Lia glances at Valen, not trusting his judgement of one of her people. "I have marked a bronze dragon as my quarry. Perhaps I can tell you of that misadventure later. How are you to help us?"

Infurin looks at the old man, cocking his head to the side, [Insight Check: 8], before walking towards the back of the group. Muttering in Infernal, Infurin tries to relax, but he just doesn't know, but there was an inkling.... People typically didn't pay him much regard. Perhaps it was nothing.
Corus nods at the warden but he is kind of uninterested at the moment. He mind keeps wondering to the previous battle. His allies almost died, some of them were dealt significant wounds. "I must get stronger" he thinks to himself, "I will pray harder and train harder, no one will die as long as I'm breathing." He stares into his holy symbol lost in thought.
Zook remained silent, seeming to have been missed by the old man's gaze.
Bo seems nice enough, but Zook is not sure the party should be volunteering so much information. He thought. Though that might just be Zook's competitive business mindset there...
The Gnome felt it might be advantageous for him to remain as out of the spotlight as possible for the time being. Whether Bo hadn't noticed him at all or simply ignored the Gnome as not interesting enough a sight to comment on didn't matter to him at the moment. Observation was the game he'd play for now.
Bo nods to the Blessed, “Well you can think of me as a veteran Warden, or maybe uh...” He pauses to laugh at maybe himself? “venerable elder, long and short of it is that I’m a very old man who knows a lot. As such, the best way I can help you is by telling you what you want to know about the Valley.”
He pauses and raises his eyebrows in surprise at Lia, “My, My a Bronze dragon? Sounds like quite an adventure. You’ll have to tell me about it.” Bo nodded and turned to the rest of the party, “So do you have any questions for me?”

Muttering in infernal, Infurin begins to slip away from the party [stealth check: 13], speaking in infernal to himself. "Something is off, who just offers information like that? And wouldn't he have tried to confirm that we're in fact the party that's coming to aid. For all he knows, we're marauders or bandits. I'm being paranoid." Infurin sighs to himself, and continues to walk around the campsite out of most of the light from the fire.
Valen goes into a few details about the mission including the key locations such as Lakeshore and the Crossroads. No speculation is made, only that they are investigating "troubles" and looking for someone (Arthur?) who may have been lost on his own mission.

Lia sighs, looking sideways at Infurin and trying to figure out where he's going. Mostly, she wishes Valen would stop talking. "How long are you to stay?" Lia asks, fiddling with the moss in her hair. She searches for something else to say, but nothing comes to mind. Lia glances at Infurin again and tries to will him to sit back down.
Bo nods along listening to Valen outline the party's mission. Speaking up when Arthur is mentioned, "Yes, Arthur came through here a few weeks back. Good lad, I hope that he is doing alright, though his long absence may suggest otherwise."
In response to Lia, "I will stay in these woods until my oath is fulfilled," Lia & Corus understanding that he means until his death. The old man looks down, "Though I suppose that isn't really what you meant is it? I'm here to answer the questions you that I can about Corvindale." Bo says pulling a sun bleached map out of from apparently nowhere. "I could go on and on about the Gnollish raiders, and what that might mean. And the long, long, mostly boring history of the Valley. Where to go for a good drink... I'm not really sure what you lot, in particular, want to know."
Again Bo looks about the group, "So, what can I tell you?"

"Ye see that's the odd thing. Anything you've heard about the Brentfort must only be conjecture. Typically the enclave gets bi-weekly regular missives from Lord Ishmael, which is mostly unreadable updates on the defensive outlook of the Marche. But we haven't gotten one of those in weeks, more than that we haven't seen anything but Gnolls coming out of the Valley since, well I guess since the Meteor Shower."
Bo thinks for a moment, stroking his beard. "But that's the odd thing, if enough Gnolls came up from Cromerth to overwhelm the entire Valley then we should be swimming in them right now. More than that if something had completely swept through Cromerth, then we should have seen refugees for a solid week beforehand. We try interrogating these Gnolls we can catch of course, but you know they don't tend to last long in captivity."

"Hmm that is a good point Lia." Corus furrows his brow, "What if the gnolls are simply fleeing from their home? If that is the case, we have a much bigger problem on our hands." Corus stands up and stretches. "But there are people out there in trouble, so no matter what troubles we may face, I will hunt it down!" Corus swings his sword around, practicing some basic attacks.
"Now mind ye these Gnolls wouldn't be fleeing 'from' the valley they'd be moving 'through' the valley. They mostly live in Cromerth, we've just been dealing with mostly small bands of them moving north into the valley for hmm..." Bo scratches his beard thoughtfully, " well getting close to a decade now."
Bo pops his head back up, " Where are you folks planning on going once you're in the valley? I know Arthur said he would be heading to Crossroads but... " he paused once more giving a sly smile, "I suspect he had some other motives for THAT detour."

He sits there muttering to himself for about a minute before stopping suddenly seemingly realizing that there are other people around.
“Erhem, yes you should look after her father Kasper and if there are no more questions then I only have one other thing I can think of.” He says fake coughing into his fist. “If you look at this map there is a trade stop between the Dawncast and the River. It’s just a few short walls and a tower built by traders so they have a place to stay before entering the forest.” Bo leans back over to his map, tracing from the top right corner to an unmarked settlement farther along the path. “We haven’t been able to patrol outside of the forest with all the Gnolls coming in, so I recommend you lot stay there instead of making camp somewhere in the open. I hate to admit it, but there’s a good chance you get raided somewhere along here.”
