Daishi and Anyll approach the the pit carefully and see a young elf ranger who introduces himself as Ash, he is climbing out of the not too deep trap and brushes himself off.
The darkness has overtaken the forest and the dim light provided by the sliver of moon barely breaks through the trees. ( Daishi will need a light source)
( once you are introduced to ash, inwill give the next piece. If he doesn't post shortly, I will move forward as if he has)
●●●- the trail to ice spire hold, just past the star metal hills
You awaken, refreshed and rdy for dragon. You eat a quick meal and begin the trudge up the mountain trail towards destiny and fame. After a few hours of walking you see a strange sight. A large wagon being driven by a bug bear, being pulled by what appears to be 6 domestic pigs. Maybe being pulled is too strong a word, as they are barely budging the wagon, which the back area is covered in a half-dozen that looks like cut in half barrels connected with iron straps and covered in iron spikes. As you are walking at the strange scene the bugbear stands up and seems to point in your direction, you have been spotted. You are approximately 100 feet from the wagon
The darkness has overtaken the forest and the dim light provided by the sliver of moon barely breaks through the trees.
Daishi puts away his shield and lights a torch now that night is falling.
How far away are we from the lodge? If it's far, Daishi will propose camping here and setting a watch. Otherwise, we can walk back in the dark under torchlight. Was there some other purpose to being out here that is yet unfulfilled?

The intruders are too focused on entering for their prey and dont notice you. You take cover behind a dark lump which from the smell has been dead for several days. Before they enter the building you are able to count 4 creeps. All have weapons drawn. On the last one to enter, you notice a red arm band just as she enters the door to the mill house
"Well we came to warn a woman about a dragon... looks like someone should have warned her about bandits.." Skip would say to Tibby and Jaeson with a hint of anger. Chip would place his spoon in his belt as the light continued to glow. He would then draw his light crossbow from his back and move towards the mill. Quickly and quietly moving towards the low wall around part of the mill, he would lay against the side of the wall before yelling. "HEY! What are you doing there!? I don't think you belong here now get!" The halfling would try his best to make his voice sound deep and intimidating. If the men continued to try to enter the home, he would fire a bolt towards the closest red-banded bandit...
"You are a bit late for dinner..." Bree calls out to the figure. "Can we help you with something?" Glancing around at the others. "Why doesn't the snow crunch under its feet?" She asks in a too-loud whisper.
By the time Libby returned to tell Skip and Jaeson the details, the bandits had already entered the mill. But, upon hearing the halfling chef call out to them, one of them peeks outside and gets a crossbow bolt in his shoulder for the trouble, and to add insult-injury to injury Libby hits him square with a vicious insult.
" Gah! They stuck me with arrow" the bandit yells, " and they insulted me mum?" He pulls back into the millhouse and closes the door.
Your hear a voice from outside yell at the Red Arms and the words of mean spirited mockery directed at the same guy and the Yelp of pain both of body and self-esteem from the Red Arm a she slams the door shut..
Younare on the second floor, the Red Arms are on the first, three are searching, ond is bleeding from a shoulder wound
" She cannot speak words, she visits only death. The villainous murder of my people must have awoken her. She is a not living husk from a by-gone era that hasn't been seen in 100 years, and she brings terror to our camp..."
"Are you sure it is not just misunderstood?" Bree asks as she eyes up the figure. She does not like the look of it, that is for sure, so she readies spells.
"I think I got'em..." Skip would say looking to the others as light continues to radiate from his belt. "I don't really want to go after them... I'm not real great at close combat... I am better at making food for people than fighting them..." He would say with a sigh. "But we gotta make sure she is ok... " he would say as he puts his crossbow on to his back and pulls one of the kitchen knives and holds it in his right hand while pulling the spoon from his belt with his left. "I guess I will go first... unless one of you want to... that.. might be better" Skip would say looking towards his companions.
Skip would then quickly move towards the mill...
(OOC: Are there any windows we can look through? Would Skip be able to see any of them inside without actually going inside?)
"Well they are inside with our gold... I mean our girl. Jeason you're a strong much larger fellow than skip and me inthonk you should go point.. Plus I can see how inspired you still are by my tune a moment ago."
Jaeson graciously took the inspiration given to him by Tibby,, and was now readying himself for combat, even drawing his dagger. He would not need it, however. Skip's words seemed to have done the trick. Happy that this encounter seemed to be ended early, the human sheathed his blade, with a sigh of relief. "I will go first, my friend." Jaeson caught up with Skip, walking a little ahead of him. Though a little weary, he made time to turn to Tibby, giving him a thumbs up, acknowledgement and thanks for the bard's help.

"Looks to be four of em, and they're all armed. One has a red red arm band does that mean anything to either of you?"
Tibby draws his rapier and asks, "what's the play here?" With a huge smile on his face.

You can quite recall the details, but you think it might be a snow maiden, an undead horror that not much has been written of.

There are no windows on the ground floor
You will have to enter the mill by the one door or climb to the third floor window and enter from the top
