My concept is of a Kenku Rogue who goes by the name of Klink.
He's a Charlatan by trade because it is the only thing he has found so far that can get him along in this world. Plays at all of the taverns and inns he comes across and makes sure he always wins just enough thanks to his trusty set of marked cards. He has always had a fascination with how things work and pays more attention to other peoples business than he has any right to due to his inquisitive nature.
Was drawn into the life of a Charlatan at a young age because he was forced out of his flock when his family was murdered by "Krackle" a rival within the Blue Feather flock. He had to make the choice to flee or fight, and at the time he was not strong enough to respond to his parents untimely death.
Klink is very untrusting and has a habit of changing up his look at the first sign he is recognized. He doesn't want his identity or location to get back to the Blue Feather flock as Krackle has taken control and turned his friends and remaining family against him and pinned the blame on him for his parents deaths.
The only thing she could remember as a kid (Age:6) was that she was always alone. One day she discovered a village of humans, in hopes of find a place to belong. However, the humans there assumed she was a demon sent to kill them because of her appearance. Local militia tried to capture her but she manage to escape. Traumatized by this event she never revealed herself again. She traveled from place to place picking up a few skills along the way. As she traveled she learned that humans and the other "Favored" race tend to justify their actions for self interest. She (Age:12) tried to make friends, she once joined a thieves' guild in hopes finding a place to make friends. It was a sham, they tried to sell to a group of exotic slavers she was able to charm her way out thanks to her unique abilities. She traveled until she couldn't walk anymore, passing out from exhaustion. She awoke in a monastery filled with fellow snake men like her. It was there she learned that she a Yuan-T, she was told that she was a unique Yuan-Ti they called "Purebloods". They explain that a long time ago there race flourished but the other races formed together and killed most of their civilizations. Since then they have learned to stick to the shadows of societies, and they founded the monastery called the "Order of the Shadow Serpent".
Bazan-Gore Ironsins Bugbear, Noble, Wizard, Age 17 Born of a noble familly of bugbears who decided to leave traditions of tribality behind. His familly tryed to get into big cities, but really couldn'T and ended up living in the underbelly of said civilisation. They changed names to the Ironsins clan because of their actual business of slavery, torture and pleasure sites of all kinds. Bazan-gore was raised and tutored at home with books and the likes. Unlike his parents, Narem-Gore (mother) and Tagun (Father), All he could see was the adventurous life and how exciting it seemed. he read a lot of adventures and characters with magic items and decided to go on a quest to own at least one of each. So one night, he packed his things and off to the adventure he was. His parents he never really liked, mostly his father who was brutal with him. his father thought him to be strong, but his mother taught him to be intelligent. he preffered the ways of his mother and even took her name during his travels to the nearby towns. He regrets only one thing about his leave... not saying good bye to his mother, but he knows she'll understand why he left.

Kenku, Hermit, Fey Pact Warlock (Eventually Pact of the Tome)
For almost as long as he could remember, Skritch lived alone deep in the comforting tangle of the Shadowbraid, a seemingly endless thicket of trees and thorns that spanned the Amoan Hills. He lived his days in solitude, scraping his way through the brush and brambles, gathering odd trinkets left by the corpses of travelers with more bravery than sense, with minds set on taming the tangle and liberating its lost treasures. This was a peaceful life, until The Fire Nation Attacked a well prepared force stormed the Shadowbraid. The briar's most powerful defender, an archfey known as the Thorn Witch, had risen to defend her home, while Skritch and many of the other denizens had hid. Unfortunately, the assaulting army was more than a match for the Thorn Witch and they struck on her a most grievous injury. She had fled deep into the tangle and came upon Skritch's door. There, she told Skritch that the Shadowbraid was lost, and to take what he could and flee to the safety of Dorborden. She gave him a tome, and infused some of her power into it before heading deeper into the brambles. Skritch fled the burning Shadowbraid that night and has been living in Dorborden ever since. Through the power of his gifted tome, he had picked up some magic and is a Warlock now.

