Syndra still with the group speaks up, "If you are seeking a tavern might I suggest the Thundering Lizard if you want a good time or Kaya's House of Repose, if you seek something more quiet, both can be found by the Red Bazaar, otherwise if you need me again I'll be staying at the home of the merchant prince Wakanga O'tamu. But before I go some advice, consider a guide they could be useful trekking a safe route the the jungle, get insect repellent and use it, finally take care of that map, I would not be surprised I'd there were those who would kill for such a thing.... good luck, friends." With that she and her attendant begin to head off.
Nahuatl breathes deeply, taking in the familiar sights and sounds. “It has been many years since I last saw the sea.” She murmurs to herself. “I am off for the docks.” She says to the others. “I’ll return here in three hours.”
If there are no objections, she will proceed to the docks.
Leann tucks the map given to them into her pack, making sure it is out of sight, but letting the others in the group know where she put it in case they need it for something. She is a little undecided about the pouch of coin she was given, but figures it will be useful for supplies. she is already boiling in her skin, the heavy armor she wears a bit much for this climate. With a sigh she pauses to remove the chain mail, putting it into her pack instead. "Better get use to wearing less..." She tells the group. "This place is not kind to those not outfitted properly for it." She then puts her pack back on, now wearing a tunic, belted at the waist, which was under the chain mail. She has her sword at her hip as usual, and her shield attached to her pack. "I'd suggest getting a room first, then seeing what we can find out about the city, and definitely finding a guide. It has been far too long since i have been here, and I wouldn't know what dangers have changed in the jungle."
"ok, I'm headed to the two inns to see if one will be willing to barter for a nightly performance. Anyone who wants to come with me is welcome. Afterwards, I'm going to picks the brains of the tavern patrons. See everyone back here in 3 hours"
"Guess we're splitting up then, huh?" Ivas says, sounding a bit disappointed. He's not eager to be parted from his fellows so soon, but perhaps such is the way of adventurers. "Well, I think I'm going to go check out the market! There's gotta be some cool stuff for sale around here. Anyone want to come along?!" he asks hopefully.
Regardless of whether anyone chooses to accompany him, he will depart to browse the city's wares.
Leann moves to the Thundering Lizard to see about a room there, then she would head out to buy some more appropriate clothing and gear for the region. While out she would ask about guides that could be hired.
Aedan decides to accompany Leann, heading over to the Thunder Lizard. Aedan clothes seemed a bit warm for the climate here, and he began to sweat almost immediately, but he could never afford heavy armor like some of the others had.

As the party watches Syndra go, they set off on their own path's agreeing to meet back at the place the first arrived in a few hours from now.
Aedan, Leann and Plaugg:
You head off towards the Red Bazaar in the hopes of finding the Thundering Lizard as suggested by Syndra.
The Bazaar is filled with men and women of local colour, with dark skin and hair, wearing bright clothing. Throughout is the smells of fresh meats, fruits and vegetables. This seems to be a market for locals. With many selling goods for those who live in the city, the aforementioned meats, all of varying sizes from that off a chicken to huge over-sized steaks that look as if they could feed a family. Many of the fruits seem rare and unusual but all for good prices. Among these are other various goods, strange smelling candles and oils from some booths. The light, airy clothing of Chult in another. And in one, you spot a strange looking tent like structure, open at all sides, it has is a large tarp spread over four long poles, too small to fit under it has a decently large dip in the center that would fill with water in rain.
Making your way through these booths and buildings you come across a two story structure with a sign out front depicting a lizard-like figure standing on two massive legs, a big meaty tail and giant head filled with jagged teeth make its comically small arms even more ridiculous looking. The beast appears to be roaring at the sky as lightning crackles around it. A small title underneath written in common says "Thundering Lizard"

Nahuatl
Nahuatl sets off along the side of the docks, watching men and woman of all kinds of races do their work, strange cat-like humanoids called Tabaxi wonder along playing short musical pieces for those with coin. Humans, elves and Dwarfs bring their ships into dock, their crews beginning the unloading of everything from people, to huge mountains of cargo to tiny packages that must be worth a fortune for a whole ship to come down. Local dock hands aid in this task using giant reptilian pack-beasts, some have three horns others none. You seem to recall the name dinosaur come to mind. Looking out across the bay you can see the lighthouse connected to the bay on the west side by a rocky boardwalk like bridge.
In the center of the bay a huge statue of a heroic man wearing a loin-cloth of leopard skin, with a head-dress made of feathers, shells and vicious teeth. Draped in a cape of exotic fur and monkey tails, they stand proud with a large circular shield and strange weapon that seems to be part spear and part knife.

