Upon hearing your name, he starts mumbling to himself, mostly in that babbling brook/wind chime language. [Make a perception check to find out how much you can hear.]
To you, he says (with a surprisingly renewed sense of urgency), "Please. A powerful wizard can end this curse. Allow me to accompany you to the North. Get me safely to the largest city you can along your route. There's sure to be somewhere along your path where some wizards can be found. I will reward you handsomely if you can bring me to them."
"This blasted curse will prevent me from being able to communicate the moment I leave the grounds of my former home. When the day mixes with night, however, my true form will be revealed. Keep me safe until the sun dips below the horizon, and I can prove to those travelling with you that I am more than I seem. As for what reward I can offer, the riches of my kingdom have faded to dust save for one artifact: a magical bow that was used for Great Hunts. A cruel reminder from the one who cursed me. I will gladly give it to you once the curse is ended."
Fjordix nodded in agreement, "Alright, I can promise I'll do my best." he wasn't sure how he was going to explain it to the others, but this soul seemed kind and there was a reward.
Fjordix nods and begins to make his way back through the woods towards the caravan, keeping his eye out for any other hunters so he can ward them off. If allowed he will lay a hand on the beast to show anyone that approaches that he has "tamed" the creature.
[Arliden, if and when he sees this, thinks it is unbelievably cool and begins making notes as to how to tell the story of Fjordix, friend of the golden stag]

[Make sure to play up the size of the stag and how he wrestled with it for days before it yielded.]

The stag allows you to place your hand on him. When you get back to the caravan, the other hunters start questioning you. Go ahead an make a Charisma (Persuasion) check to convince them to not kill the stag and take it's golden furn.
OOC: It's too bad I couldn't intimidate them, then at least I would have gotten a +1 instead of a -1. Of note though, Fjordix will position himself to protect the stag even if they try to come for him. He'll use non lethal attacks, but is ready for a fight.
If Arliden sees this and it looks like a fight he is 100% getting ready to be on the side of Fjordix, Friend of the Golden Stagg, Protector of the Forest and Ally to All Good Creatures and trying to talk them all down if things start getting tense.
[He would rather just let Fjordix handle it but if he gets worried things are getting out of hand he'll start speaking trying to get a minute of speaking to the crowd and use his enthralling performance ability on the 5 most aggressive people to charm them. Again though, this is only if he is worried things will get out of hand.]
The hunters seem to initially be unmoved. After hearing what sounds like a bunch of other people agreeing to let the stag live, you hear some of them start agreeing as well. One in particular says, "Yeah...let it live...maybe it will bring us good luck? That's...what we're going to do." After saying that, he goes back to the wagon he was with, whistling the whole way back.
Rex, go ahead and make a Wisdom (Perception) check.
The hunt took up a good chunk of the afternoon. With the hunt's anti-climactic conclusion, the caravan agrees to just set up camp right there and wait for a new day to begin travelling again. Is there anything else your characters would like to do before the sun begins to set?

OOC: I apologize, I thought I had responded.
Fjordix scratches his head for a moment, "It would be hard to conceal your form as you are. What sort of reward are we talking?"

"Thank you, Fjordix Dra - uh - Anker. Let us head back to your caravan. I'm sure they are expecting your return by now."

Yes. How would you like to help?
[Fjordix's roll can be made with advantage.]
Rex would be in the back making it sound like different people are agreeing with him.
