"You must not have ever met a genasi before, because you are next to two of them." Zolis says. "You can tell which kind I am, because I'm hot." She laughs to herself. The goblin climbs up onto his Oxen, sitting lightly on top of it's thick white fur.
Vadek seems lightly embarassed, "Indeed. Humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, gnomes, etcetera, etcetera. I've seen plenty of Genasi in the guild, but never up close. The difference is astounding." Bolt is happily panting away, Crag now playing in his thick fur. Vadek waves the reigns of his horse, loosening them and pulling them into one hand, the other is set to keep his dog and mouse from falling off the horse, but still allow them to adjust.
"Must've been a farmers dog, he already knows how to ride." Vadek chuckles to himself.
The goblin's oxen pulls up next to you. "Yep, definitely has the temperament of a farm dog." The goblin says. The water genasi pulls up to your other side and absentmindedly starts scratching bolt behind his ear while looking at Zolis. "What do you make of her Vadek?" She asks, her face still holding its resting face of arrogance. "Do you think she'll be a problem?"
"Zealous, but not a problem yet. We'll see, and if she does become one, well.." he looks to the goblin, and the water Genasi, "I am sure we can handle it." Vadek eyes the oxen, "I had met a strange fellow once, rode a similar creature. Asked about the architecture of Golden Crown... a lot."
Vadek shrugs, and looks forward to the fire Genasi and nods to himself, determined to make the best choices in every situation, he was thinking about his next step.
"Might have been my little brother Gudruun, he's always up to trouble. Oh, by the way, it is definitely the red one that smells. After seeing all the animals I was sure it was going to be you, but nope; you smell surprisingly clean for someone of your race." He smiles wide. "That said, I think I'll take up the rear, get my nose as far away from her as possible." He grimaces for a moment to the smell, and then begins backing up the Oxen. "Come on Mountain, back up so that they can pass easier."
The water genasi adds in; "If you don't mind Vadek, I'd like to ride back here as well... to, um... watch her actions; just incase." The tone of her voice suggests that there is an alternative reason for her words as well. She pulls her horse to the side a bit, giving your horse more room. From the front you all hear; "No point scouting a trail if no one is following! Are you lot done talking back there, or should I come back and get you." Zolis says, with a slight menacing tone and laugh to her voice.
"We ride!" Vadek shouts back to Zolis. He whips his reigns again, this time to get his large horse moving. He didnt seem to take offense to the goblins words, he knew what others thought. And his imagery, his clan was well known, they had raised armies to be smited by those who took him in after all. He was used to it, and he let it slide off him like water.
Vadek pulls up behind Zolis, the water genasi behind him, and the goblin up last. The group slowly begins following the Satyr, which turns out to be a fairly smooth route. The fire genasi does seem to know the easiest paths through the forest; giving an air of a lot of experience in travelling through woods.
Vadek keeps his focus forward, alert for threats, but does glance behind him on occasion, to check on the other two. He was quiet, as the time for conversation had drawn, all of them knew they were going to be investigating the scene of the attack soon, and had to display their best.
As you occasionally glance back, you find the water genasi turned around to talk to the goblin. She turns forward from time to time, each time her cheeks are a bit red. Before long Strilat calls out; "Thee Feelbaarr tooweer laays aaheeaad." As you clear the woods, a 3 story, wide, tower of stone stands before you. It's massive door lays closed.
Vadek rides forward and joins Zolis at the front of the line. Bringing his horse in and letting Bolt jump down, he hopes off the horse and ties it off on a tree, leaving the reins long, so it can graze.
With a click and a snap Bolt rushes up to Vadek's side, staying with him while he gets his gear, and the raven. He unsaddles his horse, but doesn't remove anything else. He pats his horse gingerly, and then makes his way to the tower entrance.
Strilat calls to the tower; "Theesee aaree thee Heerooees froom thee guuiild, leet theem iin." Moments later the gate starts to open and a dwarf walks out to greet the gathered group. "My name is Yargel Anvilgut, Captain of the Guard." The tall gray haired armored dwarf says. "I have guarded this tower since the Dwarven King of old granted it to the heroes of the time. It acts as a safe haven for lost adventures and needing heroes. We have been untouched by enemy forces and threats for hundreds of years... until now."
After a long pause he looks upon all of those before him. "May I have each of your names before I continue?" The goblin nods and says; "My name is Fenic, greetings." He bows slightly. "Navarra Murnyethara, of the Circle of the Land. I am here to help." The water genasi says, the look of arrogance returned to her face. "Zolis Fezim; point me towards the monster and it'll be destroyed!!" Zolis aggressively replies.
"Vadek Logran, formerly of the Black Mask legion, now of the Golden Crown Legion." Vadek says, putting out his chest with pride, stabbing his glaive into the ground in a type of salute.
"Noted. Your names will be added to the list of visitors of the Felbarr Tower of Heroes." He shifts briefly, repositioning his armor slightly. "The villain Duon Beestinger has lured one of our guards away during the night. He has been a plague of the local villages as of late and you are not the first group of heroes to attempt to defeat him. After some recent ritual, he has become more brazen with his actions. It is expected that he will return to lure away more guards, and believed that he may even attempt to control the tower itself; if he is able."
"I see. Then one of us should take the place of a guard, while the others lay in ambush. I can fill in for tonight's guard, while Zolis, Fenic, and Navarra take up position around the tower and wait for the villain to make their move." Vadek says to the guardsman, and his compatriots.
"No offense." Yargel says. "But you are a bit big to be a dwarf. Fenic here, may be able to pull off the ruse you suggest." Zolis speaks up; "Just point me in the direction of the monster and I'll slay him! I don't like the idea of just waiting around!!" She starts walking in a random direction, eager to advance. Navarra adds; "It is possible that the villain may not return this night; if we wait, it could be a waste of time. It may also further endanger the prisoner." Fenic says; "I don't mind playing the guard, but Navarra has a point."
"We can't go stumbling through the woods, expecting to find what we're looking for. Zolis, why don't you start scouting to see if you can find tracks that can lead us to our quarry, Navarra, can you help me look around near the tower, see if theres anything we can find. Fenic, you can practice being a guard as a backup plan, and search the area with us." Vadek looks to everyone, to see if his plan is amenable.
Zolis turns to Yargel. "Which direction did they go? I can track them from there." The dwarf points towards the north, and she marches off in that direction. Fenic heads inside the Felbarr tower; which Navarra awaits your next action. Strilat, after a moment's pause, follows Fenic inside.
"Not exactly certain. Was looking for anything really." Vadek frowns to himself, he wonders what he could do in the meantime while Fenicand Zolis did their parts. "Maybe we can help Zolis, I'm not finding anything here?" He asks of Navarra.

Vadek begins searching the area around the tower, for anything to help their search.
Investigation: 18
The area around the tower looks normal. "What exactly are you looking for?" Navarra asks.
"Not exactly certain. Was looking for anything really." Vadek frowns to himself, he wonders what he could do in the meantime while Fenicand Zolis did their parts. "Maybe we can help Zolis, I'm not finding anything here?" He asks of Navarra.
