The drow looks up at you, still warily, but some of his haughty pride has returned to his voice.
I am Sarith Kzekarit. Jorlan...he had the misfortune of running into a black pudding. Ilvara saved his life, but he could not escape the disfigurement. He shrugs his shoulders. A priestess of Lolth only gets the best, so he was cast aside for Shoor, the one who was in here earlier. The antimagic fields placed on this cell are powerful, and there's no way around them while you're in here. As far as your equipment, it's probably in the guard tower, in the armory. Good luck getting to that. His eyes narrow again. See? I'm fine! I didn't kill anyone!

Back and ready to DM and chew bubblegum. And I'm alllll outta bubblegum.
"See! Just as I said! There's nothing wrong with your memory. You must be pretty upset that they're treating you so unfairly. I know I'd want to get back at whoever had put me in here unjustly! Let me know if there's any way I can help you. Any way at all."
Don winks at the drow and walks away.
Noticing Egret's discomfort at being left out of the conversations, Don quietly says, "Sorry old boy, didn't mean to exclude you. The drow, calls himself Sarith Kzekarit; gave me a bit of information that might be helpful. That scarred drow -called him Jorlan- that was eyeing us funny used to be the boss's right hand. When his face got all messed up by a black pudding he wasn't pretty enough for her any more and she kicked him to the gutter. Promoted some other pretty-boy named Shoor. Seems a right mess to me, and we might be able to work with that. Sarith also says that there are anti-magic fields on the cell and that we won't get past them and that our gear is probably in the armory under the guard tower, which we also won't get to. The drow says he's in here for a murder he didn't commit. Or... I don't know, it was strange. A murder he doesn't remember committing maybe? Seemed to be able to remember things well enough to me, but there might something there. Of course, he's also a drow so it all might have been a steaming pile of lies."
Don starts turn away, and stops, "Oh! And the quaggath says he's a gold elf prince, under a curse. Can't forget that!"
"I wonder why the scarred one was so interested in us." She says as she finishes filling in anything Don missed. With a sigh she also says... "It seems the antimagic field is holding, since I cannot cast any spells in here. I just don't get why Striker can come in here then, since that is not usually allowed in an antimagic field..."
"I don't know anything about, Striker was it?, but I'm not able to use any magic either, does your new friend have any idea how far the field extends?"
Gadvelt shares what he sees and some ideas: So we can't use magic to get out, but we kind of need it to get away, so that sounds hard. The watchers get lazy by a couple hours in, so we should be able to get away with a lot, but that's not when the door is open. And getting to the tower will be hard - 30 feet of difficult bridge, probably we'd be attacked while crossing unless we got lucky to go between glances. I'm not sure, if we got them to come here that wouldn't attract the others - and we definitely want to fight just the three on duty if we can. Plus we still don't know where to go after that. So, easy as pie, huh?

Don shrugs at Egret. "I haven't tested it. It worked in the shackles, but I haven't wanted to draw a beating by testing it in the door. Perhaps you could give me a hand? Keep an eye on the guards, find a time when they're not paying the best attention and I'll test the key? I don't want to actually open the door, just know if the key works..." Don looks concerned. "I'd hate to get caught though. Even if it just does these irons it's too valuable to lose."
Don looks to Tempest, "The scarred one -Jorlan- he might be our key out of here. He may be eager to prove he shouldn't have been set aside so lightly. It will have to be taken very carefully, but perhaps he might work with us to help rid him of Shoor. Or depending on his level of dissatisfaction, even more. He might be our best bet at recovering our gear from below the tower."
"The one who seemed so interested in us?" Tempest asked with a frown. "You seriously believe any of these guys would help us out of here?" She sighs. "Guess anything is worth a try though..."
The derro gives a nod of encouragement. "You are all doing quite well, just have faith in me and we will get through this just fine." He grins as he glances around the group. "You need to know that you are where you are meant to be and that the path forward has already been laid out for us, we just need to be prepared to take what is offered." He winks then, as if he knows something you do not.
It may be making Shoor look bad would be a motivation, but let's try not to depend on it. Jorlan certainly won't go so far that he might get blamed.
more quietly to Tempest I gave my flint to Karnage - if we make a break maybe give yours to Zhor - he'll be better in melee and you out of it I suspect, Sister. I might even give this club to the orc (or maybe to Manju to give to the orc) as a trust offering. These chains as a flail may do just as well anyways.
Eldeth, maybe you may know or help me look - where the bars of this cell meet the cave wall - is that well crafted? Could a few of us force an opening?

"I think I'll hold onto the rock..." Tempest whispers back. "Without my magic it is all I have..." She gives a little shudder, not enjoying the fact she cannot use her spells if it came to a fight.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

You study each bar and where it goes into the rock ceiling and floor, but don't detect any kind of weakness. Everything seems built solidly. Eldeth shakes her head. Whatever else you can say about these drow, which is quite a bit, they do know how to construct a cage.
Manju - Enjoying a meal Manju will just sit and watch others try to figure things out "When Manju was with the circus we had a lady who would lock herself in chains underwater and escape in front of everyone." Trying to call inspiration from his own story Manju will try and slip his chains off.

Don holds up an empty hand, palm toward Manju. Then he waves it quickly twice in front of Manju's face and where the hand was empty, now it holds a small metal key. Don waves it twice in front of Manju's face again and the hand is empty once more. Quietly he says, "No need to struggle, friend. Not all magic is deadened here."

Don adds, "We just need to find the right time to make our move, and I'd rather they not see all our manacles open when they bring us our broth."
To Tempest Ok - but it isn't all - you have allies, and at least one friend.
Then in general They don't open the door for our gruel. It doesn't seem breakable. A commotion that brings them in here - like last time - Zhor and Manju showed that we might win, but that is a desperate move - let's save that until out of options, since it might bring them in strength. When else do they open the door?

Your chains slip down over your paws, and almost off, but they get caught and won't quite slip all the way off, no matter how hard you try.
