"I'll take a room for one." Leann says, handing over 5 silver. She then walks over to the cat-men. "Good day..." She says, giving them both a friendly smile and pushing her blond braid back over her shoulder. "I hear you are pretty knowledgeable on the jungle here abouts... Is there any new or interesting stories coming out of the jungle these days?" She takes a seat with them as she asks.
Nahuatl inhales the salt-laden air, smiling in deep satisfaction. She will wander up and down the docks with no particular purpose. If she encounters a shop she will enter and browse its contents.
The man grabs the 3 vials and holds them out, along with his other hand empty. "That'll be three gold pieces, sir. As for the death curse, good luck with that! Personally, I'm much too low down for that to effect me, never could afford a resurrection even if I needed it. Otherwise I wouldn't be selling another man's bug repellent."
Plaugg hands him 3 gp. "Ha ha. So true my friend! Some problems don't affect us commoners and are only problems for the wealthy. I'm curious which of the merchants are usually in the know about the latest news here. Could I ask a favor for you to point me in their direction?"
ooc: If persuasion is necessary, I'll keep the prior roll (12).
"Oh wow, thanks mister, lemme see! Man, this is a lot of stuff.... it's all magical?"
Ivas takes a moment to browse the items laid out before him. While they're all no doubt useful weapons, he doesn't have a bow to use the arrows, and he already has a longsword and shield.... the only thing that really stands out compared to what he already carries is the foreign-looking blade. Plus, it's the weapon that looks the coolest out of all these!
"What's this one do?" Ivas asks, indicating the strange sword.
As you walk over to the to you find that there is one male and a female. The female wears an eye patch on their right eye. "So, looking to head to the jungle are we? How about I give you this:" She hands you a small calling card or advert type sheet
"So, interested?"
Nahuatl
As you wander down the docks of the city a man coming the other direction catches your eye. You lock for a moment and then he calls out as he approaches. "Hello there! Do you think you could aid me?"
Plaugg
"If you think you can speak to someone upper, the merchant princes run the place, I know of one them deals in lore or something but I can't remember which. It just isn't Kwayothé"
Ivas
"Ah interested in the yklwa? That's Chult's historic weapon you know. This one in particular will help you strike true and hurt more when you do. And right now, get it for the low, low price of 500gold!" (+1 yklwa, 1d8 piercing simple melee weapon)
"Thanks so much for the tip! Let me know if there is ever anything I can do for you." Plaugg makes his way over to the Thundering Lizard to talk to the owner about a room for performance trade.
"A yuck kluh wha? Geez, sorry mister, it looks really nice but five hundred is just way out of my price range!"
Ivas feels the bag of coins at his hip, letting out a sigh of disappointment. He'd felt so wealthy just a little while ago, yet now once again felt woefully impoverished. Ah well... maybe when their task was done, five hundred gold would feel like a pittance for him!
"Thanks for showing me your stuff, though!" he says, taking his leave. With the wares here seeming so far above his means, he decides to simply return to the meeting point and see how his companions have fared.
Aedan enters the tavern and tries to order a drink from the bartender, not knowing what kind of things they served. "Any news or gossip around here lately?" he asks whomever is serving him.

Roland Drask:Human Rogue - Lost Mine of Phandelver
You head off in the direction of the tavern but before you get there are interrupted by two men, a darker skinned human with short black hair and decent stubble on his face and his companion an older halfling with a curly mop of white hair atop his head. The speaks to you directly "Hey! I think I've seen you before..." his companion looks and his face lights up "Yeah! You're one of them dinosaur racers aren't you?"
Ivas
The merchant seems visibly disappointed, but thanks you graciously for browsing his wares. As you head back to the meeting point a woman runs up to you, she seems desperate for aid. Wearing what looks to be fairly simple but elegant robes this local woman speaks in clear common. "Please sir! Are you an adventurer headed to the jungle?"
Aedan
The bartender hands you a drink of some kind of amber-coloured sweet smelling alcohol. "Tej he says, its the local stuff, 4 copper for the drink."
