Tzedaka moves toward the doors, then, she raises a hand and wills the door open (unless locked, thaumaturgy)
Both doors open....one appears to be a pantry piled with foodstuffs and casks, the other is an office of sorts with a cluttered two drawer desk, stool and a large cupboard.
Enwynn does not know if she should feel glad Libb has taken the advice to make themselves scarce or sorry that they have done so, but on the balance, simply hopes that they are better off wherever they may be now than they were here.
Her impassive expression does not change at the sight of the remains of Leigh. Some sorrows are too deep to plumb the depths of safely, and certainly not when too many other lives hang in the balance. Many grave wounds have been healed by Erillia's blessings and her own hands before, but those wounds do not include the loss of an entire head. It is also beneath her to kick the corpse of the one responsible for that state of affairs, and the anger she feels even now is pointless, a fierce beast, but one without prey in sight.
The chess room draws a brief smile from her at the memory of what was won, and how that helped another victory occur.
The elf offers "I don't recallchecking that door last time, Herman, so you're probably right. Give me a moment to make sure that goblin won't choke on their own vomit in their sleep and I'll give it a look over after the cupboard."
OOC: Medicine check on Hill Goblin of 14. Are they out of it for real, and if so, are they in any danger in their current position?
The Hill Goblin appears to be in no danger and is snoring and insensate.....seemingly for the foreseeable future.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Banzo takes a sample of the more appealing looking food and gives it a taste before washing it down with a beverage.
"Someone left in a hurry, I guess news travels fast inside the mountain."
When Tzedaka moves near the doors and they suddenly open (if not locked) Banzo puts down any food or drink he may still be holding and moves closer to examine whatever may be inside.
"What have we here?"

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Garet having made his way through the shadows to join everyone in this room, had a few things playing on his mind and despite a sleeping Hill Goblin decided to voice them.
"I believe Yaztromo could play the role of the magic user, or even the Lady in Chalice perhaps " the last part of the sentence trailed off remembering the power wielded to remove the Barons spirit from his sword.
"I say this mountain is preferable to Hell but a close run thing. We should find the water essence."
"Lady Tzedeka how do we charge the essences, is it through, interactions with the elemental spirits," Hoping that being in their presence was enough and not having to fight Water, Earth and Wind demons, to gain such a charge.
Garet hung back to see if anyone needed use of his less heroic talents in picking locks to any of the drawers and doors that other identified as interesting.
Tzedaka smiles radiently at Garet, "Now you are thinking things through, and asking dee right questions." She winks at Garet, implying the barbarian may have not asked what was needed. "Indeed, I believe one of these individuals has the power to complete rituals. Perchaps der is one more in dee forest, she glances at Enwynn, but....." She seems to ponder something, "I believe that we have dee Fire essence, it is charged. We chave earth and air. Dey are not charged yet, but if we inspect dem and do some research, I believe we can charge dem, but likely not in dis mountain, nor would that halp us now. We do not chave water, yet I believe it is certainly here, maybe in the locked room by the mountain entrance, as well as the vessel to hold it.
You are correct about the mountain, yet, it used to belong to the dwarves and we should return it to dem so dat dey can restore it. They live on the hills around dee mountain, dee battleaxe clan, and der is also King Gillibran. Der is also a tremendous amount of treasure in dis place, many of the tings were taken from others, but der is much of value chere and it vill not take long for dose possessed of greed including perchaps a dragon to come chere. Although it is not my decision, dose who worked in dis mountain supported Zagor's goals and evil. Der are some who yet may be redeemed but many that should leave dis place."
"Finally, vhen we leave dee mountain, we vill need to conceal my identity and appearance as much as we can. Der are many who would consider capturing one such as myself a great prize, and I vill be targeted."
The angelic young woman looks for keys and troglodites. (Perception: 22)
The cupboard is bare of troglodytes and keys but there is indeed quite a comfortable looking bedding space and an open and empty coffer with a couple of scattered gold pieces around it.
It seems as if the erstwhile Kremmel may have taken the keys with him when he fled.....possibly to loot the stores on his way out with the others....