Should I be looking for a PM if I get selected or will names be announced in this thread? I haven't really done the play by post before and I'd really like to get into it as my job has downtimes at completely random times so it'd be great to have something to look for during those times. I am open so if another role besides rogue is needing to be filled I'd be more than happy to tweak my character concept/start from scratch if necessary.
Skabb Spotfur, Tabaxi Warlock (Great Old One) age 15, Male
While still a cub Skabb was found outside of a cave system by his foster father, Reek No-Teeth, a kobold. No-one knew where this tabaxi came and what had happened to him except that he had some kind of skin condition and had lost about half his fur in spots around his body. Reek, who was an old kobold (by their standards at least) never had any children of his own and took the little cub into his care. Skabb grew up in this small kobold community but wondered why they only dwelled in the outer cave system and not a soul dared to go further down into the dark caves below their housings. Curious by nature Skabb snuck out their caves and ventured below, he brought with him a bunch of papers and carefully drew each nook and cranny of the caves he passe, but tried his best to get home before his father woke up.
This continued for weeks before Skabb one night stumbled upon the temple of Azathoth (I can change patron if you want one of the more common ones). Intrigued by the dark, slimy ruins Skabb touched upon the altar and as his clawed finger touched upon the cracks of the black stone altar he saw visions of the unspeakable, entire worlds on fire, cities being sucked in to the earth in a matter of minutes, cannibals eating their own children while chanting incomprehensible dissonant songs and complete utter darkness. In that darkness he heard the voice of Azathoth, who promised him an answer for every question he had about his visions, but in return he had make a promise, if he ever wondered about something, he had to work for that information tirelessly until he got it. As he stumbled home that morning, he brought with him the maps he had drawn of the catacombs below and a secret. A secret he didn't even tell his father. Not even when he asked Skabb why he left the next week, out from the caves and into the unknown world.
I would love to join your campaign, the monstrous races are given to little love in regular campaigns.

First of all, what Stat Gen are we using. My character isn't neccessarily complete yet. (Sorry if recruitment is already closed, I didn't see an explicit post, so)
Backstory: The Jiron was raised by his widower father, Cranin Booyahn, a famous hero who fought off the humanoids many a time, out in a village named Yares at the base of the "Monster" Fang mountains (called Goblinfang mountains by the "monsters"). Since he was young, Cranin trained his son to join in "the family business." The only problem, Jiron soon found he enjoyed tinkering with gears and magic in his room was more fun. With this, Jiron ended up with the not entirely wrong impression that his father was embarrassed by his rather nerdy son, and tried his hardest to make his father proud, even if he was rather clumsy with a sword. As his maturing years hit, Jiron got the bright idea of trying to mend his tinkering with the training of his father. He ended up creating the "Thunder Cannon," a ranged weapon that dealt doom upon whoever he shot it at. That ended...poorly. Cranin, in his ego and pride, ended up yelling at his son that real men spent their time fighting wars, not sitting in their rooms messing with toys. With that, Jiron saw what his father truly thought of him, and he took his gun and ran, intending to show his father that he wasn't the disgrace he thought he was.
NPCs:
Cranin (Jiron's father)
Borvik (old orc friend of Cranin's from his adventures. He was much more accepting of Jiron than Cranin)
Joten Copperdigger / Kobold / Bard / (Entertainer)
Joten hailed from the Dragon Frown Peaks. He worked the mines digging up precious ores for his clan's dragon liege, Lockjaw the Merciless. One day a small group of adventurers went raiding and slew many of his clanmates and drove away their dragon lord. Joten was deep in the mines when the fight caused the tunnels to collapse. By the time they dug their way out, there was nothing to really return to, so the motely band wandered the wilds until they came to find new homes in Dorborden. Having been a singer, formerly serenading his lord to sleep with the rest of his tribe, Joten took to his new life as a street singer and entertainer, singing the songs of his lost tribe.
Everyone had great ideas, and it was really hard to pick out from such an awesome bunch. I have contacted those CHOSEN to be in the campaign, but keep an eye out for any future campaigns I recruit for. You just might be chosen for the next game!
