Donkee does not find anything abnormal about the wall carvings.
Vaden stays away from the carvings along the walls and tries not to even look at them. He clearly does not enjoy being here.
Taman moves to the walls and also looks over the carvings, following Donkee in his search for secret doors and whatnot. He does a more methotical approach, tapping and testing the area to see what he can find, instead of just looking it over, since Donkee did not find anything that way.
Investigation: 17
Taman also does not find anything of note in the carvings.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
[OOC: Secundus does not have darkvision, but he can see through Mache's devil's sight. However, this will lead to exploitable gaps in his vision. When possible, he will place a hand on the shoulder of another party member]
Secundus telepathically asks Mache: "Do you know anything about these statues? These look like creatures you might have some familiarity with."
[OOC: if Mache is able to use his knowledge of the devil/demon war to have insight into the statues, he will role a history/arcana check (same score): 8)
Secundus then uses his eldtritch sight to cast detect magic and walk across the room, inevitably stubbing his toes constantly when he bumbs into places that Mache wasn't looking.
Ok everyone, we need to determine what you are all doing for vision down here. At least two of you, Stop Thief, and Secundus do not have darkvision. There is no light down here to speak of, so either someone needs to cast Light or you need to use a Torch or some other light source. I would allow Secundus to have the Imp sit on his shoulder and let him see through its eyes, but Stop Thief does not have that as an option. Let me know what you are going to do... Taman will cast the light spell if that is the way you choose to go.

This sounds fine for Secundus. We'll see what Stop Thief decides to do, since I doubt if you want the rogue to not be able to see what is going on... Going to be hard for Secundus if we get into combat though.
Give me a perception check for Mache as well then.
Mache is able to tell you all about the various fiends shown in the carvings. He does so in the most gruesome of details, going on at length about the fiend's favorite ways of killing its victums.
I say secundus should carry a torch so Stop Thief can see, yet still be able to use his stealth. Plus there wont be any gaps in Secundus sight to be exploited.
" Mr Vaden, your looking a bit squeamish. Its not making us confident in your abilities or usefulness in this venture... maybe we should have you in the front behind the mighty mache to help you conquer your fear. These carvings are magnificent...and check out this neat bird guy skull I got..."

Also, as a note the Paladin's Mastiff also does not have darkvision. Maybe we should just have Taman cast Light
(OOC: is there anyone in the group without darkvision? There is zero light down here. both Vaden and Taman are wearing Goggles of night.)
The group decides to head down the tunnel. You travel for a bit, heading South then curving to the West.
After a few minutes of walking you enter a 20-foot wide hall, at the west end of which stairs descend 10 feet to a room lined with pillars. Similar staircases descend into the pillar room from 10-foot-wide tunnels leading north, west, and south.
Before you get to the stairs down to the pillar area you find the below in the hall you need to pass through.
Bas-Reliefs. Every 10-foot section of wall has a 9-foot-high, 4-foot-wide, 3-inch-deep door-shaped recess containing a bas-relief carving of a demon. Each relief depicts a different kind of demon (see below).
Skeleton. A kenku skeleton lies on the floor, one of its thin arms pointing toward a bas-relief of a nalfeshnee demon on the south wall.
The carvings on the north wall depict (from east to west) a balor, a barlgura, a chasme, a dretch, a glabrezu, a goristro, and a hezrou. The carvings on the south wall depict (from west to east) a marilith, a nalfeshnee, a quasit, a shadow demon, a vrock, and a yochlol.
Rurik takes a minute to speak these details into the Whisper Jar.
Rurik goes to each wall carving, and observes them carefully. Using his stonecunning skills, he wants to make sure the details are accurate when speaking into the Jar, (History?) 6 going one by one until all carvings are, in detail, described.
Then bending low, he speaks to Shadowlight in dwarvish. "Can you smell anything, or tell which way those who came before us went? This place already feels off." (Perception) 10
Norelan eyes the statues warily and says to Vaden "Eh i see where ya coming from, don't like how this feels in the slightest." He says as he keeps his crossbow aimed at whichever of the statues are nearest

Rurik give me a stone mason check with advantage. Just a tool check here, but I believe you are prof with it due to being a dwarf, so add your prof mod to it, and your wisdom. Check should be 1d20 + wis + 3.
Anyone with a passive perception score or passive intuition score greater than 12 (I.E. has to be 13 or higher) roll me a perception or intuition roll with advantage.

Sure that works and wont stink up the place with oily smoke. What is Vadens response to Donkee's placement suggestion?
Vaden's face goes paler, even more than before. "No, I will stay right back in the middle where I am safer." He tells Donkee.
Donkee, give me a second perception check if you looked at the skeleton. Anyone else doing anything in this hall?
