The paladin hops a bit, trying to draw the councilwoman's attention away from her less eloquent compatriot; her accent might be a bit flunky at times due to being taught common from people with more accents than common sense, but she could move her way around a conversion if she wanted to! "Don't be worryings Lupin, Dezlo can take care of this no problems!"
The little would-be-dragon affected a gracious bow, before perking back up to full height, extending a tiny scaled hand to the Senrior Council member for a shake.
"Hello to you as well, Eda Oweland! I am being Dezlo, and these are my companions! We is being from The Company of Dragons, hired to help you, yes. Some of our other companions have gone into town to see if anyone else is be having news about the job, or having other problems needing help with. We is here to be helping Salt Marsh as much as we can be doing!"The kobold stretched to her full height, ears perfectly erect and mouth spread in a grin filled with needle-like teeth. Little chest puffs out proudly - Dezlo really is quite proud to be part of the company. It's not easy for a kobold to find such solid work in the world sometimes.
"We is coming here to be asking for any information you be having about the job we is hired for. Our contract says there is a house possessing a haunting, but doesn't say much else. If you can be telling us anything else at all it would be very helpful in doing our best work and helping the town fasters with the problem, yes?"
While Grahl and Ogren wasted no time and started carousing with the regulars, Alek went to the bar and began to talk with the barkeeper. "Hello friend, me and my companions here are passing through town. We wondered if there is some work for a group of adventurers that needed to get done around here. We already heard rumors about a haunted house. Is there any chance you know anything about that?"

The barkeep is a fairly heavy-set man, but looks as if he could bash someone good if it came to it, a decent amount of muscle under his fat. he has a partially balding head, with a scar on his left cheek near his eye.
The barkeep glances at Alek and then looks around, clearly trying to tell if any of the other customers heard what the man had said. "Don't ye be talkin bout dat in ere..." He hisses with a growl in his voice. "What ye be wantin ta drink?" He says the latter in a more carrying voice.
Grabbing his bag before leaving for the Tavern, Orgen begins digging into his pockets. "I should have a pair of dice from my days as a soldier... Ahh there they are," he says pulling out a pair of metal dice from his pack they give a metal click as the hit the table and grabbing the ale he chugs it down in one fell swoop, but as he does so he looks around at the room, searching for anything interesting that catches his eye.

Orgen Doesn't really see anything of interest. One of the customers looks to be a hunter of some sort, going by the bow he has leaning nearby, the quiver of arrows, and the woodland garb he wears. There are only three other patrons in the place right now, other than the group of you, and they are two sailors drinking at a table nearby, and a single man sitting at the bar who is deep into his cups already.
GRAHL TO OGREN: “That’s a good lad! Have ye another!” Says Grahl pushing the other tankard over to his newest drinking partner.
GRAHL TO THE OTHER PATRONS IN THE BAR: “Say, would any of you lot fancy a small wager on a roll of the dice and perhaps some friendly conversation? Loser buys the next round, eh?”

With a shrug two sailors walk over to join you. A moment later a hunter, wearing woodland clothes and carrying a bow and quiver, moves over as well. They soon are sitting there playing dice and joking with you all as they drink their ale.

"Thank you for the prompt reply to my request." Eda says, giving Dezlo's hand a shake. She glances at the three of you, then settles back into her chair. "Please sit." She says, nodding to some chairs in the small office. "As for more information, I am afraid there is not much to tell." She says once people sit, or not if that is their choice. "The place is about four miles out of town, but no one will go there to learn more about what is going on, since people are too afraid of it to even go near it. Very few people will even talk about the place and it even gives me shivers to be doing so right now..." She gives a shrug as she sighs. "I am sorry I cannot be of more help..." She does tell you that there is a old road that leads up the coast and to the house in question.
Soo now the team in the town hall is hobgoblin, kobold and huma wizard right?
"Ay yez, do you me lady could help us with da map of the area or at leazt could Ye help to improve me mine ?"
While they do maps activities
"Ay me have question..Do ye by chance have some problemz with female bugbears in this area?"
(OOC: No the human wizard is not there. She will not be involved until everyone gets back to the tower.)
"Female bugbears?" Eda asks in surprise and a bit of shock. "No, I can't say we have any trouble with those..." She glances at the paladin to see if there is some sort of joke she is missing. She continues looking through several map cases she has pulled out of a drawer, and is able to find a fairly well-done map of the area around here, including a place she points out as the haunted house's location. She gives the map to Lupin.
Dezlo returns Eda's look with one of equal puzzlement and a shrug. The hobgoblin's thoughts were as much a mystery to the kobold as the council member; she'd only just met her teammate earlier in the day after all. From the doorway she could hear her mastiff grunt, obviously unhappy to be sitting still so long. It seemed like as good a sign as any to try and wrap things up.
"Ah, that is too bad then. We'll have to see if our companions have been having better lucks in learning things then. If you is be having anything else you would be liking some help with around the town, please be letting us know! We will be going to deal with the house soon; just need to be getting settled a little first and prepared. Many thankses for the map and talkings with us!" A jaunty bow at the waist is given, large ears flipping forward in the process to purposeful comedic effect. Better to be thought of as professional and a bit silly than whatever other notions someone might have.

Eda rises to her feet as the pair prepare to leave. "We definitly will keep you in mind for other tasks we have that come up." She says, clearly smiling as she takes in the two of you. "I have a feeling we are going to get along quite well..." She sees you to the door, then bids you good day as she closes it again.

The curious reaction from the barkeeper certainly piqued Alek's interest. The commotion raised by Grahl and Ogren would have made it impossible for someone else to hear what they talked about. But as soon as the sorcerer mentioned the haunted house the barkeeper looked particularly nervous. Alek took a sip form the tankard, then leaned in towards the Barkeeper and tried to speak as calmly and quietly as he could, "And why my friend wouldn't I talk about it in here? Or where and with whom would I talk about this particular subject?". He tried to be his most charming self. Usually, Alek had his way with words and people and therefore he hoped for a little bit more information. (Persuasion17)

Lupin was the cartographer; she'd happily let him lead them to whatever bar it was their fellow franchisees had meandered off to in search of information.

Asking around you would find that there are three taverns your friends could be at. You were not with them when they were sent to the one they are at, so you would not know which that is. The three options are The Wicker Goat, Empty Net, and The Snapping Line.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Orgen has been busily chatting up the sailors and the hunter asking what the brought to shore, and what type of game could be found around here. He thought he has gotten the crowd relaxed and happy when his compatriots came in. Dowing his other mug he walks over and s say to them. Any luck at the council house?

Lupin and Dezlo find the others at a tavern named Empty Net. They are playing dice with three of the locals, all drinking tankards of ale.
Alek Reynn has won 8 silver.
Grahl Hogback has lost 7 silver
Orgen Shield-Breaker has lost 6 silver
Three of you who have been at the tavern give me a persuasion roll.