Looking over the desk Banzo finds records of payments, various forms regarding harassment claims and disciplinary actions against certain employees and a list of employees with each one having a symbol written next to the name. Most of the symbols are just ticks, but some are crosses, some angry faces and a few have small hearts drawn beside them.

Garet hung back to see if anyone needed use of his less heroic talents in picking locks to any of the drawers and doors that other identified as interesting.
As Banzo checks over the desk he discovers a concealed drawer which is locked and Garet is easily able to open it revealing two ledgers and a bright pink flask.
Tzedaka smiles radiently at Garet, "Now you are thinking things through, and asking dee right questions." She winks at Garet, implying the barbarian may have not asked what was needed. "Finally, vhen we leave dee mountain, we vill need to conceal my identity and appearance as much as we can. Der are many who would consider capturing one such as myself a great prize, and I vill be targeted."
Indeed thinking back to the two tunnels that ran left and right after the golden door and earlier conversations some of the Heroes may suspect that there is already a dragon here....not to mention what may dwell down the other tunnel with its fell aura....
Tzedaka: "Perchaps der is one more in dee forest..."
Enwynn silently nods in response.
She does offer "The snoring goblin appears to be extremely drunk, and unlikely to be a threat."
Tzedaka: "...Der are many who would consider capturing one such as myself a great prize, and I vill be targeted."
The druidess again, nods silently in response, accepting that that is inevitable, even if admitting that fact's simple truth fills her with sorrow.
The elf also suggests, in regard to which path to pick next "If the arrogant one who thinks their flame will never go out is draconic, then we have some chance of victory against them, but it will probably not be a fair fight. If the red-robed man is any guide, then he is some proof of survival being possible."
Garet examines the bright pink flask, and the ledgers with the hope that it might identify the location of the Water Element.
"Our path I see as clear, we find the Water Essence, maybe its power can be brought to bare against the draconian one." Garet sucked his teeth and then said with a rye smile.
"I just hope that the Dragon isn't in possession of it, otherwise we need to either negotiate with it, or using our new followers or aid from Gillibran remove the essence from its scaly grasp." Garet looks apologetically over at Tannin a look of no offence meant.

The bright pink flask bubbles alarmingly and Garet is reminded of something similar he saw once in Blacksand, under the counter at an apothecary.....he suspects this potion contains some sort of essence of Chaos....
The ledgers appear to be mostly concerned with food and drink deliveries and bedding assignments...they may be worth something as evidence in connecting certain traders with Zagor or perhaps relating to caravan robberies in recent years.
The Heroes of Chalice are left with many choices.....within Firetop to go into heat or darkness, or retrace steps in search of Elements or secured treasures.....or to venture out with those rescued in tow.....or to rule here in Zagors sted.
“I believe dat removal of Dee tattoos is crucial to fighting Shakor (she spits to the left).” If we can find Dee other elements here, it is worth Dee search, as is liberating any prisoners inside. Dee is also a very large treasure cache within, which could aid you as well as returning Dee wealth to those who chav suffered would make sense.”
"I think we should explore more of this mountain, even if it's just to free anyone left here and make sure there are no dangers left over, but we may find more of the essences or containers and since that was the original reason we came here we might as well finish the job."
Banzo also looks at the cabinet or cupboard? (Weren't we looking for a troglodyte or something?)

Garet was briefly brought back to Blacksand,he had been recruited to hold up an apothecary and he had stolen simular jars, essence of chaos. Garet stowed it until it could be of any use.
His attention turned to the ledgers, his eyes widened we he found records, linking the attack on his caravan to Zagor, he saw collusion by certain merchants, they had in affect signed his death warrant.

The experience unnerved him and he joined Tzedeka in the search for keys, for now the darkness had been quelled, but for how long.
Search as they might the companions are unable to locate any keys and are forced to admit that the old Troglodyte likely took them with him to try and line his pockets during his escape from the mountain....on the plus side this may mean the doors near the entrance are open now....though how ransacked the rooms beyond are is currently unknowable.

(Yes, he had a key for the two locked doors at the initial entrance)
Tzedaka searches the cubbies further for any hidden areas where a key could be kept.

"Do you want me to search, for this creature from above, when we get back outside?" Tannin asked, after being quiet for so long.
