Duncan is used to marching in the rain, though isn't a fan of sleet or snow. He's doing his best to hide his discomfort of the cold, knowing that everyone else is in the same situation. He adds "Joining a caravan would be nice for the heat, though" looking tightening his grip on his glaive, and looking to the party with a grin adds "we hopefully can provide our own protection."
Triscyne blinks as a menagerie of animals is sent off into the wild. "Fascinating, these people."he thinks to himself, "Perhaps I should train an animal one day. I wouldn't know how to communicate with one, but it seems practical. Certainly there are some arcane means of communicating with creatures."
The thought reminds him to keep up his arcane studies and practice. It has been a while since he last held a spellbook, but at least he diligently keeps up his practice of the Dance, despite not having seen much improvement over the past years. Half an hour every evening, at the least, preferably up to an hour or more if he has time.
With a measure of grace he hops onto the wagon as it slowly rolls along, content to wait out the return of the animals.
Mr Slithers heads off toward the fires. He notices that the figures are huddled for warmth and there seems to be little in the way of shelter. Everyone lying on the cold ground.
Hoot with their higher vantage point takes in a little more. There are 5 fires with what look like around 15 people trying to sleep. There are two sitting up and awake keeping watch. Their meager supplies rest in the very middle along with a standard of some kind.
Perception rolls for more info.

That is all the information you gather. The figures are too bundled to recognize race and it's too dark to make out the standard.
Dimble is sitting still with his eyes closed, poking through Hoot's sight (assuming we are close enough) "There are 15 people up there, with some sort of standard and 5 fires. Can't see much else from here"
Damaia says, "Do you think they have shelter to pass the rain and snow? If not, then we are wasting our time with these people and we should begin to look for possible shelter ourselves." She states this quite matter-of-factly.
Jasmal rocks gently on the wagon, eyes rolled back in her head, drool seeping out of the side of her mouth. She might be communicating with her familiar, she might be dead, honestly I'm not sure - she is awfully old.
Damaia repeats herself for Dimble, "I asked if they have any shelter to protect us from the rain and snow. If not we should ignore them and look for a suitable shelter ourselves."
You don't recall them having any shelter, though they are between the trail and the foothills that could potentially provide shelter. The rain is getting cold and starting to freeze to the harnesses on the horses.
Triscyne quickly grabs Kodiak by the tunic, dragging him back into the cart and holding him steady for a moment as he finds his balance once more. "Careful there." he says, smiling as he pats the man on the shoulder.
With the breath fogging as he exhales, he nods to Damaia. "Yes, let's find shelter around here, and soon. The colder it gets, the more time we will need to gather wood for a fire, and if it starts raining it will be difficult to find some that is still dry, too." He pauses, then jumps down from the cart again. "Actually, Damaia, why don't we start looking for some right now? Kodiak, you seem like you have good outdoor experience, could you take someone and look for a suitable place to settle in the meantime, somewhere out of the snow and wind?"

I will Help with Survival to find firewood and/or whatever we need to keep warm.
Damaia says, "We need to find some shelter. I don't want my book getting wet in the snow or sleet."

(Sorry to tease, but I'll update this in about 10 or so hours.)
Dimble sees Jasmal send of her snake "Two eyes are better than one. Let's get a view from the air" And sends Hoot flying to look down on the fire.
After joining more my signature got out of hand so I am now a proud member of the extended signature club!! :)

You can choose to have your familiars take an even closer look, but they will need to make stealth checks to go unnoticed.

Dimble comes out of the Familiars sight. "Was anything said while I was looking, I go blind and deaf to my senses while I am in Hoot's."

"whuh... Huh? Hi! What a lovely dream! It was cold and there were lots of people with no shelter and big flags...."
