Onyx was a bit startled at Grahl's sudden appearance, but quickly composed himself, and lowered his voice.
"What? The creature is behind us now?!"That no one had known except for someone who literally stayed hidden behind the group was worrisome; thankfully, Grahl was keen enough to have caught the bugger.
"Well gentlemen, shall we ambush this thing?" he asks the group in a somewhat eager tone. Anticipating their actions, the warlock began looking for a convenient hiding spot that would also allow him to conceal most of the light from his torch/staff.

Arbon smiles at the half-orc's suggestion, "Excellent hearing, my brutish friend," he whispers. "Here at the brittle curtain is as good a place as any. Find a good position all. I'm not so good at hiding, so will captivate its attention standing in the passageway here." Arbon stands back into the passageway, about 15-20ft from the curtain, and faces the curtain in anticipation of the creature emerging through.
Grahl walks over to the stairs preparing to ambush the dragging demon startling a quickly recovered Onyx. Everyone has come prepared and is on guard as it should be, and Onyx's quick thinking finds an optimal position in the dark. Arbon, Chazrael, and Grahl all make their way into this excellent spot, as Marchosias finally makes his way back up the stairs to observe the groups efforts.
Onyx finally tries to fit in, but has trouble. Perhaps he is overly concerned with the others, perhaps he simply doesn't notice, or perhaps he is simply not good at hiding, but his foot is clearly sticking out. He appears oblivious to it.
Marchosias looks at the brilliant display from a few stairs down, pondering his next few moments.
"Seems as good a plan as any," the tiefling mutters with a shrug. He moves further up the stairs as well, taking a position near Chazrael and ensuring his crossbow is ready.

In the narrow passage way, the dragging continues towards your location. Staying within the shadows, its hard to visually perceive what is audibly clear. Something incredibly long is being pulled across the ground at a shambled but quick and constant pace. A horrible smell assaults your senses as it abruptly enters the doorway!! Just as quickly, the Hunter comes up the last rung of the stairs, screaming at the horrific sight as an eel like appendage lashes out at him in the moment you all pounce.
Waiting for the creature to enter Grahls anticipation rises, the smell catches him first. He grits his teeth to steady himself, to not engage to soon. The dragging sound coming closer and closer. A bead of sweat glides down the side of his face, his muscles tense. Ready for the moment to come, a glorious battle with the unknown.
After the hunter gets attacked Grahl can finally break the silence with a deafening battle cry as he charges in RAARWrr!! . His is pent up energy turning into the rage. Holding his axe horizontally since the room might not be big enough to swing so he charges into the creature using his strength so slam the axe into the creature instead of swinging the weapon.
Not minding himself he tries to push his body back a bit to move past the creature to try and get on the 'cart' side of the creature to find a better spot so he can swing his weapon but also block the creatures retreat and freeing up space so others can engage.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Much more quietly than Grahl, Marchosias raises his crossbow. In the chaos and darkness of the battle, he isn't quite sure what he is looking at - only that it is big and needs to die.

Arbon holds his shield up, the symbol of Gond emblazoned on it begins to glow as he says "The hammer falls on strengthened plate" and casts Shield of Faith on Grahl, adding 2AC to the half-orc for the next ten minutes. "Let's do this for Gruumsh and Gond!" He says to Grahl as he returns his focus to the enemy ahead, swinging his mace at its face in front of him.
Onyx stepped back, then raised his hand and formed the arcane sign of his spell, focusing his magic on the enemy. "Begone!"
His eyes widened as the BOOM! that accompanied the attack, as well as the spell itself, seemed magnified. His patron had indeed given him a new degree of power!
MOVE: Stepping back about 10 feet (if there's room) further away from the creature ACTION: Attack with an Eldritch Blast - Spell Attack: 16, Damage incl. crits: 11
No concentration (presumably it's been over an hour since our last battle)
The demon shot its eel arm out in a moment of clear surprise, knocking the hunter back abit, and digging burning teeth into his arm. No sooner has it done so, then did Grahl leap out and smash its form into the right side of the doorway, crushing its (right) the snakelike appendage for a moment before Marchosias nailed its other (left) arm with a piercing shot that went clean through. Chazrael takes the moment to crouch down and fire an arrow deep into the creatures soft flesh, carving a clean slice near its belly (left side) from its ribs to its armpit. Continuing the momentum, Arbon hammers down hard on its collarbone (left), sending it to its knees!
The creature is near vanquished!
But in that moment, the anguish it has suffered, causes it to release the hunter from its grip, and pour out a foul gas from that mouth filling the room rapidly as it cries a horrible death knell.
Then Onyx unleashed an Eldritch blast with the full power of the chaotic might of Old and New magics. It meets the chest of the creature, combusting the source of the gas and traveling up the arm to ignite the cloud.
Everyone make a dexterity and then constitution roll as the creature (15 foot area) and the gas (the entire room) explode.