(Is there anything in particular you wanted to do?)
Ivas
You set off alone to explore the many stores and and stalls of Port Nyanzaru, before long you come to a what feels to be a more high class area, you can see guards openly patrolling the area and many of the stalls seems to be selling rare and precious gems. Many of those here seems to also be foreigners of Chult but high-class ones at that. Nobles or merchants browse these wears and you shouting excessive sums of gold to each other. "100!" "200!" "1500? I'll take it!"

(Hexblade, What's Dorno up to in this?)
(Let me know if I made a mistake somewhere, but I think those are the right places)
Leann walks into the tavern and moves up to the counter. "I need a room." She says to the inn keep, bar tender, or whomever seems to be in charge. "Probably for a couple nights." Seh adds on. "Can you also tell me where I can find a good guide for the jungle? I am looking for quality, so please let me know who I should look for and who I should avoid."
On the way to the inn, Plaugg makes a pit stop at the bazaar to buy some insect repellent and check out the open sided tent.
Once he gets to Thundering Lizard, he seeks out the owner to see if he can score a room and some intel on the city in exchange for a nightly flute performance.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
If successful, he'll sit at the bar and start making conversation with the locals trying to see if anyone knows anything about the soul monger (what is it, who has it, where is it).
If unsuccessful, he'll move onto Kaya's House and make the same offer (Persuasion: 8) and talk to those patrons instead.
Ooc: Plaugg’s background is entertainer is persuasion necessary since the background mentions that he can always find a place to stay for a performance. Just curious my first time playing a bard.
(Too much at once! Let one thing play out before declaring the next 10 steps, especially if rolls are involved, so much can happen to change plans in an instant, at least that's how I see it)
Plaugg stops part way to browse the wears of the bazaar to find the Insect repellent, this brings him the stall selling candles and oils. The owner a middle aged man with a thick graying beard comes over. He speaks with a thick, slow accent suggesting he doesn't use common often. "Are you seeking some insect repellent adventurer? It comes in two varieties, an incense block or a vial of a special salve."
Lean
You walk into the tavern it is already quite full with people laughing, singing and playing various games even though its only mid-morning. You wade your way through the crowds to the bar and address the barkeep. "A room eh? I can give you one of those, it'll be 5sp per person a night. However, you'd best be able to sleep with the noise, it goes til late."
"On the matter of a guide ... I'm sorry ma'am I'm not too familiar with any of 'em, however I can offer some suggestions. You can find an advertising board on the wall of the harbormaster's office, otherwise try seeking an audience with the merchant prince Jobal." He pauses for a moment, "Actually, I believe those two over there work as guides." He says gesturing to two cat-men playing a game of cards in the corner, with a group of other men.
"Well I sell this insect repellent it's what I know, and I know one won't be enough if your planning a long expedition into the jungle, gives you 20 applications per person that'll last a day. Once its gone you'll be in the deep end, catch shivering sickness. Otherwise the incense will be for out to 20-feet for 8 hours. incense costs you a silver, the vial a gold. Your choice"
"It's tough to say how long we'll be in the jungle or when we are headed that way. We first need to get some idea of what our next steps are, but I'll take 3 vials then to get started. We are on a mission to stop the source of the death curse that seems to be making many people sick and need to figure out how to stop it. Are you one of the lucky ones whose family has been able to avoid the curse?"
Having followed the stalls until they stopped getting fancier and more expensive-looking, Ivas finds that he's gone considerably farther up the price scale than he was prepared for. One hundred, two hundred..... fifteen hundred?! His fifty gold pieces feels like a piddling sum compared to such offers! What's more, this market seems to sell primarily precious gemstones..... not that he would mind having one of those, but he'd prefer to find it delving deep into a dungeon, so as to be the one selling it to others for these enormous sums! Clearly, he needs to get his bearings and find a row of merchants more suited to his needs. He picks out one of the merchants nearby and approaches him, hoping the locals are a friendly sort.
"Err, 'scuse me, but I'm new in town here and looking to buy weapons, armor, or just plain old adventuring stuff! Any idea where that type of thing is sold around here?"
The merchant, a young fat man with a northern origin is the one Ivas chanced upon, Pale skin and light brown hair. He seems clearly unsuited for this climate as he is drenched in sweat. "Oh, an adventurer are we? Look no further for I have just what you need!" He hurries off a moment to search a nearby crate with stock just out of sight. When he returns he holds a number weapons and such, arrows, crossbow bolts, a wooden shield, daggers and a strange foreign blade. "Any of this catch your eye, all of it is magical I assure you!"
Plaugg
The man grabs the 3 vials and holds them out, along with his other hand empty. "That'll be three gold pieces, sir. As for the death curse, good luck with that! Personally, I'm much too low down for that to effect me, never could afford a resurrection even if I needed it. Otherwise I wouldn't be selling another man's bug repellent."
