Captured by the drow! You wouldn’t wish this fate upon anyone, yet here you are — locked in a dark cave, the cold, heavy weight of metal tight around your throat and wrists. You are not alone. Other prisoners are trapped in here with you, in an underground outpost far from the light of the sun. Your captors include a cruel drow priestess who calls herself Mistress Ilvara of House Mizzrym. Over the past several days, you’ve met her several times, robed in silken garments and flanked by two male drow, one of whom has a mass of scars along one side of his face and neck. Mistress Ilvara likes to impress her will with scourge in hand and remind you that your life now belongs to her. “Accept your fate, learn to obey, and you may survive.” Her words echo in your memory, even as you plot your escape.
After several days of imprisonment, you are taken from the small holding area you were in to a large cell. You wear iron collars around your necks, and manacles connected to belts, restraining you but leaving you free to walk. Thrown into the new slave pen, you see your group is not alone. In the shadows you see a derro, a quaggoth, a dwarf, 3 deep gnomes, an orc, a drow, a kuo-toa, and a small myconid. They look up as the door opens, then back down as it shuts and locks again, with you inside.

Back and ready to DM and chew bubblegum. And I'm alllll outta bubblegum.
Tempest eyes the Drow in the cell and steers clear of him, not sure why they would lock one of their own in with the prisoners. She paces the cell, glancing to the dwarf who came in with them, staying closer to him than the others. "I know, be patient..." She says sourly as she eyes the prison for possible escape points. She is also sizing up the other prisoners now, trying to determine if she can see any useful ones who might be able to help them get out of this place.
(were the six of us in the same small area before, or are we meeting just now?)
Gadvelt says Hello in Common, Dwarf, and Goblin, just sort of seeing if he can tell who speaks what. He is momentarily embarrassed seeing the dwarf, but it passes. But the Drow - That could be good luck, someone must know something

Don puts his hand on Manju's shoulder. "They have no appreciation for talent."Don will look at the prisoners who were already here to see if any of them look dangerous.
(Yes, the 6 of you spent those few days together before being led here)
Egret, you don't seem to see any weak links. The chains seem good quality, unfortunately.
Gadvelt, you don't get a very enthusiastic response from most of the group. The drow doesn't even look up, the quaggoth sits in the back, the other prisoners seeming to lean away from it, and you get stoic nods from the kuo-toa and gnomes. The orc scowls at you menacingly, but the derro jumps and and holds out his hand. Buppido's the name. Seems you lot are in the same deal we're in. Us prisoner's gotta stick together, especially if we're wantin' to make it outta here alive. The other dwarf seems like she was about to say something, but sits back and frowns when the derro jumps up and starts speaking.

Don, the orc looks like he's going to be trouble, and the quaggoth looks as menacing as...well, a quaggoth. None of the others give off a particularly dangerous vibe, though the surly looking drow certainly doesn't look friendly.

Manju - Giving Don a once over before posturing up a little "Oh have you seen one of my shows? Manju is kind of a big deal you know." looking across everyone in the room he will begin to speak slowly "I am Manju... who are you?"
Stepping away from Manju, "Uh, no. No time for shows at sea. You just look... talented." Don positions himself so that there are people between him and the orc.
Don looks over their cage, trying to see if it can be climbed out of or has any weak points to slip through.
Gad looks down at the chains, as a good excuse not to shake hands. No one honest should be that happy, but he nods and says Gadvelt loud enough for everyone to hear, and quieter Discretion is probably wise?
Noticing how the other dwarf acted, he tries to catch her eye and cock his head towards Buppido, like "what's up with that?"
He'll find a spot to sit, next to Tempest, and look for a chance to whisper
I palmed a sharp rock, good as a dagger in a pinch

"Me too..." Tempest whispers back, having taken a seat after investigating the area for a bit.
Bupiddo heads over to Manju and pats him on the back. Not a whole lotta shows in the underdark, my boy. But ya seem a fine folk. Bupiddo's the name.
Gadvelt, you see the other dwarf glaring at Bupiddo. When he wanders off, she heads over and sits down next to you. In a quiet voice, she says I can't stand the derro. Or the damned drow. That one's been tryna get me to talk to him for days now. All these damned dark dwellers are corrupt. I'm Eldeth...didn't expect to see a kinsman in here.

Gad responds to Eldeth, equally quiet and in dwarf: Gadvelt, well met Eldeth. I have been travelling with the wizard here, Tempest, for a while. These other four - locked up together just a couple days, seem fine but not without....quirks? (chin wag at Manju)….What about the others? Tend to agree about that one, but may find ourselves allied with our enemies' enemies.
(He'll relay the gist of conversation when possible to others)

Manju - Kicking at the door Manju will mutter to himself "I can't believe this is how they would treat a celebrity like Manju."

Egret will examine the chains, looking for week points.

Manju - Looking down at Buppido and taking on a more serious demeanor "What's this place all about? Where exactly are we?"
Zhor is going to grumble, stand up, and growl at the group, "Which of you has been here the longest? What the hell are they planning!?"
Bupiddo chuckles. Planning? They plan to use us as slave labor until we die. That's all they're about, really.
