Raising his shield, Orel steps forward and chants in an unknown language. As he does, the emblem on his shield begins to glow a deep purple as the shield itself seems to soak in light. The darkness then bursts forward and he yells, "Return to whence you came, spawn!" The zombie children screech in his direction. As he approaches the line he calls out, "More come from below! Take down the stairs if you can!"
"Ouch, you son of a *****," Rey yelled as she felt teeth ripping into her leg. Pissed and in pain, she brought both daggers down, right into the top of one of the children's heads. "Die, ****er!" She pulled the daggers out, and it groaned, falling backwards.
Elaine began to shake, looking as if she was in the middle of a panic attack. A pervasive, panicked energy ran through her veins as blood poured from the many zombie bites. She brushed their clawing hands off of her and ran towards the center of the room, hopefully so that the zombie children would attack everyone else before her. Focus, she thought to herself, trying to calm her shaking hands. There was little else for her to, but she had to aid her comrades somehow.
"I can't stop these zombies Deep inside House Crain Boy, you have got to pulverize So they don't eat my brain!"
Marius was already striding towards the rickety staircase going up the chimney when he hears the half-orc shout, "Take down the stairs if you can!" He pauses to consider, and sees Elaine use her lovely grace to evade the choppers of the nasty biting children around her and retreat to the room they'd cleared. A burst of inspiration washes over him, and he runs for the ugly statue of Hugh Crain. "Someone help me shove this down the stairs!"

Three of the zombie-children flee from Orel's rebuke, back into the rooms from whence they came. Two, defiant and hungry, chomp at Stone, though they cannot penetrate his trained defensive stance.
Below, a heavy wooden door shatters and two blabbering, slathering, child-like voices can be heard.

Orel takes his place next to stone, lowing his shield slightly as he slams his flail into the side of one of the zombie children. The other three were fleeing from him, that was good. But these two seemed unaffected by his taunt of death.
Rey heard Marius call out for help, and she slid quietly away from the fray. She looked at what he requested help with; the statue of a fat man. Another quick look and she figured out what he wanted to do. "I hope you know what you're doing!" She put her shoulder to the statue, and shoved with all her might. Between the two of them, they were able to slide it across the carpet to the stairs. Another good push and the statue tumbled over, crashing straight through the stairs into a hidden storage room.
Her viol bow clattered to the ground as her hands' shaking intensified. Elaine couldn't be useless, so she drew her rapier from her side and slashed at one of the zombies next to Stone. Despite her panic, her blade ran right through the childish zombie's chest.
(Just before crashing down the statue, sorry for the late post)
Stone held his ground and his movements gave both testament and contradiction to his name as he struck, blocked, and weaved through zombies. At Marius' call, he decided his place was in the fray to allow his allies time to work their plan. Stone lashed with his dagger, taking a sizable piece of a zombie's jaw, then settled into a relaxed stance. His weight shifted back, his hands hung before him, and each assault was quickly displaced and pushed back.
(Dagger damage: 7, Patient Defense (Dodge as Bonus Action) to allow the others to move the statue mostly unimpeded)

"Thanks, Rey! That was fabulous!" Marius cries out as the statue goes crashing down into the nether regions of the house, tearing out most of the stairwell as it goes. Clack-clack! Clack-clack! go the jaws of the zombie-children, and the warlock rushes up the creaky wrought-iron stairs that switchback up the outside of the chimney. He feels more than hears a nervous little groan from the structure, but summons another beam of force and releases it into the creature nearest the bard!

You hear the blabbering, jabbering creatures from below break into the foyer, moving fast. You hear them rushing toward the hearth, then... Up the chimney???
While Stone is engaged with one of the zombie-children, the other takes its opportunity to bit him hard on the knee, latching onto his kneecap and wrenching it back and forth.

Stone ignores the crashing behind him and sets his attention to the untouched child zombie. As it leans in, Stone plants his dagger into the creature's jaws. In a breath, he released a blazing hail of strikes that pulverizes the undead's skull and torso. As it falls, Stone follows, continuing his barrage until the decayed flesh hits the floor.

The remaining zombie child thrashes about trying to gain purchase against Stone and Orel. Seeing it score a chunk of flesh from Stone, Orel sends his flail careening into its face.
Rey ran up to the zombie child slicing with both daggers. They both swiped through rotting flesh, leaving the creature reeling on its heels. "We're about to have company," she said, listening to the commotion in the chimney.

Two new threats burst from a secret door in the chimney behind where the statue of Hugh Crain once stood, flailing their limbs and blathering a single word over and over, diseased yellow spittle flinging from their fangs as their jaws flap open and closed.
"Eat, eat, eat, eat..."
They fling themselves at Stone and Orel from the side, scratching with long, bony claws. Each find their marks, tearing deep gashes in flesh, the sight of which causes their long, gray tongues to loll from their mouths as they stare with lustful hunger at the wounds they've inflicted.

Stone lived up to his name. Even with all of those wounds he still fought next to Orel. "Keep your guard up, Stone! Don't fall now!" He calls forth the energy granted by a being more powerful than he and, gesturing forth and touching stone on his back, heals some of the smaller wounds. He then raises his shield and prepares for the next wave of attacks.
Her ribs were killing her, making it hard for Rey to breathe, her leg was bleeding profusely, and she was terrified of dying in this hell hole. While Stone had the attention of these disgusting things Rey sneaked around behind them, near the stained glass windows. She didn't use her shortbow often, and she wasn't entirely confident when using it, but she knew she needed to stay away from those teeth and claws, or she was dead. She drew back, aiming at the head of one of the creatures. She sucked in a breath, trying to ignore the pain, and held it. Calm, she thought to herself. Now! She released the arrow, and it sunk deep into the back of the creatures head, popping it like a grape. The rest of the body fell to the floor, in a disgusting pile.
