Sorry. I think this thread is dead. I've gradually seen some people lose interest.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Devious serpent folk devoid of compassion, yuan-ti manipulate other creatures by arousing their doubts, evoking their fears, and elevating and crushing their hopes. From remote temples in jungles, swamps, and deserts, the yuan-ti plot to supplant and dominate all other races and to make themselves gods.
I lost interest to be honest. I have now witnessed two different formats to play by post, one of which is here. The other is on Facebook where a new group is created and every new scene is a new post, accompanied by a photo and a longer description. Then players post their actions as comments and the DM replies to those comments with requests for ability checks and whatnot.
The main difference though is the "setting the scene" part. A thorough description, sometimes with a piece of a map is posted. If the players are exploring a dungeon, it describes that players were walking around the corridors for a while and what they found. Every scene description ends with a question to ALL of the players of what they wish to do next or to roll initiative. If the DM has a question to a specific player it's solved in chat. This way even if the DM doesn't post for a week (which has happened), when he does post, you're right back into the game and actually have something to read through and something do. Also, the scene history is right there for all the players to browse as those are separate posts to this facebook group and one does not need to click back through 10+ pages of unorganized forum posts.
In summary, this single-thread forum thing we have going on here may not be the right medium for a play-by-post game. I know some games are progressing well here too, but that seems to be the exception.
unfortunately, I cannot heal any more of you, as of now.

Bit depressing, really. I will never know what happened to Grigor Kulenov.
