With the help of Ayer's rope, you all manage to make your way up the face of the cliff. On this first step of the Staircase Cliffs, the wind roars over your body, billowing your cloaks and sweeping your hair in chaotic patterns. Those of you standing downwind of the yurt smell a delightful meal coming from the cozy home and hear a deep baritone voice half-singing and half-shouting the words to some forgotten drinking song.
As you get closer, the door flies open and you see the blue-scaled dragonborn give an ear-to-ear smile, showing off his fine set of bestial teeth. He stands around 7 feet tall with a greataxe strapped across his back and a muscular frame wrapped in animal skins.“Well, come on in then. That climb must've been draining and the wind is cold. The rabbit stew is all heated up and I'd be happy to share some with you if you share some stories with me." He bends down a bit to get through the doorway and welcomes you inside.
You see the inside of the yurt is filled with a warm orange glow, radiating from the fire in the centre of the yurt that is heating up a pot of rabbit stew. Surrounding the fire are a few seats positioned in the shape of a circle. The walls are covered in animal skins and the floor is littered with books in different languages as well as some pots and pans. A shelving unit holds plenty of plants that are somehow alive and thriving. Tucked in away in a corner is what you would assume to be his bed.
Maelaryn makes his way into the yurt, "This is delightful, reminds me of the tents we stayed in while I was on the road with the circus" he took a big whiff of the stew, "...and that smells amazing" he said rubbing his stomach.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
On closer inspection, the plants seem to be a variety of cooking herbs. As Sercender asks about them, he puffs up his chest in pride. "Just a little bit of magic called love and care... And also real magic." He gives her a cheeky wink. "Up here in the Staircase Cliffs, not many plants can survive so I had a friend enchant these ones to be able to. I enjoy cooking quite a bit and going up and down these cliffs every time I run out of herbs would be very tiring, to say the least."
As Maelaryn compliments his cooking, the dragonborn smiles wide. "Well, thank you very much! I pride myself in my cooking. Here, everyone, take a seat and I'll get you a bowl each." He rummages around for a few bowls before taking a seat at the fire and filling them up. As he hands each if you a bowl, he introduces himself. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you all! My name is Alcaeus Scaevola. Former adventurer and now aspiring cook." As he gives Sercdender a bowl, his eyes widen. "Ah! My apologies. I hadn't realised you were injured. If you would allow me..." He extends his hand and places it on Sercender's shoulder. A warm white light radiates and her wound is healed.

