Malyra turns to the group. “If I remember correctly, my uncle only had his elite guards. Assigned to him by father, ironically. If my people saw me alive, they may be willing to help. I do not know for sure. I was quite little when I was evacuated. I will, of course, give you as much time as you need to prepare. The castle vault has enough gold to last all of you at least three lifetimes. Please do help.”
"I will go with you." Ethan says with a nod to the lady. "I am ready to go as soon as you wish to leave." he glances to the others. "You seem to be a diverse group, which would be a good thing on a trip like this." he looks each of the group over. "I have every intention of seeing this through and urge you to do the same."
Zadoris gives another short bow and says, "I will take my leave now and go grab my gear. I shall meet you at the front hall shortly, it will not take long. I shall make haste." With that he turn and begins to head out the room. His pace is quick and sure and maybe there is a little pep in his step as he exits.
Eira nods enthusiastically and smiles brightly at Lady Malyra. "I'm more than willing to help you, my lady. You've been treated unjustly and we must help you right the wrongs!" As Zadoris turns to leave, she nods again. "Oh! I need to get supplies as well. Shall we all meet in the front hall as Sadie is suggested after we've done everything we need to?"
Cora's eyes sparkle at the mention of the gold, though she does her best to hide her excitement at that specific part. "We'll help you, of course! Your uncle won't know what hit him! I'll just grab my gear real quick and meet you all in the front hall, and then we'll head off. See you in a few minutes!"
The halfling grabs a tiny pack leaning against the wall, smiles to the woman, and skips out the door, following the rest.
Malyra, looking sheepish, says to Ethan and Eira, “I am still a bit weary from my travel here. Could we all rest for today and leave at sunrise tomorrow?”
((Some of you left before the time was set. It is noon right now. You have time to buy or trade any of the gear you have.))
"Very well my lady." Ethan says with a bow. "I have some purchases to make, then will meet you in the morning." With that he heads out and goes to make a few purchases of his own.
Cora skips through the local shops buying the following:
Bag of ball bearings (1 gp)
Bag of caltrops (1 gp)
5 pieces of chalk (5 cp)
A climbers' kit (25 gp)
3 flasks of oil (3 sp)
Collapsable 10-foot pole (1 cp)
Potion of Healing (50 gp)
An extra 10 days of rations (5 gp)
A 2-person tent (1 gp)
By the end of her trip, her tiny backpack is nearly bursting at the seams. She runs toward the meeting hall, waits a few minutes, becomes impatient, travels to the castle herself and defeats the evil uncle and his guards, learns about the meeting time, and leaves, coming back early at sunrise the next day.
((I’ll give you all some time to check out the market to buy or trade for anything you may need. If you’re done shopping or don’t need anything, just say you’re ready in our group pm.))
"Be my guest my lady." Ethan says with a bow. "I need only stop at an armorer to see what some sets of armor are currently selling for, then I can give you a full tour of the city." He offers his elbow in a gentlemanly way and leads her off towards the armorer.
((We’ll come back to Cora and anyone else who wants to time-skip to the time we leave. Anyone who wants to rp what they do until then may do so.))
Ethan:
At the armorer’s, you see a beautiful elf handling the front of the shop and a dwarf working in the back. You hear metallic clangs coming from behind her. The elven woman speaks to you. “Hello. How may we help you?”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Prior to entering the store Ethan casts guidance on himself.
"This Lady has need of my services in a journey." Ethan says, nodding to the lady he escorted here. "I fear I have too little coin, but wanted to see how much a set of full plate would sell for currently. I can offer my chain mail in trade, and have some little coin..."
Zargaroth is making his way into the city, spending his day preparing for the journey, he is trying to acquire the following things:
Studded leather
arcane focus (crystal)
thief’s tools
3x components to cast find familiar
a grappling hook
After he got everything (or gave up on searching for what he did not get) he retreats to his room and spend 1 h on the ritual to summon Mara, his fiendish little owl. The rest of the evening, he spends watching thru Maras eyes as she glides above the dark city, imagining how it would feel to be able to just freely glide thru the air, and of course, watching the neighborhood for anything that could be a threat or otherwise of interest to him. In the morning, he makes his way to the meeting place, having Mara sent to her pocket dimension for now.
The elven woman looks at Malyra, who has the hood of her cloak up. “This Lady?” She asks quizzically. You see Malyra briefly lift her arms to adjust her headband. Roll for Perception
When Malyra adjusts her headband, you see a quick shimmer of light on the reflection of the elf’s eyes. Your eyes may be playing tricks on you, or something else.

Ethan seeks out an armor smith to see how much they have for current prices for armor.
Malyra follows Ethan, him being the last member heading out. “I’d like to see more of the town, if you don’t mind.”
