maybe they noticed something strange about it too?"
The doorway to the lounge swings open with aggressive force. Ombre is standing in the doorway and appears to be furious. "What is going on here. Guests are to have their privacy!"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Falaine will turn to Ombre. "I demand to know what's going on. My friends have disappeared with one of the coins that must fit in the picture frames. What kind of establishment is this?" Falaine will pretend to dismiss a spell and become the guard woman she saw last night.
Ombre looks on with disapproval and says, "What our guests are doing in their own rooms is their business. I assure you that guests do not disappear at the Wishing Well unless they want to. I would most appreciate it if you'd keep the noise down as to not disturb the other guests." Though she's trying her best to conceal her mood, you can tell that she is pissed.
Falaine hears a tap at the door and Paren's soft voice saying,"It's alright Falaine. I'm just praying to Aiden before we go. I've taken the symbol and placed it where it needs to go and it's led to more. It's just taking me a bit to work out where it's taking me. Luckily I've got friends to help me on the journey."
Falaine will respond. "Very well, the rest of us will move to investigate the town then." She will take her things and leave, holding her head high and referring back to get elven form.
The group stands in the hallway needing to make a choice. Jonathan says to the others, "there is a spot within the room I am staying in that seems like it could fit something like this perfectly on it; it is a strange part of the decor, but something that may have importance nonetheless." He holds up a small coin with a square hole in the middle.
The group is left with two choices:
1.) Explore the frame in another room as described by Jonathan
Tanni taps her foot impatiently and crosses her arms. "Are we going? Sure, the thing with coins and paintings is weird, but I'd say the chaos with the tower takes precedence. We can always check the paintings when we come back, but we should hurry before workers clear the rubble and the bell away. The others will catch up when they are done." She takes a couple of steps towards the main door and glances back, waiting for others to come too.
It takes you all a moment to come to an agreement but knowing that your friends are safe lowers your level on concern. The town isn't large enough that you won't catch back up to them soon enough and every moment standing in a hallway is a moment you could be out exploring the Festival!
Upon exiting the hallway, Ombre looks to you from the bar. She's left out several refreshing glasses of fruit water on a platter for any to enjoy. "I do apologize for my tone earlier. I hope I did not offend and of you," her apology comes off very sincere. "The rooms will be available for you this evening should you choose to return. Should your companions be prepared to leave, where should I point them to?"
You see her pull out a small drawer and she takes the keys to your room. She carefully places each into its respective slot and slides the drawer closed. "The Bridge Festival has started this morning. There are competitions all along the main road as well as merchants selling all sorts of items. I do hope you're able to enjoy your stay here in Holden Heights. If there's anything you need. Please let me know."

Eira will follow Falaine as she looks for Paren.

Falaine will agree (didn't have time for a longer post.)
