Mars - The symbol is of no known religions or cults, and does not appear magical of make. It is unfamiliar.
"Know the symbol, I do not," Shuushar shakes his head. At Tanser's movements, he begins to approach the other kuo-toa.
"Greetings, esteemed fisher," Shuushar says, dipping his head. "Shuushar, I am. Passing through, my companions and I are. From the city you are, yes? Directions to Sloobludop, you could give us?"
The kuo-toa jumps slightly, nearly dropping the fishing rod. "Expect to find others out here, I did not," he apologizes, "Well met, Shuushar. Dloopidoop, I am. From village, I am not. Investigating recent madness for Society of Brilliance, I am," he taps the metal medallion. "Provide directions, I can, but warn you, I must. In chaos, Sloobludop is, more than usual. Be careful, you must."

Does Tanser know anything about the Society of Brilliance?

Guess not.
"Kuo-toa," the old gnome says, deciding it's OK to address the fisherman, "do you have any fish you would trade for some of these delicious mushrooms we've been harvesting?"
Thun lets out a laugh at the idea of trading the mushrooms. He quickly stifles it as he realizes this might be the only way to get food that isn't trying to eat you.
"Hmmm...the mushrooms, let me see." Dloopidoop turns to the gnome, setting down the fishing rod. The kuo-toa glances around at the group, eyes resting on Mars, Thun, and Tuma. "Strange party you have. Surface dwellers, you are?"
"Yes some of us are surface dwellers and other are of the Underdark as you are. We recently joined together and are hoping to find a way to help our surface companions return to their home." Daerthe tells him.

"Hmm...fish I will trade you," Dloopidoop bobs his head, picking up a sack beside him, rummaging through it. He pulls out several fish, holding them up for inspection. He turns to Daerthe, "Way to surface, I do not know. Only in Underdark, Society of Brilliance operates. Know paths to surface, larger cities may. Good places to try, Gracklstug, city of duerger, and Blingdenstone, city of deep gnomes, may be after stop in Sloopbludop."

Mars looks to Shuushar to gage the kuo-toa's reaction to news of unrest in Sloopbludop. At the sight and smell of freshly-caught fish, Mars' mouth begins to water and she takes an unconscious step towards Dloopidoop.
"We are very happy to trade with a new friend, you are a true lifesaver," Mars tries to dip her head as she has seen the kuo-toas do, "Are there others as enlightened as you and your Society, to offer assistance and deal with some surface, uh, folk like us? We are very strong, and could maybe be helpful to anyone trying to get to the surface as well or go to one of these, bigger cities?" Mars is having a hard time picturing a whole large, busy city with no sky, and fails to contain a whimper of sympathy.
*speaking in Common, if that doesn't get through she will try Abyssal

OOC: We had managed to altogether gather 1 day's worth of edible mushrooms for 12 people and 1 Tongue of Madness mushroom, right?
"Well since we have several deepgnomes with us perhaps it would be best to try for their city for what is needed." Daerthe says as she turns to look at them.

((Yes, this is correct.))
Mars - "Others there are," the kuo-toa nods. "Four others, there are. This sigil they wear," he taps the metal amulet. "Spread across the Underdark, we are, researching recent abnormal chaos, madness. Willing to help you, they would be. As you say, best chance of knowledge of the surface, in larger city you may find."
Shuushar appears saddened at the news of his city's current state. "Share my knowlege with my people, I must." the kuo-toa sighs. "If we are to survive, listen, they must."
Daerthe - "Great idea!" Jimjar flashes a smile towards the half-drow. "Blingdenstone has had relations with surface dwellers in the past, so it's likely our people still hold knowledge of the paths to the upper world. I am ready to return home, as everyone is."
Topsey and Turvey exchange glances, but remain silent.
Tanser - "Equal poundage, I will trade, yes?" Dloop bobs his head. ((How many mushrooms are you trading?))
Tanser - He only knows of what you've shown him. As Mars pointed out, you have one mad mushroom left, and 1 day's worth of edible mushrooms for 12 people.
Daerthe - "It's north of the Darklake," Jimjar shrugs sheepishly. "I'm not sure the path one would take to get to it."

After mulling it over for a second at the ease of this new trade, Thun considers just leaving with the directions and new fish. In that moment of heavy consideration, Thun pondered whether or not this person might throw the mad mushrooms in the soup while they aren't looking, and rob them. He regarded the fisherman with caution, and wondered...

Thun nods his head, "Damn elves like to drag people into cells, underground, and somehow still think everyone else as uncivilized."
He doesn't look towards the other Drow in the group. With resentment he clearly harbors a grudge pertaining to most, but not all, Drow.

Tanser is going to trade the mad mushrooms unless someone stops him.
Mars is happy to see those awful mad mushrooms get traded away and will not get in the way.
((Yes, this is correct.))

How many does he know the party is carrying? He will try to gather all the mad mushrooms from everyone to trade.
"Alright well do you know which way we need to go in order to find Blingdenstone?" Daerthe says as she turns to Jimjar.

Okey dokey. One mad mushroom and six edible mushrooms for seven servings of fish.
((Thun also grabbed some mad mushrooms, does he still have his? I was going to use them with a poisoner's kit whenever I got one for a truth serum))
Tanser - The kuo-toa happily trades the fish. "You and friends stay for dinner, hmm? Stew, I can make, warm and filling."
Thun - ((Yes, sorry forgot about the one you picked up.))
