Gedyr calmly sips his wine. "A my friend hunter is impatient. But I must admit, I am only more confused. Who can say what vile villain we have hear, this garlic breathed fiend! Surely most dangerous and worthy of bonus pay!......but perhaps we can smell him out."
"Exactly! Who is this garlic breather, tell us so we can go kill him, or bring him back, whatever."
Hunter's silent Echo, flickers and this time the Echo appears to be shouting and gesticulating wildly, before flickering again and returning to his calm drinking.
" Well, It's a bit more complicated then that. We had a spy going undercover at a factory that produces food. He found some info about the factory that may be important to our operation in the dock ward. But for safe exporting he hid it in the energy bar. When another agent tracked the bar down it was in a dumpster at the back of a chain convenience store and it was already chewed up. And the info wasn't there at all. Find the person who chewed on the bar and bring him back. We will do the extraction. "
Gedyr is listening....and slightly frowns...."So you want us to find who it was who chewed on the bar and bring him back to you...and then you will do the extraction of...your spy? Speak slowly sir, you seem to be eager for us to get started, but somethings are unclear. In short...
One: We are to find who chewed on this bar who we expect of nefarious deeds in regard to your spy
Two: We are not kill this individual with an arrow at 300 feet, but to bring him to you.
Three: You will then extract the spy afterwards? Or we will.
Depending on the clarification of the above, I will certainly have some more questions." He takes a sip of his wine and sits back to listen at the reply.
Hunterinterjects when Gedyrmentions not killing the target,
"Actually he didn't say he had to be brought back "alive", only that he had to be brought back."
Hunterturns to Mr. X,
"Right so can we confirm, dead or alive?"
Hunterholds up his hand and starts counting off his fingers.
"Second, where was the food found exactly, what store, which dumpster, was it inside the dumpster or near it, was it on the left or right, etc, etc, etc."
"Thirdly, where was the food supposed to be for your collection agent to find it normally? Inside the shop, or some other location? We need specifics."
"Fourthly, should we know about any interested parties that may be trying to get the information?"
"And lastly, how much is the job worth? What are we getting paid when we bring you this dirt-bag?"
" If he is a crime lord who runs a entire branch of the dark network, kill him. If he is a old man who just wants a snack, don't, I trust your judgement. "
"Another question, what times? When was the agent supposed to collect the food item and when were they able to find the half eaten, garlic smelling, remains?"
Hunteris leaning forward again, eager for details, impatient for the team to head out and start tracking down the target.
The store is one in the Castle Ward named Haxolof's Grocery's, there is only one dumpster because it is a small shop. The bar was supposed to be on the rack of the 4th isle, 28th bar in the " Neverwinter Freeze Energy Bar " rack. 28th bar down, 6th row, 9th bar to the right. The goonies of a Dwarf named Drago Ironbeard might be interested, but i suggest you don't go towards his direction. We already have another team after him. When you come back, I will distribute to each of you 200 gold pieces for the safe (or not safe) return of the subject.
"So it has been some time then? Not ideal, as tracks have tendencies to vanish over time."
ooc: sorry for not being very active. you seem to be posting when im asleep. Also it would be great to know the patches of the robe. I dont want to stress, i just want to be prepared for any situation.
ooc: the item has patches that can be pulled of, transforming them into various items. Most of them are pretty mundane, like a battering ram. Others can summon a riding horse. And another one drops 10 jewels worth 100gp each. So i can roll for it, but would like to know if there are patches i should reroll.

„So there is a person that has bad breath? Like so bad, that he has to die now, or is it because you wanted to eat that thing?“
Hunter waves his hand in Alls direction,
"Exactly! Who is this garlic breather, tell us so we can go kill him, or bring him back, whatever."

"Right, killing is still an option."

"Right sounds lucrative."
Hunter turns to his friends,
"Any other questions? Anything I should have asked, but didn't?"
Hunter grabs the hilt of his greatsword, but doesn't move, looking to his friends for the go ahead, that they are ready to move out.

Gedyr sips his wine..."How did your man know where to find this half eaten bar?"
They searched the store, it took 2 weeks of looking to find the bar. We ordered that nothing could enter or leave the store. "

Hunter lets out a grunt at the mention of two weeks,
"Alls is right, two weeks is going to leave us with little to follow. This is going to be a harder job, should we get started then?"

OOC; Well, I'm not very familiar with the item, so perhaps you could do that for me? Sorry for being ill prepared.
" Unfortunately, that is the setup, you will just have to go with it. "

By the ways, thanks to BizzareBalthazar who enabled content sharing, we can not only access the map of waterdeep from Waterdeep: Dragon Hiest, but many other D&D products.

No, all patches are fine.
Gedyr
"Well, let us go to this Haxolof's Grocery. IT may be the best place to start. Is the clerk still there for us to question him?"
Gedyr is ready to move...
