Sinsil will be up before the dawn, she will sit amidships out of the way of the crew, but observing and taking notes on who are the most efficient. She will point out to Salty any slackers at the end of each shift and recommend replacing the bottom 10 percent of each shift.
As the boat moves onward you move out over the Sea of Swords and head Southward and away from shore. The day is passing uneventuflly for the most part, with the ship's crew working like a well-oiled machine. Salty Hook is at the wheel, while her first mate Poor Charm, a female half-elf bard, chats with the crew and your group. You also meet the Boysun and Quartermaster, the former a half-orc named Drizzly Beast and the latter a human wizard named Clever Maps. The crew is made up of half engineers and half sailors, who go about their work with fairly energetic and happy manners. There is also 5 more untrained personell on the ship, doing odd jobs around the place such as scrubbing decks and other tasks.
In the middle of the afternoon one of the lookouts calls "Land Ahoy..." From the front of the ship. "You daft?" The captain asks, moving forward to have a look. "Aint no spose ta be land here..." Regardless it soon becomes obvious that a small island is in the path ahead of the ship.
Island detail rolls: size: 6 miles by 4 miles. Theme: 6 Wild.
As the island gets closer you can see that it is overgrown with plants and that many of the trees and plants have large webss coating them, with thick webbing going between trees.
"No be reason to tarry here..." The captain says as she looks it over. She glances to the group, or to any group members close by. "Ye call though... Keep movin or check er out?"

Shieldbiter would have been up for a sunrise workout. If he could find someone to spar with, he would have been doing that. If not he would have just found a location (whether on deck or in a room available) to do his routine workout progression and swordplay.
"Well now, that was refreshing," Shieldbiter thinks to himself. He then wanders to back to his room to get cleaned up. He spends time sharpening his blade and making sure that his armor in the perfect condition. He also gives a good lookover his Signature Equipment, his shield, which was made from the shell of a giant turtle. Then before heading up to the kitchen for a bite to eat, he spends time inspecting the Living Loot Satchel (which appears to be a battle-scarred iron lock box). "What are we going to fill you with on this little trip of ours?" he says to the box as he exits the room. After getting some food from the kitchen Shieldbiter heads back up to the deck for some fresh air.
"Land?" he looks back at the captain's expression then back at this small island in the middle of the water. "What do we have here?" he says to himself as his steely gaze stays focused on the island.

Perception 14
You see the same as mentioned before, an island with lots of plants and webs.
Sinsil will make note of the island, then blow a note on her songhorn. "Call to vote! What sayeth the party, shall we make landfall or pass by the island?"
Ethan looks over the island, but knows it is not related to their current mission. he shrugs and nods as he hears the call for a vote.
"I vote to keep going." He says as he looks over his shoulder to the others. He then turns back ahead, talking into his whisper jar, adding in his notes on the island as he looks over the ship's rail at it.
"I vote for missions that make money, ha, or favors," Shieldbiter states, "however, make note of it on the map, maybe we can check it out on the way back?"
Cas, upon coming out to check what the commotion is all about, votes in favor of moving on. "Anything that has plants that have been alive that long yet not recorded on any map we have can't be good. Best we check we're where we think we are, mark this on the map, and then keep going".

So far this session I have hit my teammates twice, flat-out missed 3 times, and only hit the enemy twice. Trust me, you don't want to borrow my dice.
Perhaps, but we don't know if it's just spiders, or how far they can sling their webs. I've heard tales of such spiders existing in far off lands, and I'd rather not meet them. I stil say to move on for now.

Nusas and Salty Hook speak in low tones to the side. Nusas then shrugs and walks over. "I too vote to move on, and Salty says she has already cast her vote in this." Nusas gives the captain a glance over her shoulder. "Seems we are moving onward then..." She gives the group a nod and turns to look over the railing as the ship lifts up and, staying well above the island, continues on its way.
(OOC: let me know if you guys are doing any of the actions I just posted in the PM, since I can add those in to my details here as we go.)
The rest of the day passes uneventfully as the ship continues on, soon passing by the overgrown island. Night comes and goes, and we are at the start of a new day...
Day 2:
Hazard: 12
Encounter: 4
You continue on Southward and further away form land that day and see nothing of concern or interest.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
On the 8th day the sky ahead rolls with dark clouds, a storm on the approach.
Ship checks:
Captain: 15
First Mate: 27
Bosun: 23
Quartermaster: 6
Crew: 13
"Down!" Salty Hook yells. "Make fer that bit of land..." She directs the crew towards a small island a bit off port. Poor Charm is chatting with a crew member, and doesn't react quickly, a bit startled by the change in direction.
"Get those ropes secured!" Bellows Drizzly Beast at the top of his lungs, sending the engineers moving as he gets the ship prepared for the coming storm.
"It doesn't look that bad..." Crafty Maps says as he eyes the storm. "We could probably just ride it out..." The captain ignores him and the ship is soon getting turned towards the island.
The crew works quickly and efficiently, getting the ship lowered down to the island and secured to a point where a cliff will protect the ship from the worst of the storm. All in just the nick of time though, as the storm hits and is far worse than the quartermaster had thought it would be.
Sinsil would have spent that first uneventful week setting up a 2 silver buy-in blackjack game. 10% of all winnings going to the house and therefore the franchise of course. (Read as shady business practice.)
Each day, Opal Fire spends about half the day on deck. The times land is spotted, he compares their position to the map the captain entrusted to him. He tends to be in perpetual rounds, also spending quite a lot of time below deck, analyzing how different parts of the battle balloon work, how the different crew work together, memorizing faces and mannerisms of those he deems important (especially his fellow adventurers). He is never in one place below deck very long, but returns regularly, spending little segments of time in each place over and over throughout the day. He speaks almost never, but he is always watching. And, always, he wears his large pack and the cloak over it.
DM, per his usual habits, he's paying close attention to locks and security, hiding places and escape routes, availability of valuables, and analyzing the wealth of the other individuals on board and judging whether there is a criminal contact aboard. He's not doing anything with the information — just gathering it.
