"He's on his way to the capital, Xiladen. Right now not a lot like his chances, but he's clearly the right choice. He's the most ethical Emperor the East has seen since Pax-Lator! Plus, he has the intellectual and diplomatic skills better than any other candidate. So, we just have to get him on a larger platform. We're conducting a series of speeches and rallies to try and gather more votes for him in the upcoming Election. We're not gone until tomorrow, I'm sure you could meet him, if you want."

“That’s a tempting offer, but we might be a little busy the next couple days. We’re searching for a relic that was stolen from a nearby town, have you seen any other relic hunters lately?”
"None come to mind," Dauvyn says. "Except for the rebels who came in, they seem like they know a thing or two about relic hunting, but they seem to be rabid or out of their mind."

“Uh oh, rabid rebels seem bad. Know anything more about them?” Jorel will let the concern show on his face and look around, if any of his allies are nearby and not occupied he’ll gesture them over.
Aldin listens to Black Cat's tale and shakes his head in frustration, "It does not make any sense my bird friend. There seems to be two different factions working together here but they also seem to be mixed in? Why do some of the silver cloaks bare the red cloaks symbol? If they are the same why would they need to bribe each other? To that end, if the red cloaks are based in the tavern and have a tunnel that leads underground from there to here, why would those half-orcs carry such a large sum of money through the streets? No, this does not make much sense to me, but then again it certainly seems like a political problem."
He looks again at Black Cat, his shoulders sagging, "Why can we not be out in the woods hunting or blazing a path to riches? I do not believe there is anything to gain here at the moment, what say you?"

Smoke's tail curls up a bit getting a little nervous.
Well, with the recent attacks its clear the town has suffered. A man that would save a child from a burning building would surely care about a whole town of people as well.
He will put on a kind face gesturing Ester as the man that aids this town.
Using your influence to have merchants with quality goods come here will aid the town greatly. I understand your trying to be modest about this but there is no need. I believe you have asked Zyn-dar here so the health of your fellow townsfolk is assured and can prosper once more. I know i would be gratefull to you if i lived in this town.
Smoke will turn to the crowd once more and address them.
Surely you are gratefull to have such a selfless and caring person in your town, are you not?
Hopefully getting the crowd to cheer and think greatly about Ester would boost his ego. Then look back to Ester.

The bald man looks back at the tunnel, knowing that the others are back there but so is the tavern. While here they have an antique store and some half-orcs. He rocks his head back and forth mulling it over
He finally nods to Black Cat, "Let's take a look." He examines the building looking for entrances, wether doors or windows.
Dauvyn racks his brain. "Well, they're a whole assortment of races. Tieflings, dragonborn, half-orcs, and more. A menacing group, for sure. Their leader seems like a very strong goliath, but that's all from what I've heard from the townsfolk. I am one of Zander's protectors, so we try to steer clear of such dangers."
Smoke, you see interest grow in some of their eyes, but not extensively. They seem mildly impressed, but not convinced. One of the tavern's patrons steps forward. "I don't think that will work, and I think I have company around me who are like-minded. What if we tested it...on you?" The message seems pretty clear: they want to hurt you, to see if the medicine saves you or not.
Aldin, you spot a front and back door, as well as two windows a few feet away from each door. There are four windows on each of the antique shop's sides that are doorless. The building appears two-storied, and there are the same type of windows copied onto the story above the first. From glancing in the front window by being on your tip-toes, you would be able to see that the half-orc is leaning against the wall near the front door, but the back door appears seemingly unguarded.

Shocked at the response of the crowd thoughts dash through Smokes head. Smoke is sure the medicine is of quality.
His eyes widen and as he puts his hands together quietly saying Such a deed would be worthy of a tale, i would be the talk of the town!
He looks around to see some of his party and boldly say Alright, ill do it. And be known as the one that would risk death to prove the truth of his words.
His tail starts to move rapidly again as he gets excited. The thought of being the main part of a tale that would be told here for years to come becomes all Smoke thinks about ignoring the risks. Quickly taken over by this obsession to become a grand tale of his own, one he is confident he could be telling many times.
He grabs the closest drink on the table, unsure if it belongs to Ester or someone else and gulps it down. And places the mixture on the table so everyone sees it and its in reach to use it. Then he faces the crowd once more with his arms on his side as he puffs his chest to meet the challenge.
Smoke, the crowd seems to get even bigger as word spreads about the event that will ensue. A burly human comes forward. You can see the pure muscle on his arms, exposed by his thin black sleeveless shirt. He has scars all across his face and body, and his light blue eyes look tired. And yet he willingly charges Smoke, barreling Smoke into the wall with hard force, then returning to slap Smoke in the face. Pain blurs your vision, and he goes in for a punch in your torso. He slams Smoke down against the ground with a hard definitive thud. Ester grabs the Stabilization Mixture, taking the cap off and staring down at Smoke. Almost as if he's debating whether or not to let Smoke pass out. Ester crouches down, staring down at Smoke. A smirk spreads across his face, before tipping the bottle over into Smoke's lips. Ester assesses Smoke, to see how well the medicine works.

Jorel will look up from his conversation to see Smoke getting pummeled and then potioned, "Huh, I wonder why he's doing that? Well, I'm sure it'll be fine, but I should go check on him and make sure it doesn't get out of hand. I will be right back my friend." He'll move over, ignoring the brute and Ester both to check on Smoke and then standing up to stand over him and make sure no one gets any ideas.

"Let's check the back door, my gut says the upper windows are better entry but if these fools left the back unguarded..." He trails off his statement, his meaning clear. Working with Black Cat was nice, not a lot had to be clarified when it came to this kind of work. They seemed to catch on quickly together.
He moves along the side of the building and observes the back.
Jorel, as far as you can tell, whatever medicine Smoke has taken has rejuvenated him to some extent, so that he is not unconscious or dead. The crowd seems a bit surprised at your sudden appearance to the situation, but none really question it. Except for Ester. "Are you with the tabaxi fellow?"
Aldin, you are able to quickly and stealthily make it to the backside, and observe the old wooden door seems locked, but not entirely secure. An easy lockpick could do the trick, or the handle could be rather easily broken off with a bit of effort. This building does not seem to have been remodeled in decades, which perhaps fits in with the antique store feel, but also provides the perfect unsuspecting cover for whatever the silver-cloaked figures and half-orcs are doing there.

Hearing the large thud from out side as something hit the wall, hard. Nirug muttered, "shit" and turned to enter the door. He stands at the back of the crowd and can see someone down and his team crouched around. "What the bloody hell is happening" he shouts.
The crowd screams and jumps back in alarm at Nirug's hulking form. Even Ester seems a bit frightened. They all cower before Nirug, awaiting him to kill someone, or smash something. Then Ester works up the courage, once in possession of a coin satchel or two and in safe distance of another bodyguard, he asks, "What do you want, rebel?"
Black Cat, stepping on a few noisy twigs, you also make your way to where Aldin is, and, since the door's lock is so outdated and insecure, pick the lock. The door slightly sways open as the lock clicks out of place, allowing entrance to the building. You can immediately hear the sounds of voices, but no one seems to notice the door being slightly ajar. There are many figures in this room--around five, you estimate. If you stay by the door and listen, make additional Stealth and Perception checks. What would you like to do?
