Thank you, good sir, for your honorable contribution. I was going to just make all of the subclasses as private homebrew (which would thus be shared with campaign players), but you've saved me all of that trouble. Thank you.
Yeah, seems a bit mean to start a campaign without the original poster present... Also, I notice you guys are in the States, will it present a problem that I'm on the UK, with the time difference and everything?
Sorry for not replying sooner and for making you guys wait. (There was a power outage and the internet stopped working, and also I was asleep) I think my character should be there now...
Splendid! So, I don't have enough time to get started today because of my schedule, but it's good that the group's here and I can get things off the ground. Before we start, though, I would like to note that the group already knows each other and are starting in a particular town known as Glassfall. It's an ancient town noted for a legendary event, and most of the people coming through are nobles on tour, their bodyguards, and magicians or historians investigating the effects of the event, which led to the town being studded in hundreds of massive obsidian spikes. I'm interested in hearing how you've met each other and what you're in the town for.
@elana: a wild magic sorcerer ! Excellent ! That’s gonna be fun :)
(sorry if I’m nosy but I see you have put a higher stat in Intelligence, whereas for Sorcerer is a Charisma-driven class, is that normal? Sorry just checking as you said you were beginner)
Yes, apology again if it is planned... I'm just asking because Elana said explicitly that they were a new player. For the spells, you can choose them in the EDIT menu (see picture below)
Finally, for the location, I'm in Australia... so don't worry about the timezone :D
A torrent of rain has overtaken an otherwise pleasant day, confining the normal merriment to the indoors, where you’ve found a quiet little tavern in which to shelter. The room is strangely empty save for your group and a few nobles, as well as a slick-haired tiefling playing panpipes on the stage. One noble in particular, an ancient dragonborn with ebony black scales and tattered robes, is standing by the window nearby your current seats. He, not looking away from the window, speaks, presumably to you.
“Do you know the secret behind this town? Why it’s the way it is? I doubt it, it’s not a story known among the people of today. Well, either way, I guess it needs to be spoken anyway.”
He draws in a deep breathe and begins to speak again.
“Thousands of years ago there was a king, a god, more like, of great strength. He was a dragon by the name of Sardior, and bore immense strength and intellect. He, knowing that power is a corrupting force in his wisdom, six Thanes, one for each variety of gem dragon, to advise and keep him from abusing his power. That worked out well, for a while, at least.”
The dragonborn pauses for a second. “After some time, one of the members of the group became evil, Seradess, the Thane of the Obsidian dragons. She attempted to insinuate corruption in the dragon’s court, but was stopped by Sardior, who was intelligent enough to notice the plot. Sardior chased Seradess out of his domain, only to fight his former Thane in the skies above what is now Glassfall,” he guides you to the window and gestures to the spikes outside, jutting out like a million black thorns from the ground, “you can probably guess how that fight ended.”
"After that, Sardior banished the Obsidian dragons from his court, deeming the rest of the species to be evil beyond redemption, and cut them off from his court."
He stops talking and stares out the window. The bard has stopped playing and saunters over to the table. He sits down, a bit of a glow like embers in his eyes as he kicks his feet up onto the table. “You gonna ask about the job or what, Su?”
“I’ll get to that, Zaphael,” the dragonborn responds, “and call me Suuroth, my full name, won’t you?”
“So, I’ll cut to the chase because of that ever so important interruption from our bard friend here,” Suuroth shoots a glare at Zaphael, who is moving their hand in tandem with Suuroth’s words, “I’m on a quest to obtain more knowledge on the subject of Seradess. I’ve always felt that this story was incomplete, but I don’t know how. Then I found a map leading to a strange temple that may hold the answers I’m looking for. It’s some distance away and the trail is riddled with hazards, so I need assistance if I want to complete my goal. I’ve already hired Zaphael, and need some company other than this buffoon. Will you help?”
Theldain puts down his cup of water, and looks intently at the dragon born. The large, almond shaped green eyes seem to bore into the noble.
"So, let's have a look at this map of yours then and see where exactly we are heading to...."
Theldain stands from the bench he was sitting at and gestures with an open hand towards the table. As he does so, you catch a glimpse of a pair of handaxes hanging from his belt underneath his woollen grey cloak.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
At the table sits a gnome. Under his dark coat, one could see a small bag containing vials and flask of different sizes full of various unknown liquids. He purposely sat in the dark corner of the table, but the flickering of the candles reveals occasionally his face. Despite acid scars on his face and a patch coveting his left eye, he looks still surprisingly friendly. Travyn listened closely to the Dragonborn and after Theldain spokes, he places his hand on his companion shoulder.
« One second Theldain, this sounds like a serious adventure. I have a few questions. I am all for the search of knowledge, I live for that, but it seems to me that we should be compensated for the risk. How much gold are you willing to spend on us three? We are, I must say, not the usual Mercenaries»
As he finishes his sentence, a beautifully crafted mechanical dragonfly buzzes and flies from one of his shoulder to the other.
« I must also say that if we are signing up for this job, we could use a bit more information. Who exactly are you ? And do you know what should we expect in this temple, any rumours ? »
Rolling for history check (how much I know about Seradess):18
Suuroth looks toward you both, his hands behind his back. "You'll see the map when you take the job. I'll pay five gold as a down payment, along with thirty for finishing."
Theldain looks at Suuroth with a wry smile. "35 good to go to some unknown location listed by a map that we have not had a chance to look at and verify ourselves.... Surely you could do better than that..."
He picks up his cup of water and casually leans on the table propped up by one arm

Here's the link. Given that this is the first campaign I've run using this app, I might also need to be told whether I actually did it correctly.
Edit: Nevermind.

I don't actually live in the states, so it won't make much of a difference.
Edit: To me, that is. It's up to the other players in this case.

No problem, not really sure how this system works, and not played before so..... Be gentle with me lol

Ah I noticed that too, but I didn't want to question anything because people have their own particular builds etc... Also noticed no spells chosen...
