"We should keep the battle within the caves. I will be of assistance with individual enemies but I am unable to fight more than two at a time with Torm's Right Hand and I do not believe it will be quiet," Silas whispers, "I wish to keep some spells for healing just in case but I will sacrifice healing for should I believe it is needed,"
Aka: Silas want to use spiritual weapon, in a gauntlet fist form, to attack in melee while throwing out sacred flames. He has some Guiding Bolts for both support and damage but rather keep healing word in as option.

Sir Darak Darkhall: Holding his breath as he witnesses Yroc's fateful fall and Badger's stunning save, Darak releases a sigh of relief as they land safely on the ground far below.
As the party discusses their plan, Darak nods his head in agreement, adding, "Priority should be rescuing the Birdman. Secondary objective - eliminate the Pterafolk before they can raise the alarm."
Formulating a quick battle plan, the Knight continues, "I'll rush the center and engage as many as possible. If Yroc and Silas follow on either flank, we can attempt to overpower them while keeping the doorway clear for the casters.

Yroc nods, hand already grasping the hilt of his sword. It felt good to focus on a fight, distracting him from the height at which it would take place. "I'm quick, I'll get around the sides. Everyone should get away from the mouth of the cave quickly though. If they manage to grab and drop, it's a long fall. Trust me."
Urgh, Sir Darak, I can see to the prisoner if you wish. I fear I will only be under foot of the big people in a battle.
Badger will maintain position in the tunnel, protecting (or if possible, releasing) the prisoner, but ready to return and help if the battle turns for the worse.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
The group tenses, ready to rush the Pterafolk. The squares on the map are 5 feet, so it's a bit tight. Everyone can get pretty much anywhere with a single move action. So everyone roll Stealth, and Initiative for the surprise round and let me know what you plan to do.

Yroc gives the group a countdown on his fingers, ending with a closed fist and him rushing in, blade drawn. He moves to the back of the cave around the two carving figurines, voicing a quick curse before lashing out with his sword, green flame contrasting the yellow of the campfire.

Sir Darak Darkhall: Gritting his teeth as everyone prepares for battle, Darak draws Onyx as he raises his shield and charges around the bend.

Rounding the corner, the Paladin charges straight into the middle of the chamber, engaging the Pterafolk nearest to the campfire. Calling on the power of Tyr, he brings down Onyx in a mighty swing before attempting to shove his target into the flames.

Silas rushes around the corner into the hot smokey room. One of the Pterfolk is on his feet, another getting up still, while the two sleeping ones are starting to stir. The fire crackles and pops, swaying as the wind gusts push past the cave opening drawing air through the passages. The Pterafolk on his feet lunges at Silas as he rounds the corner.
He slashes with a claw: Attack: 14 Damage: 8
Then his other claw: Attack: 20 Damage: 8
And finally tries to bite into Silas with his beak. Attack: 17 Damage: 10
In return Silas summons a floating gauntlet which slams down on the back of the Pterafolk, a loud crack as it smashes into his skull. Then a sacred flame rips down, the creature tries to dodge. 5
A moment later Yroc rushes around the corner, the other Pterafolk just getting to his feet leaps at Yroc.
He slashes with a claw: Attack: 17 Damage: 3
Then his other claw: Attack: 15 Damage: 7
And finally tries to bite into Yroc with his beak. Attack: 10 Damage: 6
He swings his green flame enshrouded blade in return, his dark hex like a cloud across the Pterafolk who dodges out of the way of his sword strikes.
Sir Darak is the 3rd into the crowded hot and smokey space. As he leaps forward the two Pterafolk that were on the ground leap up and claw and bite at him.
One slashes with a claw: Attack: 8 Damage: 6
Then his other claw: Attack: 9 Damage: 8
And finally tries to bite into Sir Darak with his beak. Attack: 16 Damage: 8
The second one slashes with a claw: Attack: 5 Damage: 3
Then his other claw: Attack: 16 Damage: 4
And finally tries to bite into Sir Darak with his beak. Attack: 13 Damage: 5
In return Sir Darak slashes his blade into one of them, drawing a spray of bright red blood, the searing divine energy blackening the creatures flesh which drops to the ground. Then he slams the other creature backwards into the wall with a crunch.
Kasaaptu moves past the room, unleashing three blasts of energy into the room. The creature fighting Silas is struck, and falls backwards lifeless and smoking from a huge blast in its chest. The one fighting Yroc gets hit in a wing, the blast shredding through its leathery wing material leaving it smoking. The last blast strikes the one that Sir Darak slammed against the wall, it hits it in the face, the creature collapsing with its head a charred blackened smoking mess.
There's one creature left, injured but still moving as Sickle closes into the room. Sickle, feel free to roll your attack.

Kasaaptu feels a surge of power and near ecstasy as the life force of two Ptera-folk load her up ( with 14 temp hp) she is ready to send a 3rd to its grave if the others dont finish it off first. The dark energy crackling at her finger tips and her eyes aglow in anticipation. Their attack on poor Hamma has been avenged and soon we will have the mask returned and be on the way to saving the world from permanent death. In the mean time she will send Krull to search the chimney room and scout the chimney itself to ensure it goes where they want it to go
The last Pterafolk, rushes forward, kicking at the logs in the fire sending a cloud of sparkling ashes and black smoke into the area as it dodges around Sir Darak, jumping past Silas as his weapon sweeps over it's head, and attempting to dodge his way into the passage, but the space is just too tight and he can't get through the party. His clawed hands and wings are up in panicked fear.
Kasaaptu, Sir Darak, Sickle, Yroc, all can let me know what you do.
Badger, the panicked eyes of the Aarakocra open and look in fear up at Badger before relaxing, seeing a small gnome instead of its captors. As Badger saws away the rope from his arms there's a commotion behind them as the Pterafolk makes his bid for freedom.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Yroc pulls up his shield to block the sparks, then grins savagely as he sees the Ptera trying to make a run for it. With a flick of the wrist the dark incantation switches to the remaining creature, and with a savage grunt he takes a jab at it.
The Pterafolk drops as Yroc's blade slices into him, blackness crusting around the flesh where the blade strikes.
The four dead creatures lay about the room, now extra smokey as the fire has been kicked across the space. Now that the moments of battle are done, the group can see that these Pterafolk seem more fragile and their leathery skin is wrinkled and sagging. You'd guess they must have been the elders. Ducking low to get out of the smoke, the group grabs the partially carved bones and seeing nothing else of value heads out into the passage away from the heat and smoke.
Back in the hallway, Badger is helping the Aarakocra stand up, as he pulls the rope off of his beak. His eyes dart around the group as they slowly approach. He bows his head briefly, "Thank you, thank you.." he croaks, his throat dry. "I owe you my life for rescuing me. Who are you? Oh...my apologies, my name is Nephyr. I hail from Kir Sabal. I'm afraid I was ambushed by these Pterafolk while on patrol...I owe you dearly for saving me before they did away with me. Thank you..."
