You are the Naf crop, preparing to face the trials of the five gods. You are currently at the training grounds, and a man approaches your crop, who you know is Tenami, the vizier of strength. He says: "Alright! You have two hours to train, then I will lead you to your first trial! May you be deemed worthy of a glorious afterlife"
(You may use this time to introduce and get used to your characters, roleplay, and train, maybe until sometime this evening)

"The hero sought to save the world.
"If I keep trying, I'll be able to win," the hero thought.
But the harder the hero fought, the further the world seemed to tumble away.
Drowning in doubt, the hero could not even save themselves.
Hero, if you still believe in a brighter future, hold in your heart a thorn that can pierce all doubt."
Mesu: "That's probably true, I'm not much of a shooter, more of a thrower."
Ta-Kara: "Really, I can't. I'm ready, but it's still going to be a while before we begin." She says, praying to Hazoret to give her strength, power, and zeal.

Ssra sits in a sunny corner and is sharpening his spear, just observing the action around him.
Zonenchu on the other hand is measuring the arena and doing a few back-and-forth sprints, warming up. He draws a few lines in the sand here and there and sets up a bit of a foothold in a few places. Other than that he doesn't really engage with anyone directly.
Kan-ra perks up visibly at the prospect of an archery contest. Without even going towards the target practice area, he fires two arrows in rapid succession. (22 and 17)
Anputeleptuf sighs and flies high in the air. After about 30 seconds, he stops and assumes a meditative posture. Anyone (except another hawk-headed aven) who looks at him sees only a patch of light.

Kan-ra accepts the hand. Anputeleptuf calls down, irately, in Aven, "if you're quite done showing off how good you are at killing people?" Kan-ra calls back, "you're just jealous," in the same language. Anputeleptuf dives and throws a bolt of light at the targets, then another. 26 and 17
Kan-ra smirks and fires another volley. 26 and 16
Anputeleptuf snatches the first arrow out of the air and flies back to return it, keeping his face carefully blank.

"Anyone up for a quick sparring match?" Says Mesu, an enthusiastic male human who's life is completely set on proving himself to Hazoret.
Ta-Kara, a kherna priestess of Zeal, stands close to her brother, saying or doing nothing, eager for the trials to start.