"Hopefully that will make you feel a little better. So then! Why don't you all introduce yourselves and tell me what you're doing here, of all places? I don't get many visitors so its nice to have some company."
Ayer will take the bowl and inhale the aroma of the soup before taking a light sip of broth. "We are the last students of The Master. We are here seeking to fulfill the tenants of her last will and testament."
Maelaryn took the bowl of soup and began to spoon it into his mouth as Alcaeus healed Sercender, "I am Maelaryn Dompur, former circus performer, current Wizard of zero renown" Maelaryn grinned a bit as he introduced himself with the joke. "...and fortunate student of the Masters"
Wulfgar accepts a bowl and gives a slight bow in thanks. "Names Wulfgar and I am a former student as well. Former being because she recently passed on and per her will we are together some items for her ones she had listed being with you if I'm. Ot mistaken."
As you introduce yourselves and mention Elaria's passing, Alcaeus' smile drops into dismay and he barely manages to stop his bowl from falling to the ground. "E-Elaria..." He stays silent for a few moments, taking in deep breaths to calm himself though small tears can be seen running down his scaled cheek. "I'm sorry... I just... I knew this day was coming but I didn't think it would be so soon. She had just visited me but a tenday ago..."
He takes another deep breath closing his eyes only for his expression to harden when he opens them. "You say you need the tiles. I cannot give them to you so easily. I was entrusted by Elaria to protect them with my life and I hope you understand that I can't just give them away. Prove to me. Prove to me that you are truly Elaria's students." He thinks to himself for a moment before nodding. "Mm, yes. I had ask for you all to tell me a story over a bowl of rabbit stew. How about you take me up on that request and tell me something about Elaria. Then we shall see if you truly are her students." He watches you all with keen eyes.
Ayer will start, they take the clasps on their overcoat and begin to undo them while saying "I can go first. Elaria entrusted me with a task as well. In hopes that her teachings would pass on, we began using tattoos to brand her most important lessons onto my skin... I know not if I am the only one, but behold the wisdom of Elaria." Ayer doffs their overcoat so their upper body is only covered by a chest wrap. Displayed across every inch of their skin is elvish script. Meticulously arranged to be legible.
Alcaeus reads over Ayer's tattoos with an observant eye, making sure not to miss a single detail, and nods. "I recognise some of these, actually. Despite not being her student, she always looked for the chance to give me a lesson." He chuckles to himself before turning to the others.
Wulfgar thinks hard for a moment, he usually was the first to talk and the last to for that matter but now he was drawing a blank. He let out a small snort and a little chuckle. "Sorry, sorry. I usually know the right things to say but just like when I was with Elaria, words just seemed to escape me." He took a small sip of water and continued, "I remember back at the tavern. I had gotten myself into a spot of trouble, too much to drink you see and to many words. Anyways, they got the best of me and honestly, I'd probably be worse off now if not dead but Elaria had wondered by. With a look she had scared them off and taken me back in. I thought it was my incredible luck but it wasn't. I don't know how she did it but she always seemed to be right where she was needed." He took another drink and just whispered, "Wizards..."
"Hey now.." Maelaryn said as Wulfgar finished up his story with the comment about Wizards, "Not all of us are an enigmatic set of diviners bent on showing up right when you need us" he grinned from across the pot of food. "Elaria was enigmatic though, a fount, nay, a wellspring of riddles. She would use them to stump me regularly. You know in fact, she told me one once that I never could figure out, how did it go..." Maelaryn put his fingers to his chin as he thought over the words she had said to him.
"Ah yes, I am Of no use to one, Yet absolute bliss to two. The small boy gets it for nothing. The young man has to lie for it. The old man has to buy it." Maelaryn looked up to the dragonborn, "Did she ever tell it to you? Might you know the answer?"
OOC: Shamelessly stole the riddle, sorry if you've heard it.
Alcaeus chuckles to himself. "Ah, yes. I agree. She did always have a knack for showing up right at the perfect time." He takes a sip of his stew and looks to the side. "Wizards indeed." Clearing his throat, he listens thoughtfully to Maelaryn's story before bursting out laughing. "HAHAHAHA! Yes! I know of that one. The actual answer is a kiss, though Elaria and I would often joke around and say it was something else." He gives Maelaryn a wink, grinning mischievously.
"A Kiss!!!" Maelaryn blurts out following Alcaeus' answer. "Of course, how could I not see that..." he sighs "...I feel like she had so much more to teach me"

"Worst case of snakes in local Hisstory" Maelaryn said jesting back with Alryn

Sercender looks at the dragonborn suspiciously, wondering what exactly he knows. The plants catch her eye and she nervously speaks up
"U-uh, how do you... keep your plants so healthy?" (Does she know what kind of plants they are? Medicinal, poisonous, cooking?)
Maelaryn makes his way into the yurt, "This is delightful, reminds me of the tents we stayed in while I was on the road with the circus" he took a big whiff of the stew, "...and that smells amazing" he said rubbing his stomach.
Ayer's levitation ceases and they land gracefully inside. "Your hospitality is most welcome kind sir, may I ask your name?"
"That smells wonderful, thank you." Alryn calls, shivering in the wind and rubbing his arms to keep warm.

OOC: Should we just invent some backstory there?

(Yep, just come up with any story you want as long as it relates to Elaria)
Wulfgar thinks hard for a moment, he usually was the first to talk and the last to for that matter but now he was drawing a blank. He let out a small snort and a little chuckle. "Sorry, sorry.
