[You entered at the Eastern end of Z1. The skull door is the door at the North of Z1. You went up the stairs to Z2 where the skeletons hopped out from behind the stone column. You chose the southernmost (left) tunnel to Z4, with the crystals. The Kraken door is up those stairs between Z3 and Z4. You can just see the ledge at the Northern most part of Z3.]
[I'm going to let Scoria has a say before Cimeri gets to the high ledge.]
Scoria will offer to boost Cimeri up on the ledge - that seems to be the group’s consensus, and she’ll trust to the decisions of those smarter than her

Cimeri initiative: 13
Recovering from both - falling and an attack of a sudden guard (they did prepare to meet unwanted guests!) Cimeri tried to regain her posture and attack ugly creature back:
Taman's crossbow bolt appears to hit a 'vital' part of the ooze; it quivers and lets out a burbling shriek as the bolt enters, then begins to hiss as it's corroded by the acidic slime covering the creature. Cimeri rolls to her side and slaps her shortsword into it, slicing it in half and kicking with her foot. The sword sizzles as the acid eats away at the blade [permanent -1 to damage rolls, sorry!] and Cimeri shakes her foot to fling the acid from her boot. Scoria halts her thrust in mid-motion, not wanting to damage her glaive.
Flynn approaches and uses mage hand to fling the two halves of inert goo into the corner of the cave, out of harm's way.
"Should we check out that ledge anyway or try something else?" he says, arms akimbo.
[7:15 PM: MO - Cimeri, Taman, Flynn, Scoria: Scoria has taken 5 damage, all others healthy]

Cimeri made a mental note about big slimy creatures and metals (how many more of such notes will she need, she wondered). But there was no time to pondering on abstract thing now. She tried to shut down the pain from the wounds, took a deep breath and tried again to climb up to the opening.
Cimeri, showing the persistence of youth, scrambles the ten feet to top of the ledge and rolls over into a pile of bones. The tunnel goes no further than five feet back before ending; it seems to be more of an alcove than tunnel. Cimeri looks about at the scattered bones and sees a small case, like a quiver, that is intact and bears few marks of wear.
[Note: you all should feel free to look at Flynn's character sheet and use him as you'd use your own character; do you have access to his sheet?]
[7:17 PM: MO - Cimeri, Taman, Flynn, Scoria: Scoria has taken 5 damage, all others healthy]
OOC: Cimeri is a true hero - can only do something after a good beating.
"There is nothing here beside old bones and a small case," reported Cimeri in a loud whisper. "No tunnel either, just a small cave or alcove. Should I bring that case down?"
If others express curiosity and have no other suggestion, she would slide back down with a case in her hand.

The ground rumbles as if the very earth is angry; the air boils around them and a thundering voice says,
"HOW CAN THIS SITE NOT ALLOW PIC POSTING!"
OK 4th wall officially broken. Hold please, will take a bit to get the map pics and such up, as they're on my mac at home and... ahem...I'm at work...

This is a bad, bad place!
Cimeri gratefully accepted Scoria's help but rocks proved to be too slippery.
(If there is time, Cimeri would repeat the attempt. Mechanically - take that "passive" check, 10 + modifier, 11 in Cimeri's case)

Cimeri lands on her bottom, letting out an undistinguished, "Oof!". She glares at Scoria, whose boost apparently wasn't enough. Scoria shrugs.
As Cimeri readies to try again, a stalactite falls from the ceiling, morphing into a giant glob of ooze that exudes a pseudopod to swipe at her!

"Just as well try it again." Taman says. He casts guidance on the tiefling before she tries this time.

"Anything up there?" Taman will call up, though trying to not shout. "Is there a path forward?"
"Certainly bring the case." Taman will call up.
