DMs note: Xan, they are within range if you want to throw it, do you mean wait until they're in range to use it as melee? Either way, if you're going with Daggers just remember you can do 2 weapon fighting. Let me know when you want to take your turn, you are considered to be holding your turn for now.
(Xanlanann readies himself.
Eiji steps forward, but looks terrified, like he doesn't know what to do. He starts sobbing in fear.)
"I don't wanna die, man! Forget this, screw the kid, I'm out of here!!!"
(Eiji then goes running like a bat out of hell in a different direction and you all never see him again.)
O_o
(Meanwhile, the Giant Boar runs and goes straight for Walton, a mighty clash as the beast collides with the heavily armored Cleric!)
Attack: 7 Damage: 10
(Walton's shield stands up to the Giant Boar, who bounces off and turns to take another run at the party.
The other boars attack as well, one going after Fredrick and one going after Xan!)
Attack on Fredrick: Attack: 22 Damage: 2
Attack on Xanlanann: Attack: 23 Damage: 3
(Both Fredrick and Xanlanann sustain some minor gashes as the Boar's tusk cuts into them. It could have been worse, though.)
Fredrick, you're up.
DMs note: Just so you guys know, Eiji dropped out due to real life obligations, so I just wrote him out. 4 is a more manageable party size anyways.
Question to DM: you said they were 50 yards (150 ft) away, and I moved 30ft forward (120ft to enemy), and daggers have a thrown range of 20/60ft... the boars moved 120ft in 1 round?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Frederick grunts in discomfort as he receives a minor gash. In retaliation, he aims an arrow point blank in the face of the boar who attacked him. He releases, and lets the arrow fly.
Walton, having weathered the blow, brandishes his holy symbol at the giant boar, speaking some kind of prayer in Celestial. A streak of radiant light fires off from the symbol, targeting the Giant Boar.
Guiding Bolt: 13
Damage: 7 Radiant damage.
(If it hits, the next attack made on the Giant Boar until the end of Walton's next turn has advantage.)
DMs notes: Ok, your DM is a dummy, guys. I meant feet, not yards. Sorry about that. Fredrick, you don't have to roll separately. Use the Combat tab in the Dice Roller next time.
(Fredrick shoots an arrow at the Boar that slashed him from point blank range, injuring it badly!
The rest of you watch in awe as Walton's Guiding Bolt streaks thru the sky and hits the Giant Boar! The Giant Boar is glowing very lightly, but it is tough and it did not do as much damage as it could have.)
Erhorn, you're up.
Whoever attacks the Giant Boar next please remember to take your attack roll with advantage.
The giant boar seems to be the biggest problem to Erhorn, so he tries his single available cast of Dissonant Whispers (save DC WIS 12 according to my sheet) on the Giant Boar. Does it provoke an attack of opportunity if it fails and needs to get the hell away from Erhorn?
Music bore the same relation to Erhorn's humming as it would to the noise made by a team of drunken, glass-smashing revellers while they were being serenaded by multiple cats. The noises made by the Elven warlock should have resulted in blood fountaining from his ruptured throat, as the strain should have been too much to bear. Thankfully, only the Boar and the Warlock were privy to the tune, as he locked eyes with the animal and tried his very best not to be concerned by his own horrifying song. (Damage roll (just in case): 5)
"Anyone got a throat lozenge?" he finally said, voice a hoarse croak.
(To DM: and now you -really need- to tell me how spellcasting works, because I haven't worked that out yet. Do I need to roll anything, or is it just the Giant Boar who rolls? The spell description doesn't say anything about a ranged attack roll, just saving rolls, so I'm pretty sure Guiding Bolt still has effect I'm intending Eldritch Blast next time. Is that different?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
DMs note: Just so you all know what Erhorn just did.
Dissonant Whispers
You whisper a discordant melody that only one creature of your choice within range can hear, wracking it with terrible pain. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, it takes 3d6 psychic damage and must immediately use its reaction , if available, to move as far as its speed allows away from you. The creature doesn’t move into obviously dangerous ground, such as a fire or a pit. On a successful save, the target takes half as much damage and doesn’t have to move away. A deafened creature automatically succeeds on the save.
(Xan throws a dagger at one of the boars, but it goes flying over its head and gets stuck in a nearby tree!
Erhorn whispers a melody and suddenly the Giant Boar starts squealing and thrashing around like crazy!)
Wisdom Save: 9
(The Boar is very, very badly hurt and has slowed considerably, but starts to run away from you all. He ends up about 80 feet away from you all.)
Xanlanann, you're up again.
DMs note: Erhorn, certain spells are purely based on if they save or not, but some, like Eldritch Blast, are ranged attacks. Whispers is totally based on if the target succeeds on their save or not.
Sorry, Xan, the Giant Boar ran away 80 feet, you can't reach it in one turn to attack with your rapier. You can use your shortbow or you can switch your attack to one of the smaller boars. Which would you rather do?
Frederick sees the Giant Boar charging towards the party, and decides to focus his energy on him, for now. Aiming with his bow, intent on getting a headshot on the Giant Boar, he releases and lets his arrow fly towards it.
Walton moves towards the giant boar, boldly presenting his holy symbol! A radiant flame flares up around the giant boar, briefly illuminating the area with a bright light.
(Sacred Flame; the giant boar must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or take 2 radiant damage.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"ACKPTH!"
Erhorn doesn't seem to be very good at giving cries of pain. Instead his outcry seems to be based on sheer disbelief at the boar's effrontery in attacking him. He switches targets from the Giant Boar to the ordinary Boar who tried to gore him, draws one of his daggers, which he's proficient with, and tries a melee attack (10 to hit 6 piercing damage on a hit).
(Change in plans. Eldritch Blast was the plan... until something melee-attacked Erhorn. Is 'disengage' an option? What does that entail?)
DMs note: The Boars usually back off to get a running start. I don't really care for the rules of 'attack of opportunity' and such, so you'll find me very lax with them anyways.
(Erhorn draws his dagger and manages to slice deep into the Boar's back! The Boar is badly hurt!)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Frederick winces, getting a little out of range of the regular boar that attacked him. He pulls his bow back, aiming again at the head. "C'mon, die, you..." He lets another arrow fly.
Attack: 7 Damage: 7

