Bry recognizes that his card will lose, and given the wager is unwilling to let that transpire. He reaches for the card, but just as he's touching it employs a method of distraction he'd used many times before. He began coughing, his other hand jerking back to cover his mouth as in-between coughs he mouthed arcane words. Words that he combined with a subtle gesture over the other card, rewriting it's face to be a 7. ((Prestidigitation combined with a Deception Check of (hopefully high): 16)) He then finished his fit and drew the card, hoping the magic had taken effect. He stared at it a moment before laying it down on the table, accepting his fate.
Samudra walks closer to the strange shadows, a previously hidden greenish frill rising as she gets closer
As Samudra stalks closer to the shadows, it appears that they seem to be completely normal. Perhaps it was just a trick of the eyes. A crow cries in the distance, surprising her for a moment. Nadi lets out a low, rumbling hiss.

The mysterious woman becons you near, despite her eyes still being locked on Bry.
"very well" I draw out a circle int he dirt and put my 5 g in a bowl on the right side, and motion for him to put his 1g in the bowl on the left, when he does this I will say to him, "when you're ready, come at me"

You flip your card and are relieved to find that the magic has taken, as your card now reveals a seven-pointed star. You lock eyes with the fortune teller, who gives a sly grin and a wink. She slides the three gold pieces to George and hands you your deck back. "I believe that you too owe your friend payment, yes?" She mutters as she grabs a deck of her own, "As a gift for giving this old woman a brief moment of fun, I should like to give to you a glimpse of the future..." She continues as she lays four cards down in a cross-like pattern. "You see, I am no simple charlatan. The Vistani are blessed with a unique sense of the supernatural..." She lays a fifth card in the center, "Some, like myself, can even trace the threads of fate..."

The drunken man takes one last swig of his drink before tossing it aside. He stands, albeit wobbly, and rushes you. He swings a haymaker toward your head (17), yelling like a slurring madman all the while. He catches you off guard, as he moved a bit quicker than you actually expected, but there isn't much power behind the swing. You take 1 damage

Davmorn approaches the table, placing his hand on top of the cards just dealt by the woman. He inspects the elderly woman who had just laid the cards down, unsure of her game.
In his rough brogue, Davmorn asks, "What games are you playing with us? Telling the future is not something one does idly."
Davmorn looks deep into her eyes to try to understand what she has to gain by this. (Insight Check 12)
"I didn't think ya had it in ya", I give him a cold smile, "my turn", and I attack him twice with my hands.

Grim's first punch connects with crack into the man's nose. The man's head snaps up in recoil, leaving his body unguarded. Almost simultaneously, Grim delivers a quick punch to the gut and gently props him up on a nearby bench. With how drunk he was, he likely didn't feel a thing. Some of his drinking buddies come by to pick him up and hand you his 1 gold. After that display, not too many care to get near Grim in the ring.

"You do not know where you tread, oh child of the hills. One does not enter these mists idly..." She says as she motions to the blanketing haze that now covers where you all entered. It is far off in the distance, but thick enough to be extremely noticeable. "You enter the cursed lands of the devil Strahd. Where the dead walk the paths of the living and the wailing souls of the trapped ring out like cries of a raven. I wish to prepare you for the tapestry that shall be knit by your actions." Davmorn gets the innate sense that this woman, this fortune teller, is actually telling the truth. There is something about her eyes that reflect his own. The same eyes of one who has seen past the mortal veil.
Grim takes the gold and walks over to the fortune teller, "I have been told by many that I am watched over by the fates, or death, I'd like to see what they have planned."

"So you shall..." The fortune teller looks to Davmorn and motions to the dwarfs hand that is currently covering the large, thick cards.

Davmorn eyes dart from the fortune teller to the mist that she brought to his attention. Her intentions have not been laid bare, but he does know that he must allow her to continue.
Davmorn lifts his hand as he says, "Kelemvor guide you in your tellings."
"Very well, let us begin." The seven of you (and crocodile) gather around the small table at the center of the tent. The lights from the rest of the camp dim, and candles along the table light, one by one. The eyes of the fortune teller flicker with the same light, taking on a flame-like appearance. "This card tells of history... Knowledge of the ancient will help you better understand you enemy..."Her voice is amplified, sounding more like two or three of herself than the one that you see before you. She flips the first card, left of the cross-like pattern, revealing an old man clutching a chest. "The nine of coins, Miser... Look for a fortress inside a fortress, in a place hidden behind fire..." The fires grow brighter and the voice louder, "This card tells of a powerful force for good and protection, a holy symbol of great hope..." She flips the second card, the northmost card of the five, revealing a man in robes with a holy light behind him. "The master of glyphs, Priest... You will find what you seek in the castle, amid the ruins of a place of supplication..." Once again, the lights grow brighter and the sound louder. "This is a card of power and strength. It tells of a weapon of vengeance: a sword of sunlight..." She moves to flip the rightmost card, revealing a bearded man in the shadow of a large tree. "The five of glyphs, Druid... An evil tree grows atop a hill of graves where the ancient dead sleep. The ravens can help you find it. Look for the treasure tree..." The lights and voices begin to slowly fade, growing quieter and dimmer. "This card sheds light on one who will help you greatly in the battle against darkness." She flips the southmost card, revealing a man covered in ethereal eyes. "The Seer. Look for a dusk elf living amongst the Vistani. He has suffered a great loss and is haunted by dark dreams. Help him, and he will help you in return...". With that, you are plunged into complete darkness. You wait for a moment, and the middle card is illuminated by flame. The fortune teller speaks in a hushed tone, "Your enemy is a creature of darkness, whose powers are beyond mortality. This card will lead you to him..." She whispers as she flips the middle card, a puppeteer and horrible doll, "The Marionette. Look to great heights. Find the beating heart of the castle. He waits nearby." As she finishes, the flaps of the tent open and firelight again fills the tent. "It is done."
