You quickly spot a circle of large stones, somewhat like Stonehenge. They obviously were set atop each other and in the center of the circle is is a bit of a pit, looks like it could be used for a fire pit. And there is enough shelter from the rain and snow with some simple lean-to. It takes you all a short time to get a relatively comfortable camp.
(Good roll, would have started toward exhaustion if not for it.)
Pulling the cart to a stop as his companions talk and go blind to the world, he realizes that if they are aware of others, others may also be aware of their presence. He pulls his cloak up around his neck to protect from the rain/sleet, grabs his glaive, and scouts out and around near their location.
Damaia is pleased to find shelter with Tri's help. While sitting protected from the rain and snow under the stone shelter, she takes out her TOME OF HORRIBLE SECRETS and begins to jot things down on it as she waits for the soup.
Also if the firewood was too wet to burn normally with tinder boxes or torches, She would cast Burning Hands to light the campfire.
Seeing the fire and shelter found by his group, Duncan comes in wiping snow and water from his eyes saying "I'm sure we're fine here, and thanks for the fire!" He then sits down to warm up and dry off, wiping down his armor and weapon. He then tells a story about how he spent many nights out in much colder/harsher weather for this while training at the academy, both in an attempt to appear strong, as well as to give the group peace of mind about their situation on the road.
You all settle in feeling relatively safe from the weather. As the soup is cooking, Jasmal is the first notice change in the fire pit. There in the midst of the party, a shimmering terquoise light coalesces above the soup pot, eventually forming into a watermelon sized stone with glowing ivy like runes covering its surface. The stones in the circle light up in the same way casting a dim glow over the camp.
History or Religion check if you care to know more. Jasmal can roll with advantage. (I'm turning in for the night.)
With camp settled in, Triscyne moves off to the edge of the group to start his exercise. With eyes open, remaining fully aware of his surroundings as part of his training, he pulls out his heavy rapier and begins the motions of the Dance. Quick, darting, fluid, the motions should be a pleasure to the eye, but even an untrained viewer can tell it is somehow off. His free hand traces symbols in the air, but only on sparse occasions the hint of a blue arcane light flashes dimly off his fingertips. Tri's expression is set in one of cold determination, but he cannot hide the less-than-a-moment slips into wincing struggle and frustration.
Mid-Dance he does notice the glowing stones, and the blue flashes disappear entirely as distraction sets in.
Kodiak takes a few steps back to make sure he's out of the way of Duncan's glaive. "I won't claim to be a master chef but even I do not think I'm that bad."

(first, clarification, there is a stone, suspended above the soup pot, but just barely. It floats weightless in space.)
Everyone who's rolled remembers hearing of spirit stones. They are a rare but not unheard of phenomenon, produced in stone circles suck as these throughout the nation. Kodiak would know that once the stone appears at a circle, that circle is will never again produce a stone. There have been reports of proximity to the stones curing some ailments, mostly afflictions of the mind and soul. Which leads me to Damaia... What started as comfortable warmth is now bordering just on the cusp of painful. The radiance from the stone seems to burn against the blood in your veins, it's bearable and you adjust to it, but you feel you should stick to the rim of the circle and not touch the stone.
Damaia edges away from the fire pit when the burning sensation became too uncomfortable. She grits her teeth and says, "This shit kinda hurts to be honest. Anyone else feel that or is the world being unfair again?"
"the world is always unfair, to everyone, dear - and in that sense it's perfectly fair. All is in balance. You are repelled by this glowymajigger, i need to use the bathroom every 15 minutes - we all have our stone to soup, so to speak!"
The weather takes a turn, the trees begin to bend to the driving winds. The camp is safe and warm enough for a good night's sleep.
During the night Jasmal will hear cries of pain and fear in the distance in the direction of the 15 humanoids. Hard to make out other details. The cries go on for about 12 seconds before there is unnatural silence.

She has no idea what it is but she's interested in it.
Duncan doesn't even attempt to understand the runes, but quickly stands up, and pokes the butt of his glaive through the glowing light.
((Duncan isn't all that intelligent, and not proficient in either History or Religion, so it just doesn't make sense to even try to roll for it.))

Surprisingly for someone who looks like a fool Kodiak seems to have an excellent memory for history.

Dimble notices a soft hum ringing in the stone. It seems rather harmless.
Damaia says, "Okay, I did not need to know that. Thank you for sharing." She says the thank you sarcastically.