"Well, there's always plenty of gossip running around the town." He looks you down a moment. "Well I hear that Mezro has some pretty great treasures still hidin' some in those ruins, if your into that kinda stuff."
"I'll have to get back to you on that..." Leann said with a glance at the paper. "I was more interested in hearing of any new or different things in the jungle..." She puts the paper in her pouch, planning on letting the others take a look when they regroup.

"Ha ha. Yes, you recognized me, you have very keen eyes! But please don't alert anyone else, I'm trying to get some errands done today so I'm keeping a low profile. What brings you two out to the bazaar today?"
Dorno giggles as the weightlessness of the teleportation takes hold. When he sees Port Nyanzaru for the first time he looks up in amazement. A wide grin forms on his face and his ears start to wiggle.
As the others head off in different directions Dorno is still looking around at the various sights taking it all in. Eventually he gathers himself and sets about his mission. He starts wandering around the Port politely asking random people if they’ve seen a soulmonger and looking around corners, under wagons and merchant stands and wherever else he thinks to look as part of his ‘seeking’ effort.
Apologies all, we got stuck on a train for 11 hours and now I’m at PAX Unplugged.
If Dorno happens across a fruit stand with a good variety as he wanders, please let me know! ;)
The female looks a little disappointed before it clears and they speak, "New how? Like those Order of the Gauntlet guys?"
Plaugg
The human gets a glint in his eye as he speaks, "Perfect! Have we got a plan for you! A master racer like you should have no trouble winning on any beast, so, you take our dinosaur tomorrow and win with it. No one will expect it to win, and the odds'l skyrocket, we place a huge bet on you make a huge winners fortune and we split the money three-ways, whattdya say, friend?" He says as he rests his arm on your shoulder.
Ivas
"Wonderful!" She exclaims, "Then I must implore you to allow me to join you in your journey, I have seen visions of evil men and women hiding out somewhere within the Aldani Basin. We must find them!"
Dorno
As Dorno wonders the city streets he gets some funny looks from those around him as he checks under wagons or around crates. Eventually he finds himself at the city gate, more buildings and people seem to spill out from there and he considers whether to wander out into that part of the city.
"Evil men and women?! What, like death cult people or something? Maybe they have this Soul-monger thing we need! Wait, how did you see them? Crap, I've got too many questions!" Ivas says excitedly. "Probably should do names first, huh. I'm Ivas! Who are you?"
(shit. Plaugg thinks to himself, what have I gotten myself into this time).
"Yeah, maybe. I'll have to think about it. What kind of dinosaur are you running these days? What kind of odds will we get, I'll only consider it if the odds are good enough. And of course I'd need to run it in disguise."
(OOC Does Dorno see or smell food outside the gates? I’ll have him go out or go back inside to wander further depending on which he perceives is more likely to yield food, specifically of a vegetarian variety.)
She gets quickly overwhelmed by the barrage of questions until Ivas asks for her name, "Oh! My name is Inete and I am a servant of Savras." She says expecting that to explain something. "In my visions I saw red-robbed wizards, I'm not sure of their goals, but I know they aren't here to make friends."
Plaugg
"A disguise, even better! The odds well they'll be pretty low..." His halfling companion chimes in "Which is a good thing! If I were to guess, they'll give you a 1/5, maybe even 1/7 - with a disguise - chance of winning, or rather they'll pay out 5 to 7 times the gold we put down!"
Dorno
The smells of food and fruit of all sorts seems to permeate over the whole city, however, you feel the strongest smells seem to be coming from within the city further east (to 18)
Aedan
The barkeep thinks a moment, "Well, if I remember correctly they're the ruins of some ancient city, should find them near the mouth of the river Tath maybe? By Kitcher's Inlet I think." He stops a moment, "Anything else I can help you with?"
Dorno is tempted to continue his game of hiding and seeking with the soulmonger by going beyond the city gate but then he feels a roll of thunder from his large stomach and his priorities change. Following his nose he meanders towards the Red Bazaar, still occasionally peeking under a wagon or a tarp for the soulmonger.
