"You are pointing your arrow at the women and children and act as if they are presenting some danger to you. Do hope you do not plan to truly attack families here." Erelim did not smile anymore. "We all saw something in the woods, that could be dangerous, and were just warned not to wonder there. Here you have fire, food and a merry company. Might pay to be less suspicious."

Stanimir says "come gather by the fire, it looks like the new comer wanted to stay in the wagon. We have stories to tell. "
Marius finding nothing jumping out as dangerous, beyond the readied bow, takes a seat by the fire though staying a bit towards the edge where he could make a quick escape if needed.
Erelim gladly came (keeping eye on Vauban) and sat by Marius explaining, that he personally has no idea where this "Barovia" is but was sort of pulled (or pushed?) here as well, though he knew his destination (if only by name) and circumstances of his invitation were quite mystical from the start, so, neither fog nor unknown road on the place of the way he saw before, did not surprise him that much.
Vauban nocks an arrow now, but doesn't point it at anyone.
(I believe I made this point pretty clear.) Vauban will call from his current position to the man leading the wagon. "Are you the lot that have been camping outside the gates of Daggerford?"

Marius raises an eyebrow and says, "you were camped outside, do you happen to know of the rumors of werewolves in the area?" Marius at this point casually adjusts his sword while conveniently arranging it to be easier to draw the blade if needed.
Vauban looks at both Erelim and Marius, a little perplexed by the various differences between them. Recognizing that a fight is absolutely out of the question, he decides to use diplomacy.
"The Duchess has been getting reports that you lot are harassing and threatening the good people of Daggerford. I'm willing to hear your side, but in any case The Duchess bids that you leave before dawn, lest she burn your wagons to the ground."

He says "No, I am afraid not. We did have some lovely soldiers come by for a drink a day or two ago. They where so nice"

Stanimir laughs. “Don’t worry. We have no wish to make enemies of Lady Morwen. I have a story to tell all of you. First you listen, then we will leave first thing in the morning. We are heading towards The Village of Barovia if you would like to join us?”
"So long as you're gone before dawn, I'll listen to your tale." Vauban loosens the grip on his bow, but remains cautious and eyeing each of the wagon members, then the surrounding area.

Marius does his best to recall if he has ever heard of the lands of Barovia while also checking to see if perhaps there are any indicators of where they are based on the stars.

You have heard tales from folk like Stanimir that have traveled the lands far and wide. It is known to be in the plane of the Demi-Dread.
"That is what the sign said, at least," repeated Erelim. "I came by that road behind us, and not long ago saw a road-post " Welcome to Barovia". I assume, we are indeed here and that Lady Morwen, who you call "Duchess" if I understood it right, has nothing to worry about - our new friends left Daggerford already."
"Strange - being said out loud all of this sounds like a fairy-tale and yet so real. I am half expecting to wake up in the Tavern I left several hours ago."
Marius' body language shows worry as he covers his mouth with a hand, briefly rubbing his face, before pulling out a pipe and preparing it for a smoke. Taking the time to light it well he takes a deep drag before blowing out smoke up in the air and watching it dissipate before turning to the bow wielder and saying, "it seems like you won't be reporting to your Duchess any time soon as we are no longer on the same plane of existence...my Uncle told me stories of places like this heard in his travels...if the legends hold true then we are now somewhere in the Shadowfell and a particularly hard place to leave, though I could be wrong and merely believing too much in fairy tales."
Andros has remained standing this entire time just taking in all the information being going back and forth. He is uneasy. The constant mentioning of Barovia sends a chill down his spine. He continues listening and being the silent one of the group.

"Malicious wizardry. That's likely the case; I don't think you're wrong there. At least the Duchess won't have to worry about these people anymore." Vauban turns to the man in the wagon. "So, your story. You gonna tell it to us now?"
Hearing the voices, the figure in the back of the wagon shakes himself out of the doze he’d been in, rising to his feet and hopping out of the wagon. His half elf heritage is clear in his slightly pointed ears and beardless face, his dark hair is cut short, likely self done, and he’s wearing dark travel stained leathers. As he looks around at the assembled group, his shadow seems to travel out towards each of you before darting back to his feet, “Hello, name’s Zanfaelor Shadowtouched. From the sounds of it, I’m not the only one curious to be here instead of Daggerfall. Anyone know how to get back? There are beasts there that need put down.”

Starting to feel concerned as pieces are falling together Marius can't help but interrupt Stanimir asking, "are we currently in Barovia?"
"That is what the sign said, at least," repeated Erelim. "I came by that road behind us, and not long ago saw a road-post " Welcome to Barovia". "It looks like we are about to find out," Erelim nodded at the Stanimir and his family, preparing to tell The Tale.
