"Hold!" Kharnyl shouts at the elf. "Were you not the one that told me that this creature -" he looks to Gotcha, "is not evil to his very core? Yet you have seen the evil deeds of his kind and judged them yourself. How can we know that this learned goblin is any different? Why shouldn't I take this Hammer and rid Toril of one more of these foul creatures?
Moving between all the goblins, Hitch included, Kharnyl withdraws his shield, emblazoned with there holy symbol of Moradin, and carefully taps the point into the soft earth before laying his hammer down before him, the handle leaving against the shield to form a crude shrine. Kneeling before his shield, he pulls an amulet work about the neck loose from his chin shirt. Grasping the small electrum anvil in his hand, he bends his head toward the ground, eyes closed. "Moradin," he speaks softly, "guide me - if any among these foul creatures are not pure evil, give me a sign."
Releasing the amulet, Kharnyl raises his head. He forms a first with his right hand and lays flat his left, palm up, and quickly drops his first onto his palm, mimicking a hammer falling upon an anvil. When he opens his eyes, here see a bright Halo if red light, suffused with swirling veins of black surrounding the goblin attackers, but Gotch stands instead aglow with radiance the color of blueshine.
"These evil goblins must be destroyed." he says curtly, grabbing his hammer by the handle. "Gotch," he looks to the goblin, "you are not evil, but you know these creatures are. Though you may share their accursed blood, darkness does not live in your heart." He places a gentle hand on the goblin's shoulder. But your sympathy may prove our undoing. If you arer to join us in our search for Gundren, I must know that you see, as I do, that these evil things cannot be suffered to live."
Pointing to a struggling captive goblin he declares: "Let what must be done - be done."
"You do what you feel you must." Gotch informs the religious zelote with a shrug. "I will say I think convincing them to work for us is a better option, but I do not feel strongly enough in that to stand between them and yourself. Feel free to slaughter a helpless person, and I hope that it makes you feel good to have done so..." He pauses as he starts to turn away. "You may have to have someone cast that spell of yours on yourself if you continue down that path very far though, since I hear that killing helpless people starts to become a craving for some..."
"I said I will not allow it you are crossing a line from justice to murder evil or not killing these unarmed goblins will make you no better than them." sighing in exasperation Rhogar hefts his warhammer and shield into a fighting stance "I will stop you if i have to but i beg you to reconsider killing these creature just because they are evil makes you nothing but self righteous zealots all creatures should be given a chance to change!"
T"things are midnless killing machines. They are a disease. Yes they live and they breathe, and none would wish their hand to be separated from their body, but if that hand were affected by mummy rot, well either the hand must die or the body will die with it."
"I'd let you guys squabble over this, but I fear that our friend Sildar is paying the price even as we debate this." Gotch says as he whirls back to face the two. "They said they are planning to eat Sildar." He restates his earlier words once more, but putting extra stress on them this time. "Yes, many of my folk are evil, yes, killing these laying here helpless is bad, let's get over it and start moving." He throws up his hands. "Unless there is to be conflict among us, then you either have to set these goblins free or tie them up and take them to town." Gotch states the options. "if we go to town Sildar may very well be dead before we return." He moves over towards the goblins. "I am sure you have been listening to this rant of ours, so let me know, are you willing to die as my friends here wish, or do you want to consider who your new boss is?"
Listening to Gotch speak of Sildar's name, and seen Rhogar interpose between her and the Goblin. Loraviel gets back to her senses. "Ohh I am terribly sorry." Green nature energy stops surrounding the Hand of Oskana, and the vines retreat into the club. Loraviel puts her weapon and her shield away. She closes her dark cloak and one can no longer tell that the Wood Elf is armed at all. "Seeing the dead horses filled my heart with hate. I do apologize." Loraviel says to Rhogar with a slight bow. She is also mortified that Elias did not approve of her actions, though she does not show it.
"We should not kill senselessly, even if they are Goblins." Looking at Kharnyl. "We also should not fight amongst ourselves either, Master Dwarf. We must work together if we are to save Sildar." She slowly walks to the Goblin. "Listen very carefully, for your life depends on it. Where is Gundren's companion, the Human? Where is this "cave", and how many of you are there?"

Gotch watches the other goblins and tries to determine if they are going to betray the group at thie first oppertunity, or if they are afraid enough of them to do waht they are told.
Kharnyl replies, "I promise this:I won't be the first to draw a weapon if we find this goblin cave. But I'll be shocked if a horde of goblins is going to let us saunter in to their lair and take back the dwarf they kidnapped after ambushing him, shooting his horse out from under him, and dragging him off to be eaten. So, you have my word. I will not make any unprovoked attacks and I will not engage noncmbatants, but if you walk in there expecting to be met with surrender, I fear a deadly surprise awaits you."
"Please don't mistake my resistant to killing these goblins as me being naive...an armed goblin charging at you deserves its fate but one that surrenders and is unarmed it poses no current threat killing it while it's bound and helpless is tantamount to murder" turning to Kharnyl a bit embarrassed at how quickly he turned his anger on him "If you are set on their death put a blade in their hand and if they are willing to face you then so be it, but I have a feeling after seeing your prowess in battle the chances they will fight are slim."
"If they fight they die. On that, we are on the same page." Elias nods. " It is not because I don't kill everything that seems evil that I am innocent in the ways of the worlds."
"So after Sildar or to Phandalin? I am worried for him but also it will be hard to track through the woods with a cart of provisions and two goblin captives any thoughts?"
“I promise that I shall not kill innocent folks. I also should be able to guide us through the wood. I am quite comfortable in it. After all, my home was deep in the woods.” Says Loraviel.