Ok. If they would have been in range last round, I would have thrown a dagger Attack: 10 Damage: 5

Switch to the closest boar
Xanlanann - Half-Elf Rogue
(Xanlanann uses his Rapier to slash the Boar that attacked him and manages to cut its throat perfectly. The boar whimpers as it falls over dead.
The Giant Boar shakes off the effects of the Dissonant Whispers and starts charging at the party, but doesn't quite reach it before you all can react.
The last regular boar thrashes around before going after Erhorn.)
Attack: 21 Damage: 4
(The Boar hits Erhorn but doesn't manage to get his tusk on him, bouncing off relatively harmlessly.)

Xanlanann follows toward the boar and make an attack with his rapier
21 Damage: 10 (do I get sneak attack because the boar has someone next to it?)
Then with his offhand stabs a dagger into the boar (or throws it at the giant boar if this one is dead)
Attack: 12 Damage: 4
edited to remove modifiers from offhand attack
Xanlanann - Half-Elf Rogue
(Xanlanann tries to stab the Boar with his daggers, but the Boar's thick skin manages to deflect the blades.
The Giant Boar keeps charging, taking aim at Walton again!)
Attack: 16 Damage: 8
(Walton proves to be a rock once again, absorbing the Giant Boar's charge while avoiding any damage.
The Regular Boar also tries to attack, this time aiming it's Tusk at Fredrick!)
Attack: 10 Damage: 4
(Fredrick manages to jump out of the way, landing nimbly on his feet.)
