The people in the tavern are not really interested in you except for their initial curiosity and are going back to there conversations or listening to the singer. A party of three are talking in hushed tones in the farthest corner.
Pori will sit at an open table closest to the party of 3 to see if he can make out any of the hushed conversation.
Seeing Jad showing signs of distress, Pan decides to push the man a little, even if what he's hiding might prove unrelated to the current investigation. "That will be for us to decide. If you have something to say, say it now while we're relaxed, enjoying this wonderful ale."
Jad holds his hands up and smiles some more.
"We don't want any problem with the Fist that is all."
"Fear not, friend. Let us know if you hear of any trouble.", then he adds, remembering this was Baldur's Gate: "I mean... any out-of-the-ordinary trouble."
Pan pushes away from the bar, leaving behind a spinning silver for Jad, and says to Ingrid: "Shall we check behind the tavern, then?"
“Seems to be the thing to do - I’ll let the others know in case someone’s playing funny games in here” Ingrid downed her pint, the nipped over to Pori to let him know, before following Pan out the door.
Nikkoli gives a smile and calls out a thanks to the proprietor and barmaids for the drink. He then gives a small jog to catch up to his comrades headed out the door.
Once outside, he looks over to everyone else and gives a self deprecating chuckle, "Anyone have better luck than me?"
Ingrid heads toward the gate out of the courtyard and onto the road - it’s closed, so that’s one escape route cut off, while the rest of the squad is toward the door back in. “Hi!” She said in her best cheery voice “are you Odin? We’ve been told you might be able to help us with some enquiries”
Pori slides over to Hauttrag and in a hushed tone says
Maybe we should stay back. This dwarf is awfully jumpy and staring up at a Tiefling and a Bugbear probably won't help his nerves too much and could hurt us getting the info we need.
He will stand towards the back of the group and let Ingrid talk with Odin.
Nikkoli waves and warmly speaks up, "Our captain said that you owed him a favor. He wanted you to tell us what you had on the followers of the Dead Three."
The dwarf comes down a notch and gives you all a stern and non amused look.
"They all take me for a dimwit here and they let their tongues flap and flip when I m around. Not that I m not aiming at appearing strange in the head" he makes a twisted face and you are not sure he is playing.
"Your captain is a shrewd one. And ambitious. But he can see beyond the obvious. You ll find what you a looking for at the Shining Lathern Bathhouse several streets from here."
You can see that he cringes as the main gate opens and 6 men walk in. They have the looks of thugs and all wear a red bandana tied to their forearm.
Odin turns to look at you.
"If I might trouble you for some help." he adds sheepishly.
“That’s a bit vague - anything else you can tell us?” Noting the men entering the yard and reflexively checking her weapons, Ingrid added “about what we’ll find in the bathhouse or about these gentlemen?”
The sight of the thugs makes Pan wince, as it reminds him of bullies he used to avoid in his childhood. But now he had power. He makes a couple of steps on an intercept with the new group, then says: "Good day! You have walked in the middle of a Flaming Fist investigation. Please state your business here."
With arms akimbo so there is no mistaking his size and reach, Hauttrag positions himself flanking Pan. Ah, they wear red rags - they used the same method to seperate out litters in the old cave's creche. Children need to be shown a firm hand.

Backing up the Half-Elf, Ingrid adds “as we said, no trouble, friend - unless there has been some?”
(can I Aid to give Pan advantage? If not, Ingrid rolled 21 for persuasion and 21 for insight)

The courtyard outside is large and leads to the road onthe other side. The gate is closed for now.
On the left of the courtyard are stables.
A dark skinned and lean, one of the leaner ones you have ever seen, dwarf is tending to a horse.
He seems engrossed in his labor and doesn't notice you.
While the dwarf is busy, Hauttrag looks for exits - both regular and dwarf-sized - in an attempt to cover off any escape should he bolt.

There are no real doors but the one you came out of and the gate.
There is a ladder going up in the stables.
The dwarf jumps when Ingrid speaks and sees all of you cutting of his exits. The horse whines and shies away but is stopped by his restrains.
Odin gets his hammer and a small knife in front of him.
"What are you doing scaring the hair out of my beard ?"

Nikkoli kept close to Odin, wanting to keep an eye on the man, while also protecting him if it came to it.
The leader of the group, a large man with slimy black hair grins and looks at Pan.
"Who do you think sent us. All is not black and white in the kingdom of the Fists."
Odin is not moving.
