Standing there watching the group with one hand on his chin pondering what their next move should be. Thinking why not turn this incident into opportunity. A smirk is formed on his face as his tail starts moving rapidly with excitement.
Alright everyone, you know the drill. Fan out into two groups close enough to keep an eye on each other. Aldin, take point to the left and ill go right. If you spot any hint of the treasure signal the rest and stay out of sight.
Making it sound like this is something they have done many times before. Smoke points to the left side of street when calling out to Aldin and moves to the right side with a smile on his face ready for a new adventure. Smoke will move to the first building on the right then wait for the group to make their way across.
Smoke will stay on point and try to spot anyone in their path while he allows the others following to inspect the buildings and look inside. He will also make sure he keeps vision on at least one of the other group.
And here she thought she was hot headed! If aunt could see her now, she would agree, Jaelyn is as calm as a summer breeze in an midday forest.
"Wait, boss, we might do some more about the bodies. Do any of us has a drop of wine? It's enough if they smell, at least if things get hot we can claim they are drunk and do not know what they are taking about. I mean guards."
"And what do you mean by "checking houses"? Walking in, in a broad daylight? If they are locked or there are inhabitants inside - it's break-in, they will be right to call guards. I doubt "the treasure" - what is it, exactly, by the way? - is just lying on the street or on the floor of some house. We need to ask around."
This kind of thing is why Ash prefers cities to these small towns - no hybrid vigour, no diversity - they just lash out at the slightest difference and stagnate. A monocultured field where the soil is going sour.
On the other hand, knocking out the guards is not the best way to make friends and influence people.
“I’ve no wine - did anyone put some in with their rations? Or give me some herbs and I could maybe make it look like they’ve been chewing something they shouldn’t have - there’s probably some monkshood and whitethorn nearby. Let me just check they’ll be ok...”
Ash makes a quick check of the guards to make sure they’ll come round eventually and won’t choke themselves (medicine: 8) before taking her standard position behind Aldin (stealth 12, perception 19) to see if she can spot any likely targets where their quarry might be hidden.
Smoke, you expertly manuever yourself stealthily toward the nearest building--a relatively run-down barn-type building--and no one seems to be watching that isn't a member of the group.
Ash, you move slightly less gracefully compared to Smoke, but still manage to go unnoticed to any nearby onlookers, if there were to be any. As you draw nearer to the barn, you can spot two figures dodging in and out from the open barn doors and into a fenced-in enclosure.

Black Cat will try to find a spot in the shadows where he can watch over the group and see if anyone shows up and starts to take an interest in what is going on.
Ash will druidcraft a puff of air next to Smoke, then Black Cat and then Nirug and Weylin to direct their attention toward the figures in the enclosure - a signal she’s used before, and one less noticeable than a trill of birdsong or cloud shaped like an arrow.

Jorel will look around for a house that shows signs of occupancy, and then go knock on the door, "Hello, I'm sorry to intrude, but we're strangers here and I was hoping to ask if there was an inn in town somewhere?"
Nirug whipped his head around at Weylin, his eyes almost feral. Then after a moment he paused, blinked and said, "I'll be fine." He then turned to follow after the others as quietly as he could.
Aldin had moved left as Smoke had suggested, he kept his hands free so as to not seem threatening. He was still a bit annoyed that their welcome to this town was filled with prejudice. He felt slighlty bad that he and Nirug had knocked out those guards but, they had it coming didn't they?
He walked as nonchalant and out of eye shot as he could, feeling that a full on slink would be a little too much. He knew to look for an orb, where would someone keep an orb? This is an elven community which, to the dark skinned man, made him think of wizards. Perhaps a more serious looking building would be there target.
Smoke notices the puff of air from Ash and stops in his tracks to look around to find where she is and see what direction she is gesturing and give her a nod from a distance.
He will then look behind him to see if the rest of the group on his side also get the signal and react to it.
Looking around where everyone is he sees Jorel just move up to a house to speak with the people there. He will then try to handsignal Ash and anyone else watching that this is happening and wait to see how it unfolds between the house Jorel is at and the figures at the barn.
He stays put and ducks down ready to move into action if needed but untill then waiting patiently.
Jorel, the house that you find directs you to a tall wooden building down the main street of the town, past a row of stores and shops.
As some of you watch and slowly approach, rather stealthily for you all, the figures appear to be dwarves, packing up for the night as the fog begins to drift into the valley and the sun begins to make its final arc down below the mountain. It occurs to you that if you don't act quickly on the barn, they will be inside and nearly impossible to sneak past.

Jorel will thank the occupants kindly, and start moving off down the street, whistling softly. As he moves past the shops, he'll casually glance to see what kind of wares they have, but won't stop. When he gets to the taller building, he'll knock, and if its unlocked, open the door and call out, "Hello? Do you have rooms and food for seven?"
As Jorel walks, he spots supply shops for weaponry and clothes, as well as a few stands selling produce in front of stores that are just now packing up for the day, despite the fact that it seems no one has been down the street in a while.
As Jorel peers into the open door, the light turns on and a slim Elven figure walks to the door. Looking young, the black-haired, well-dressed elf says, "Uh, yes we do. I'm sorry we're so unprepared...we don't get guests too often anymore." The elf smiles. "You can come in if you'd like?"

Black Cat would have helped Jorel with the guards, in Jorel's voice, "Not much help offer but will."
As he helps Jorel with the guards Black Cat will slip the extra dagger into Jorel's belt.
