Lem makes sure they are really leaving, and then turns to Yokini to see if she is alright. "That could have gone better. Made some enemies. Kind of thing you used to chide me for. Good to see Ini's still full of piss'n'vinegar, though. You okay?"
He asks Kamara, "did they at least pay their tab? With Telly's money?"
And then he goes over to their table and looks on it, and on the floor around it, trying to find anything they left behind or dropped, or if they left behind any clues of what their business might really be.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thistle you notice a few (14) silver pieces, but not much more. Up to you if you decide to take them or leave them for Kemara.
Kemara responds to Lem Oh yes, they paid...anytime those Braids are in here, I make them pay up front...no tab, no pay when you are done. I have learned my lesson with them.
As Lem makes his way over to the table, likely while Thistle is there looking for any leftover coin, Lem examines anything left on or around the table, but the tieflings dont seem to have left anything behind, though as you are searching you do recall one of the Tieflings saying the name Serim Selduzar...something about the wrath of the Braids, or the wrath of Serim...your not quite sure. You were a bit distracted by your arm at the time.
Lem and Zashier, you would recognize this name - he is a Tiefling living up in Hightown, across the river, at the Moon Valley Inn. You recall that he has been living there for several months, but you do not know much about him. The rumors around town are that he plans to settle here in the area, maybe build a house, but there has been no evidence that he has started settling into town. He just stays there at the Inn.
Thistle will bring the silver to the other table, and overhearing Kemara talk about already having been paid, deposits the coins in front of Telly. "Just shy of two gold left, I'm afraid."

Yokini climbs up into a chair at the table and puts her head in her hands for a few minutes as the others are straightening up. "What a mess," she says, finally looking up. She pushes her bushy hair out of her face and gives the others a look of regret. "I'm sorry. It just made me mad that they were being mean." She smiles at Raddunth. "Thank you, stranger, for being so chivalrous." Then, to Telly: "I'm sorry I made things worth with those thugs. Let me make it up to you by helping you find your missing shipment."
"Goodbye new friends! See you next time, I guess!"Zashier would be sure to calls after them, as well as wave and smile despite the clear threat in their voice. As he stood there afterwards with his hands on his hip, the smile slowly falls away with a sigh. "Well, that all happened."He states prior to noticing Yokini's state. It is then he'll waddle his way over to pat her on the shoulder.
"Hey mam, its okay. Your heart was in the right place, even if your head weren't. And its nice seeing someone seeing willing to get a bit banged up for a decent bloke. Not that saw much of it me self, but the evidence is fairly present." He said as thoughtless poked at her cheek. Though instead of the stinging sensation that one might expect, a strange combination of both warmth and numbness instead spread from the point of contact (Lay on Hands for 3 points to Yokini). Outwardly however, little seemed to change, unless one watched intently as the bruising faded much faster than it should've over the ensuing minutes.
"So, we all still up for the request, then? Everyone good a warmed up after the earlier excitement, mm? If so, I think I might just be able to lead the way to the manor with some doing. Haven't had to deal with Kobolds much compared to goblins, so it will be quite the experience I expect."

(Can Lem do a history check on Serim Selduzar to see if he recalls anything beyond the rumors? Anything from his travels?)
History: 12
Lem responds to Yokini, "You're fine. They were jerks."
As the rest of the group begins to form, a bit of Lem's discomfort around other people begins to melt away. He knows Yokini, of course, and Telly. Zashier seems fairly easy to get along with and he and Yokini seem to know each other. The lady with all the hilts... Bristle? She seems to want a job, and if she's been able to steal so many people's weapons, she must be pretty quick. And this Raddish fellow seems very strong, certainly not a coward, but it's not clear why he was trying to wrestle and play-fight with that stinky tiefling. But the familiar envelope of a group of people engaged in a common task began to make Lem act a bit less... abnormal. His eyes stop bouncing around and become less bug-eyed and he fidgets less.
"I'm Lem,"he says, looking at those he doesn't know. "Fought in the war, with the Spearbreakers, the 6th mage cadre. Met Yokini there. But here, seems there's a mission, and a reward. Retrieval and extraction. Dragon hide for Telly, from the kobolds in the mansion. I'm in. Also don't like what the Braids have been up to, so might want to do something about that. Fallcrest has been boring lately. Could use some fun."
Thistle is considering her options, which aren't many.
"Nice to meet you, Lem. My name is Thistle, like the plant though I'm not so prickly," she smiles warmly. "Wasn't but a tot during the war, and I've worked mercenary since I left home, but I've nothing but respect for you all that fought for flag and country. I'd be in to work this job for Telly, here. I'm a good scout and a capable fighter." Her face brightens, "And I've got a horse!" There's a little bit of girlish glee in that comment, but y'all are pretty insight-blind so you probably don't notice. :)

When Thistle introduces herself, the old gnome gives her a motherly smile. "Well, I have a mule," she says with a nod. She stands up in her chair and pushes her hair back. "Alright, boys and girls," she says in her take-charge voice, "everyone visit the washroom before we leave. We don't want to have to make any pit stops. Lemmy? How's the arm? You need to me to do anything to it before we take on those misbehaving kobolds?"
Raddunth will go outside and grab the (now empty) bucket of ale that was next to his riding horse, and return it to the barkeep. Then he will join the others.

as you think back over your history in the military and your travels, you do recall a man named Serim. He was a druid, recruited during the war, but was always pushing the boundaries between helping and hurting. He was known for running orcs out of villages by commanding animals, but afterwards tried to take control of those villages, usurping their power, but never having a strong following. Those working with him reported him several times. He was dishonorably discharged because of his crimes against the community during the war.
As you step outside, despite it being dark, the town is still dimly lit. You all look up at the night sky and see an abnormally large moon lighting the Moon Vally with an ethereal brightness that baffles human logic surrounded by countless stars. You can all imagine this town during its heyday, before the war and before the siege, lit by moonlight. Its a paradox to see such darkness from the Braids in such a gorgeos place as Fallcrest.
Telly exits with you. He thanks you all for being willing to go and find his dragon scales. He says "Its a bit late. Dont know if you'll be wanting to head out now, but I suppose its up to you. If you need a place to stay, I recommend the Moon Valley Inn or The Silver Unicorn. The Unicorn is a bit pricier, but you get what you pay for. I will be at my bellows tomorrow if you need me, its just around the corner" and he makes his way off down the street, and around the corner. If you choose to stay, I will also say that he gave you directions to whichever place you decided to stay. The Blue Moon Alehouse does not have any rooms.
Thistle gathers the reins of her horse. "I'm to the Moon Valley Inn, I've not the coin for a pricier place. Some o' you live round here, no? Shall we meet at Telly's in the morning? Sunup?"

She walks over and unties her mule, patting her on the head as she leads her back toward the group. "When would they be easier to surprise?"

Thistle you recall from a previous job that kobolds are small reptilian humanoids that worship and serve dragons, stick together in groups, are extremely clever and cunning. On your job, they seemed to really like leaving traps around. You also recall that they are extremely sensitive to sunlight (in mechanics terms, while in sunlight, the kobold has disadvantage on attack rolls, as well as on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.)
