Gwen skulked in the background as the others stealthily checked the windows of the home. While it was best to presume the target was armed and dangerous, wouldn't it be best to approach the house as usual? It seemed to her that her companions may end up breaking and entering the home without even trying to knock first! She silently judged them, but said nothing, instead choosing to stew in her own angst over the issue. Dealing with a serious situation with non-paladins and non-clerics was certainly more different than she realized.
Her guilty feelings led her to keep an eye out and pray she could come up with a convenient enough excuse as to why there was a cat man prying into this man's home.

Gwen's heart began to pound. The cat had just performed an unlawful act. Yet, she said nothing. Instead, she started to reason. Surely the father was a dangerous man... so of course, this was proper course, was it not? After all, the man had beaten his own son half to death. It was time for righteous action. Or so she hoped. "H-ha... haa..." Gwen laughed nervously stepping into the house.

Sun crawls along the triangular set of beams that holds the roof, he has a pretty clear view of the whole house from this point, as long as he just moves along the central beam. what he sees is the hall (#1), on the left of the door is a rack for boots and a small alcove in which things can be put, like weapons brooms and the likes. you know in case of attacks. the second room he sees, is the dining room (#2), right below the hall. The next room, is the kitchen (#3) which currently seems wrecked. from the corridor on the north part of the house, the next room is a bedroom (#5), the bed is tighly done and it seems to be well kept. to the south, is what can only be described as a lounge (#4) or a hunting hall of honor. There is a fireplace in this room along with several heads of creatures that can be found in the nearby hills. The heads adorn the walls as can be expected. The room next to the bedroom, is another bedroom (#6), this one decorated with flowers which have seen better days. the bed is well kept but not tighly. the last room, is a bigger bedroom (#7). this one has a huge bed that is completely messed up.
Aside from the quick survey of the room, Sun goes back to the door and opens up a door that was not even locked. Nobody seems to be in the house. and the only sign of life except for your group, are some poorly taken care of flowers.
Reshi looks around, the small alcove to the left of the door has a broom in it and that is as much as one can find in such a small place. The entry hall is small and barely holds all 3 of you. Noticing that Zylar hasn't come inside yet. Just looking past the door. Reshi sees Zylar going back the trail. having not said a word. Apparently Zylar decided to leave this matter into your groups capable hands. Turning his gaze to the familly portrait. Well drawn, the author was well versed in painting and had quite a talent. Aside from the description already given, the one thing that can be seen from closer is the actual writing on the fathers chain. The picture of Wolfe is depicted with him having a serious look and a chain dangling from his neck, that chain holds 2 words on a plate that runs the bottom part of that chain. on the plate it is written "Dust Watchers". Unfortunately in this little hall... nothing else of interest.
One thing has become apparent since entering the house to everyone, mostly the spell casters. Some weird energies emanates from this house. you cannot pinpoint from where it comes but it feels like something is watching you.
[ooc] Zylar is gone back to the coach cab, the reason being that the player doesn't really want to go on. Apparently by what was played here up to this point, he thinks he's not liking PbP and preffer live people. he fears his distaste may interfere with your fun if he goes on for the sake of finishing what he started. and as such preferes to just leave now before it goes too far. Reshi inspects all the rooms with a cursory glance, but stops when he gets to the bedroom filled with dying flowers (#6). He steps inside and tries to use his knowledge of Arcana to decide if this room is the source of the magical disturbance. He also inspects the room for any useful information.
"Sun, Gwen," Reshi calls out down the hall, "come in here. Do you think this might have been the girl's room?"
Gwen is initially frightened by the odd energies but quickly grows angry that she feels like she is being watched. She felt certain it must be an abomination of some kind. Reshi thinks to himself, feeling the energies around him. As he looks around, seeing energies building up around the house. Definitely, the bone chilling feeling of dread that was sensed earlier, is coming from below the house. these are ritual energies. A long ritual that probably took about a week of preparations. If this ritual continues for this long, these energies will start affecting the environment.
As Gwen and Sun enters the room, Reshi starts looking around the room for things that could help them understand what's hapenning. Reshi turns around as Gwen is looking at him with darring eyes. There it is... If this was the girls room and she was wise, she defintely kept that somewhere close by. Reshi pulls out a small locked book from under a pile of clothing near the bed cabinet.
Gwen comes to the same conclusion, at the exception of one detail which is almost as important. These flowers are dying because of energies of a ritual of some kind being performed. The most disconcerting to her though, is those flowers are dying from necromantic energies.
