"Silvered weapons can sometimes find purchase against evil creatures that normal weapons cannot. My magic usually does the trick, but we should certainly hold onto that blade in case we meet such a monster." Olin replies. "Now, if we're going to root out the evil here we'd best search those hallways we passed a ways back." Olin leads the way, reestablishing his pattern of casting shillelagh and guidance every minute.
(whoops, forgot we hadn't moved the stones yet, pretend I said all that AFTER we're done here)
Since you're not in combat, Aga can just keep struggling to move the stones until she's successful. So, she eventually dislodges each of the childrens sealing stones, revealing empty wooden coffins on top of the stone bier. The party lays the bones of the children to rest in each. Aga blinks and shakes her head as the coffin's cover over Rosavalda's is put in place. The group pushes the sealing stones into place.
The ground trembles slightly, dust sprinkling down from the cracks in the stone and clay ceilings above you. You hear the distant sound of crashing as the ground shakes and dust settles everywhere. After a few moments it stops.
(Also, let me know who holds onto the silvered short sword)
"You are right Meepo. Sometimes I get ahead of myself." Olin looks around worriedly as the house begins shaking and comes to rest. "That is ominous indeed."
"Done..." Meepo says with a sigh, adjusting what is left on his magic disk as he starts off after Olin, now that the kids skeletons are where they belong. He does feel good that he followed Mordekai's advice, but they would not have been lost if he kept them either. He sighs again as he hopes to find more lost things, to help him get over no longer having the skeletons.
He does not seem concerned about the rumble or dust. "Tunnels always rumble and dusty..." he says with a shrug as he continues on.
(I hadn't realised that Silvered was a significant weapon trait. Someone other than Mordekai should take it in that case. Whilst a shortsword is an upgrade, Mordekai isn't likely to use a melee weapon often)
Mordekai instinctively ducks a little as the whole basement seems to rumble, and he agrees with Olin. "Ominous indeed. Could that have been related to the children? This house itself feels sentient somehow." Mordekai follows as Olin leads the way towards the passages as yet unexplored.
With silt still settling the group moves through the hallways going to the last hallways they hadn't fully explored. The turn left at the intersection and after thirty feet of twisting hallway arrive a a room that is festooned with moldy skeletons that hang from rusty shackles against the walls. A wide alcove in the south wall contains a painted wooden statue carved into the likeness of a gaunt, pale-faced man wearing a lumionous black cloak, his pale left hand resting on the head of a wolf that stands next to him. In his right hand he holds a smoky-gray crystal orb. A hallway exits the room on the far right wall.
The group cautiously enters the room, watching their steps for false floors and examining the skeletons. Behind one skeleton on the left wall the section has fine cracks, perhaps revealed from the shifting, and it seems obvious there's some sort of secret door behind it. It seems to be an ordinary wall that was concealed behind a layer of clay. A stone staircase climbs ten feet up to a landing.
Taking a quick look up the stairs reveals a short ladder and a opening trap door that's bolted shut from this side. Pushing it open and you guys see it opens up into the den from the house above on the first floor.

"No up." Meepo says with a shake of his head. He turns back and heads to the other hall leading onward. "More to see." he explains. "More lost find..." He says as he looks around for anything more of interest.
Meepo will take any of the skeletons he can get off of the wall and put them on his disk. Considering them a bad exchange for the kids's skeletons he had to leave behind.
Mordekai will stare at the statue for a moment, taking in the details, trying to commit them to memory for later. Then he'll follow Meepo with the others as they continue.
Detect Magic is still active. Nothing here emanates any other source of magic other than the general magic of the house and basement.
Meepo proceeds to start pulling skeletons down, one by one, stacking their bones on the floating disk which has become more and more loaded with a vast array of strange looking items. Reflecting on its contents, the whole thing is pretty gruesome.

After waiting a goodly period for Meepo to pull down the skeletons, with a disc full of bones amidst other questionable tokens and bits from around, the group continues on. The grisly pile of goods floating magically after them.
The short hallway out of this room short hallway leads to a closed door.

Kane is lost in thought as he follows the group throughout the remainder of the house. When his companions pause at the door he speaks up.
“We have done our part here, none can deny that. But there is unfinished business. Who were those figures, and why were the children murdered? That statue of the man and wolf are important characters in this story, I am convinced. We have barely scratched the surface of this mystery.”
"Indeed. This house holds many skeletons, both literally and figuratively. A great evil has been at work here. Perhaps we will find more clues about the owners of the house once we are finished in the basement."
(OOC: How long has it been since we opened the crates, by the way?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(OOC: It's been about forty minutes since you opened the crates. Which makes me wonder how detect magic was still going. Olin had clearly cast it again while waiting the 15 minutes for Meepo to take down all the skeletons.)
Meepo walks up to the door, examining it closely for traps. He pushes a finger against a spot under the hinge that looks a bit strange. Hmmm, sticky. Very sticky. In fact. He tries to pull his finger away, but it seems glued to the door.
Then a giant mouth opens in the door and it tries to bite Meepo! Meepo NO like this door!!!!
Attack: 23 Damage: 5
(everyone roll init as the door comes alive. Meepo, you're grappled and have disadvantage to escape.)
Enemy init: 19

"No bite Meepo!" Meepo calls out as he cowers down before the door thing. "Not Meepo... Bad door... Meepo no like..." He is sobbing and drawing attention to himself.
