I shoot a few glances around the bar, before approaching the barkeep. '' Good evening, I'm interested in renting a space for the night, how much would a modest room cost me? '' Perception: 17
(Aelmyn (Sheeple) wondered if he heard the motif of the inn's name before): He doesn't seem to have heard the motif before.
"In the Inn of the Black Serpent, there are few people. A tall, guant man with dark hair sits behind the barkeep's counter. Other residents of the inn's tavern include a couple of masked men whispering with each other in a corner of the room. A young woman stands next to them, occasionally saying something in a strange language to both of them."
(Grigor (AcerakTheEternal)asked for something to drink): "We have some wine recently shipped from Chult a tenday ago. It costs 9sp a glass" says the barkeep in a gruff voice to Grigor.
(Aelmyn (Sheeple) Rat (Winenose) and wondered if rooms were avaliable): "We have two rooms available. Each of our rooms can hold four people. Those two (the barkeep points to the masked men) are in one room and her (pointing to the woman) is in the other. The rooms are 2sp a night. You'll be having a roommate either way. So you should get your group figured out to who sleeps in which room." Says the barkeep to you both.

"I'll have a glass of milk please and one of everything the three in the corner are having."
I will down the milk if available and then take the drinks (if they are drinking anything) and head to the three in the corner.
"Hi, name's Rat. We need to share rooms tonight, so I figured I'll come and introduce myself. How you fellows doing?" If there is no immediate response, I will leave them alone and go find something else to do.
Rat is a most bizarre name, indeed. At a second glance, I don't believe I have ever seen a creature like you. Are you some variety of handling or gnome?

"I'm a svirfneblin to be exact. We're related to gnomes though, if that helps make it clearer. The name is a short story," as I chuckle to myself, "as I'm very small and gray and was left on the streets at a very young age. People started calling me Rat and as I've never known another name, it stuck."
"What about yourself though? You're the religious type I guess? If your church ever did charity work with lost children, I thank you in the name of all of us."
I listen and try to understand the strange language that the woman is speaking, ( I speak Primordial and Draconic in addition to common) before approaching her.
'' Good evening, I was told that I would be housed in the same room with either you or the other two lads, so I thought it would be nice to exchange greetings. ''
I swipe my hand against my pants in an effort to dry it, before extending it to her.
(Grigor (AcerakTheEternal) had a glass of wine): The Chultan wine has a strong, exotic flavor to it.
(Aelmyn (Sheeple) tries to identify the language that the woman is speaking): You don't recognize the language.
(Aelmyn (Sheeple) attempts to socialize with the woman): You can see that the two men are glaring at you under their serpentine masks. The woman does not take your hand but says: "My name's Karissa. You are welcome to sleep in my room with a couple of your friends. My two comrades will share a room with the fourth." She grins with a sinister glint in her green eyes. Something seems wrong about the three of them.
(Rat (Winenose) attempts to socialize with the three other people in the room): The three figures are already drinking their Chultan wine. The two men look puzzled under their masks (which resemble serpentine faces). The woman speaks to you in a cold voice, saying: "We are well at the moment. But we are discussing private affairs. Leave."
The barkeep looks annoyed by Ketuyne's behavior, but finally turns in for the night.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I return to the bar, "Those are not friendly."
I will place the extra drinks that I bought on the bar and move away from them, casting Mage Hand quietly at some point (which is invisible due to my class ability). I will then use the invisible mage hand to knock over couple of drinks and cause some other commotion. Immediately after that I'll try to sneak away towards the rooms that we would be staying in (Stealth: 20) and wait patiently at the end of a hallway or something to see if anyone followed me. If nobody shows up in the next minute, I will try to see if I can get into one or both of the rooms and take a quick glance around (Perception:18 or Investigation:19), whichever you deem more appropriate). After that I will return to the group.
(Aelmyn (Sheeple) checked to see if the weather has improved): The rain is falling less heavily, but you can still see flashes of lightning and hear thunder.
(Rat (Winenose) knocked over a couple of drinks then went to look in the rooms): Karissa and her comrades are bewildered and arguing over who spilled their drinks. One of them looks at you. When you look in the rooms, both of them are identical. Each one has four beds, a small table and two chairs, a soft rug on the floor, and a coat rack next to you. In one of the rooms, a bed has someone else's belongings. In the other room, two beds have unpacked luggage laid out on them. You hear Karissa and the two men come upstairs. Their clothes show signs of spilt wine. They are speaking with each other in whispers. "We leave at four." Karissa says. "What about our roommates?" asks one of the masked men. "Don't wake them." replies Karissa coolly. They bump into you. "Oh!" Karissa exclaims, surprised. Then she resumes her normal, emotionless expression. "I see you've been studying your rooms for the night." She says, smiling. Then, in an eerie voice, she whispers: "Be sure you don't get too comfortable." She seems to be holding back a cackle. For the first time, you get a close look at her. Make a Perception check. She heads into one of the rooms. The masked men walk quickly into the other.

Anyway, I enter the building.

After a few moments of pondering, I enter the inn.
"Four walls and a roof - perfect", as I walk in, look around for a brief second to spot the innkeeper and go straight up to him.
"It's been a shitty day, please tell me you have some rooms available," as I pull out a very wet cloth and wipe the rain out of my face and bald head.
I saunter up to the barker and ask: Have you anything to drink?

I shall most definitely have a glass, then.
I then hand the barkeep 9 sp.
