This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Think that brings it back to me?) Vazak approaches the final Stirge as it attempts to latch onto Marius. "Enough of this!" His booming gravely voice bellows across the room. Another crackle of electricity accompanies the swing of his greatsword.
Marius brings his shield up, blocking the creature's attack, and then grunts as he swings his staff again.
Attack with quarterstaff: 26, damage: 12 magical bludgeoning damage
The nature cleric looks down at the littering of dead stirges. "Sorry, little ones, but you bit off a little more than you could chew with us." He then looks around the room to make sure there aren't anymore dangers lurking about.
d20: 20 (perception +2); additional roll if at disadvantage: 10
And with a crack, the quartstaff caves in the front of the Stirges face. Marius looks about the room, and it is now free of danger currently.
Also with that roll, you hear faint murmurs of raspy, high-pitched voices. You hear its tempo, but nothing of what the voices are saying. Its clearly a lazy conversation going on.
The sound is coming from a door on the right, when coming down the stairs.

Stirge 3 flees from Marius as his quarterstaff whizzes by
Vazak: Extends the hand of death to another stirge just as Leon throws his to the floor
Leon: removes the blood sucker successfully
Baxthon: attempts to slay the stirge, but falters.
Marius:
"The critters are crafty," the senior adventurer comments, swinging his staff again.
Attack with quarterstaff: 24, damage: 5 magical bludgeoning damage
Vazak: Extends the hand of death to another stirge just as Leon throws his to the floor
Leon: removes the blood sucker successfully
Baxthon: attempts to slay the stirge, but falters.
Marius: uses his staff to flyswatter a stirge. It falls to the ground,with a shriek, unmoving
Stirge 2 lunges at Marius, Attack: 14 Damage: 7
