The angelic woman smiles and hugs the barbarian. "All is forgiven, brave warrior. I am not permitted to reveal all that I know, and...some of vhat I know is given to me in chunks. The transition to dis plane has been....difficult, so I tank you for your patience and grace."
She looks at the group
"Now, ven we choose dee path of combat, I am uncertain if all can fight or just one."
You step warily into a torch lit tunnel. In the distance you can see that the tunnel opens out into another torch lit cavern in which there are two pits, From where you are standing you cannot see into the Pits, but you can hear growling noises coming from one of them. Standing in the middle of the cavern is a bald man wearing a chainmail coat.
He has obviously heard your voices and beckons you on.
Garet checks for traps along the tunnel and finding none you can advance. You notice that the nails on his hands are all filed lo a sharp point and are Painted red. " Enter, strangers,' his calrn voice calls out, " You have chosen the path of the Pits. I am the Pitmaster. You must prove to me that you are worthy of passing through my domain, and only by the skill of your weapons shall you do so. Fail, and you shall die."
It seems a well practiced speech though perhaps one unsaid for a very long time....
Looking back to make sure everyone is here and ready, except for Enwynn of course, Banzo calls out, "Is everyone ready?"

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
"We have liberated Firetop Mountain warrior." Tzedaka says to the man. "You and your creatures may leave dis place. Zagor is no more."
The man looked nonplussed for a second, " Shit. Really?"
" Well thats a turn up for the books........though that would explain why there was all that commotion a while ago."
" Um......I mean.....I'm happy to go......and I could likely convinced Bob to move along given time the other one is going to be an issue.......though I guess you could just leave it there as a garbage disposal......I mean Bob would make a decent one as well....as long as he's well fed....otherwise he's likely to go looking for snacks..."
" I don't even know where the other one came from. Bob was a giant toad originally......but the boss kept giving me these weird potions to feed to him....and he went a bit wrong...."
Tzedaka smiles, "Vell, it is up to you. If you vant us to fight your pets, we vill, and some here might prefer it. If you would rather let us through, that is also acceptable."
"Well at least we won't have to worry about him any more, but if something has been fed weird potions and... 'gone wrong' then we'll probably have to fight that, whatever it is."
Banzo takes on a look of determination and confidence, feeling boosted by all of them surviving the last fight and now seemingly having a better position within the mountain.

So, man, tell us qbout your pets, the previous toad an the other one.
Moreover, if you are to go, do you suggest to slain them , keep them in chains, what?
What did Zagor use them for?
The man looked over his shoulder, " Oh...Bob is a Chaos Beast now...it left toad behind long ago....I can take him with me if you want but it'll take time to coax him out of the pit and I can't guarantee you won't be seen as dinner..."
" No chains....what kind of monster chains up an animal? You can kill the other one if you want, I don't even know what it is. It just stands there."
" Zagor? Nothing really. My job was to get people to choose a pit and reward them with a key to move onward if they won......but I never saw anyone until you lot came along."
" You can likely just leave them in the pits if you want to keep them, though as I said Bob will wander if he's not properly fed."
"Well, if we can avoid the pits for now we can always deal with what lives in them at a later date."
Banzo waits to see if they're exploring what is past the different pits or dealing with what's in them now.

"Well, having the keys is certainly a big help but it sounds like he barely had control of these... pets, especially the one that he mentioned if it wasn't fed regularly it would take matters into it's own hands."
Banzo moves closer to the door and looks ready for whatever might be behind it.

Tzedaka examines the man to confirm he is not the inquisitor. She looks deep into his eyes
He appears to be completely human...perhaps some arcane ability...to Tzedakas eyes...

"Let us continue...." Tzedaka says cryptically, winking at Herman.
Herman hails to the man who is hurryng off
oh, wait, when was the last time these pets has been fed?
ooc: meaning, if they have been recently fed, we can keep on, otherwise we may need to handle with them right now
