Ambermoor is a quiet small town where mysterious signs of corruption have begun to show. Many adventurers have arrived at Ambermoor looking for a fight, money, adventure, or to find the source of the corruption and put an end to it. You all know one thing, nature is in danger, if it isn't saved, the entire world could be at stake.
A quick overview of the important people and places of Ambermoor
Town Hall: Tristor Shieldcaster is the beloved mayor of Ambermoor, overall Tristor is a good leader in the citizens standards. Tristor is a youngish male human with black hair and a neatly trimmed beard.
Calathid's Smithy: A small but impressive shop owned by Nerum Calathid, a large, muscular, brown haired man with a small shaggy beard. Calathid spends hours after hours every day pounding on his anvil.
Gremdor's Carpentry: Felek Gremdor is Ambermoor's local carpenter, selling a variety of wood cut into planks, wooden tools, even a few sculptures carved by him and his wife Yihnna.
Ambermoor Glass and Pots: Run by Bahabud and Illei Besita, they supply both pots and glass for Ambermoor, hence the name. Bahabud makes the glass, Illei makes the pots, Illei's pots are very popular. Clay is scarce near Ambermoor, Illei makes enough money to get clay.
Kao Tailoring: Three sisters from the Shou region, Zui (Zoo-eye), Nia (naia), and Shue (shoo-ay) Kao, own this shop. They sometimes make silk products, and earn lots of money off them.
The Armory: Weapons and armor are sold here, simply called The Armory, holds a modest collection of weapons and armor. The Armory is owned by Bashum Grayshot.
Belarth's Smithy: The second of two smithies in Ambermoor, owned by a half-orc named Belarth. Belarth supplies the weapons and armor he makes to Bashum Grayshot at The Armory.
Stables: No one owns these stables, they are open to the public without cost, one guard stands here daily and nightly.
General Store: Vokrilim Sarsk owns Ambermoor's general store, like every other general store, Sarsk’s has everything not sold in other shops around Ambermoor.
Sage Shop: The Sage Shop holds all the necessities for a wizard including spell components, inscription tools, focuses and other arcane materials. Gethrath Janreck, an old human mage owns this shop.
Library: A modest library with a small collection of books, mostly history textbooks. The library is barely visited, books are of little interest to the citizens of Ambermoor.
Elvire Synnestra's Home: Elvire Synnestra, an old female elf is a proficient healer and apothecary, her home serves as both a hospital and apothecary.
The Amber Frog: The more popular of the two taverns in Ambermoor, Ellie Frogheart, a young female halfling runs this inn, producing juicy meats, hearty broth, and soft, warm bread.
The Melting Dragon: Ellie Frogheart's rivalling tavern, owned by Hulric Bardoth, an old male dwarf. The Melting Dragon is popular because of Bardoth's mead. The Melting Dragon is somewhat messy and gets less business than The Amber Frog for that reason.
The Shrine of Chauntea: Chauntea is the main deity in Ambermoor, agriculture is an important thing here. Esniel Niherier runs the shrine, not many people usually spend their time here.
The White Rabbit: Ambermoor's local inn, gets very few visitors, due to the little amounts of travellers that pass through here. The inn is run by Bron Borndez, a middle aged human male and his wife Sarli. Sarli cooks occasionally if travellers don’t want to go to either of the other two taverns.
Now, to get started, please explain to me what you're doing right now and answer a couple questions. Did you all come as a group, in pairs or seperately? Did you arrive today or have you been here for a couple days?
I came alone. Hearing that some kind of corruption is spreading in Ambermoor, I came quickly. I stopped by The White Rabbit to buy a room and rest. Do they have food there?
Yes, the most popular food in Ambermoor is The Amber Frog, i'm assuming you eat there. You push through the doors and a bustling room filled with laughter and loud conversations greets you. A waitress frantically runs around the room, taking orders and reporting to a blonde female halfling standing behind the bar, a minstrel sits on a stool in the corner playing a merry tune on his lute. All but two tables in the room are full.

"The hero sought to save the world.
"If I keep trying, I'll be able to win," the hero thought.
But the harder the hero fought, the further the world seemed to tumble away.
Drowning in doubt, the hero could not even save themselves.
Hero, if you still believe in a brighter future, hold in your heart a thorn that can pierce all doubt."
It's hard to see anything here, right as you sit down, a group of men stops in front of your table, one of them grunts. "Get out of our spot." a large burly man growls at you.

At the entrance to the Amber Frog, Artin stops to smell the aroma of warm meat pie before entering. He seats himself at a table after a nod from the serving wench, and puts down his walking stick and traveler's pack. "Ah, to put my feet down and have a mug of ale", he says to himself with a smile. He looks around the room, taking in the diverse peoples around the room. A group of humans and dwarves are boisterously playing a game of dice. A human female is watching the game unfold at the table next to his, an entertained look on her face. Artin takes in the lady's double swords and leans over. "You look to know your way around the area, friend!"
"Why should I? It was apparent no one was sitting there, so there was nothing wrong with sitting here." I say calmly. "There's another table over there, you can take that one." I gesture at the other empty table.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Pulling his hood closer around his face as he reached the outskirts of town, Invaih started to make his way alone through the streets. He had been on the outskirts of town for a couple of days, but had not noticed anything to give credence to the rumors of corruption... yet. He was ill at ease to stand still, however. Unable to patiently wait for a sign, he had decided to come in, seeking rumors and gossip to give him hints as to the corruption's nature.
If only it could be fiends... He thought, thoroughly appreciating the thought of getting rid of more of the plague.
He arrived in front of a messy tavern, called "The Melting Dragon". He surreptitiously crossed the main doorway 25 (stealth) and scanned the tavern for an empty seat in the shadows 16 (perception).
"You have much to learn here Kid. Now, get out of our spot." The man says roughly, kicking your leg. A couple other tavern-goers quickly glance in your direction and look away just as fast.

There are 11 tables inside, only 3 of which are full, you pick a table in the corner of the room, no one noticies or acknowledge your presence. All of the people in the room are middle aged humans who all look half asleep, sleeping, or drunk. A grizzled male Dwarf has his arms folded over the bar who appears very bored.

Artin sees the commotion at the other end of the room. A elvish fellow in woodsy garb appears to be having trouble with a group of drunks. "He looks like a friend of the forest", says Artin to himself. He heads towards the commotion, tilting his head to the human female in a "come along if you wish" gesture.
Once at the table, he smiles at the elf. "Enarium, you old dog! There you are! It's been ages! Come come now, we're at this table over here". Artin gestures to his now vacant table.
Turning to the group, he gives a friendly smile. "Sorry friends, my companion here is always getting lost. A round of ales on me!".
The man who appears to be thier leader, this guy ^, grabs your wand and snaps it in half and throws it on the floor. The tavern goes silent, everyone looks in your direction, a couple gasps emit from the croud. One of the other men behind him says "trust me kid, you don't want a fight." A smirk appears on the leader's face.

now that's it. I turn around and cast entangle in the area they cover (is it okay if I cast it smaller than a 20 ft. square?) Which would make it a DC 24 Dex ST.

Apparently these men are somewhat feared in this city. I'll show the townsfolk they shouldn't be. How many of them are there?
