After Gwen is healed, Yosben says: "Come friends, let's co find out what all this commotion is" Then leads them up the staircase, into the northern corridor.
The northern corner holds a passageway that heads off to the West, twisting and turning out of sight as it does so. You also see a similar sight in the southern area of the ledge as you passed by it.
"Here Yosben, let the wisdom of Deneir guide you." Craben's hand glows and he casts Guidance Craben touches Yosben who suddenly feels like he can recall a little more information. As if he has read exactly what to do in this situation.
You all move through the passageway, slowly making your way through its turns you eventually see that the passageway opens into some sort of small chamber. The sound of dripping water grows more rapid here. Drops hit the ground so frequently, it’s almost as if the stalactites are creating a light rain. In the north wall, there’s an opening 10 feet above the ground big enough for a crouched human (maybe around 4 1/2 feet tall). The passageway still continues through this strange chamber with the slick floor.
"Yosben, Gwen, do you want to go through this hole. You two can be up front and I can be in the back since I'll need to duck and thus be less effective? I can boost one of you up there and then you can lower a rope for me."
Gwen manages to balance Yosben on the slippery floor as Yosben makes it up to the top of the ledge, and what he sees... disturbs him. Piles of bones are right in the back of end of the ledge. Which is very confusing, as there isn't anything that could actually eat someone's bones, at least... that's what you think until stretching down from the ceiling one of the many stalactites expands itself and drops right onto Yosben!

"The hero sought to save the world.
"If I keep trying, I'll be able to win," the hero thought.
But the harder the hero fought, the further the world seemed to tumble away.
Drowning in doubt, the hero could not even save themselves.
Hero, if you still believe in a brighter future, hold in your heart a thorn that can pierce all doubt."
It is now the Gray Ooze's turn! The ooze responds with a psuedopod against Gwen after she tried to stab him with a dagger. It then thrusts it towards Gwen. The strike hits her as it slowly melts away her skin and she collapses to the floor, dying... (14 to hit for 4 bludgeoning and 5 acid = 9 total damage)
It is now Yosben's turn! Yosben rolls a natural twenty and gets a turn since he's now at 1 HP!
As he stabs the ooze seems to putter out, with a feeble last bubble it dissolves into a simple puddle of gray muck. As you all gain your bearings Craben (with his knowledge of the arcane) notices that the ooze seemed to be a lesser version of most kinds of oozes. For while it was acidic, it was not as potent at dissolving metal as some of its other brethren. The battle is still raging on above, and by the sounds of the arcane blasts does not show any signs of stopping soon. The passageway in front of you continues... What do you do?
After your brief rest you all continue down the passageway which seems to split. One way heads back the way you came, but to the south in addition to the east while the other is a set of steps chiseled out of the stone that leads northwest to a large stone door. It is carved in the image of a kraken pulling two halves of a broken ship into the sea.
