Zook reached into one of his bags, pulled out a vial of strange liquid and hurled it at the creature (DEX ST 17). However, the gnoll leaped out of the way and the vile smashed against the ground and created a harmless gout of flame.
Eager to find an enemy he can readily fight, Valen leaps to the top of the rock amd comes crashing down, mace drawn on the gnoll's skull (5 dmg). "You have no place preying these roads. And my friend wants that bow..."

Seeing valen bash its head in, Infurin incants a words before an eldritch infernal rune appears in his left hand, Infurin angrily releases an eldritch blast right into the gnoll. "Insufferable idiot!" He growls as the gnoll is hit by the dark spell.
After being a little stunned by the sight of this beast, Corus charges. He draws his sword and shield as bolt of pure force flies past him and slams into the beast. "Thank Kohl he is on my team." Corus thinks to himself. He charges the beast and slashes at it with his longsword(10 dmg). "Die you foul monstrosity!"
The Gnoll falls under the party's onslaught, rendered headless before Valen & Corus. In the brief moment as its body savaged by magic it opens, it's mouth, "Alas! I've been felled by my own Hubris!" it says as the paladin falls onto it, but to everyone in the party just sounds like whimper, whimper, snarl.
Before the party gets the chance to feel victorious, they hear a series of barks from further down the path. As you look a pair of small dog-like animals and two more Gnolls appear from the woods. In almost in an instant, the small animals fall on Corus while one of the Gnolls looses an arrow at the paladin. Only for it to fall short and nearly hit one of the animals charging the triton.

Lia dashes forwards, snatching up the bow and putting it in her empty sheath. Then unsheathes her shovel and sword, yelling at Corus to swing to his right.
A bright light flashes across Corus' face. "Curse that demon spawn!" He thinks to himself. "Corus, swing to your right!" He hears Lia shout with vigor. He slightly hears sounds of a beast to his right, confirming Lia's directions. He swings hard to the right(9 damage) and the sword slashes right through the brains of the beast.
Zook tries to take advantage of the confusion to hurl a vial of greenish liquid at the other hyena. Unfortunately, while trying to not get any of his party in the potential collateral damage, only managed to splash the hyena with a small amount of the Alchemical Acid (1 damage).
Valen quickly assessed the hyenas as quickly dying off and focused on the potentially more deadly gnolls. He draws a javelin, thinking he can hit the far gnoll. A rock springs up from the ground and trips Valen, sending hit shot wild and barely missing Corus.

Corus' vision slowly comes back to him, he is just able to see an arrow get loosed towards Infurin. The arrow strikes true and hits Infurin. Corus can't leave the fragile little man to die alone. He takes a step back to charge the gnoll with the bow, but not before the hyena gets a bite on his ankle(1 damage) and the gnoll in front of him gets a spear right in between the chinks in his armor(5 damage). Once he recovers, Corus charges the gnoll that attacked Infurin and lunges at him with his sword.(4 damage) "You will not hurt anyone else, you foul beast!" Corus' sword glows a deep blue and becomes encased in frost, while still imbedded in the gnoll.(2 damage)
Again Zook reaches into his Alchemist's Satchel, pulling out a vial of liquid and hurling it at a Gnoll (DEX ST: 16). Again the Gnoll dodges the vial, which shatters against the ground, exploding in a harmless burst of fire.
"Zook is starting to think Zook is not cut out for combat..."
Valen gaves a wave and a beam of light flashes toward the nearest gnoll. The beast deftly drops and dodge the beam with no trouble.

The gnoll engaging Corus hisses in anger as the cold grasp of the Winter Prince seeped to its very core. At the same time, it dropped its bow and drew forth a hunting spear, frantically trying to jab it into the Paladin, failing to do any real damage due to the extreme proximity that Corus kept between them.
