(It was actually Alton with the mage hand, but that totally works).
Rhane tries to recall if he knows this man or if there are any identifying marks that might give him clues (Humans are among his Favored Enemies, though that only helps with INT checks and tracking, I think). Perception: 17
”Does anyone have the capability to identify these items?” asks Rhane as they are pulled out of the chest. For now, he takes the spell scrolls and tries to see if any are on his Ranger spell list.
Balassar just smiles as he walks over and grabs a sword with a smile "Yeah, this is a sword. Anyone opposed to if I take this?" he asks as he looks at the other items "Or the dinosaur figure?"
Rhane, you do not recognise the man; he is not one of the brigands you have ever seen. However, there is something odd about his appearance, and the way he is lying on the floor. It's hard to say why, but something looks off.
You can tell that none of the scrolls is any spell you are familiar with.
“There is something odd about this man’s appearance—almost as if his body kinematics don’t correspond to a normal human’s. He may be disguised in some way,” says Rhane. He starts investigating the form before him, trying to see if there is an illusion upon it or more mundane makeup or prosthetic work that could be masking his true identity.

Showing the others, Rhane places his hand through the illusion of the taller man onto the head of the shorter one. He tries to focus his vision to see through the illusion now that he knows it is there--or perhaps find the bit of magic that is generating the illusion if it is an item of clothing or such--and so see the man's true form.

With no one saying anything the Dragonborn takes the sword and figure with a smile. He just listens as Rhane explains what is going on with the prisoner “So how do we see what’s actually under there? Strip him to his skivvies or something?” He asks trying to contribute an idea from a lack of knowledge about magic.
He waits to see if anyone else takes from the pile, noting that if no one does he will grab what remains to distribute later.
Returning the scrolls to the pile, Rhane picks up the ring since no one volunteered to identify the magic. “I don’t know if this will be useful to me or others, but I’ll hold onto it for now if you don’t mind,” he says.

Alton lets the group pick what they want from the found loot and picks up the potion of water breathing and the dust of dryness. "Unfortunately, I don't know how to identify magic items, but I'm sure we can find someone who can." He looks over to Rhane, "We could try stripping him down, but I think we'll have to wait it out or dispel the illusion somehow."

”I don’t know how to cancel the illusion. Perhaps it will dissipate with time. Let’s pack him up and get out of here,” suggests Rhane, standing up and preparing to shoulder half of the man’s weight.

Balassar walks over to the man and just picks him up hoisting him over his shoulder "Let's get going I guess, we can at least turn him in to the guards and Kef will hopefully get some recognition from all this. Alton will have to tell about the local hero tonight in the bar."
Alton grins, "That I can." Alton gathers up his things, "Oh, we still need to do something about the bodies outside and are we going to bring this guy back to Lord Teratt? Also, if he can change his whole appearance, maybe one of us stays at the guard post to make sure there isn't any trickery."

There is absolutely an illusion on him. The real man is slightly more slender, and slightly shorter.

You gather everything together and Balassar carries the still-unconscious prisoner.
Kef picks up a couple of discarded weapons and ties them into a bundle to stuff into his backpack.
You exit the complex and start walking in the general direction of civilisation - you can decide along the way where you are headed.
(Where will you head first? Feltyr is on the way to Zadash, if you decide to go there and drop Kef off - assuming that's where he wants to go?)
I need someone to let me know whether you are going to Zadash, Feltyr or somewhere else. Sorry if the question wasn't clear.
