Fireplace on the left side of the room overwhich hangs a shield. A simple wooden desk on the far side, The left side of the room is lined with seating. Blonde hair tied back tightly into a bun atop her head, The faintest look of bags under her eyes. "Yes? Oh! Locke!, Please come in!" Locke enters into the room and leaves you all at the door. As they walk Devynn glances at the gamblers. "I don't know a there is a certain amount of skill to be a professional gambler. Reading people when they are trying their best to hide things from you. As you saw with our misguided attempt to bluff our way in, my skills would not make for a good gambler."
When Locke walks in, Devynn waits a second then follows behind. He throws his best winning smile to the blond haired lady.

Sayre, The room is clean and tidy. It looks like it has been recently cleaned however as there is not even a speck of ash in the fireplace. Apart from the woman you do also see another person in the room. A Human man with short blonde hair and a Thick but well maintained beard. He is wearing a black and red suit, The jacket of which is slung behind the chair he is sitting on. As you look about the room, you see a pair of axes hung on the wall behind the desk. A shield hanging over the fireplace and a Cushioned chair that seems out of place. It is a fairly worn chair with lacerations along it. It looks like it has been around for a long time. The Shield also catches your attention, It is a fine golden Kite shield that looks like it has never been used in battle. You gather it is just for show but thats not what catches your eye about it. The Coat of arms that sits in the middle of the shield is of a Snake lunging towards a bird. The snakes body is shaped like the letter D. You have seen something similar to this before.

The Woman steps to one side of the room, Not far from Locke and welcomes each of you in. "Do come in, My husband and I have been awaiting you." She speaks in a powerful way, She seems confident and proud. Not snobby yet you do get a sense that you are being looked down upon by her. Locke Is speaking to A man who is currently sitting in a very fine chair with a high back and a very Elaborate design, It looks more like a throne then a chair. The man is no more then 30 years of age, He has some age marks but is rather handsome. Dashingly so infact, He looks like a character straight from a fairy tale. Short cropped blonde hair paired with a rugged yet trimmed short beard. He stands up from the desk and walks around Expanding his arms. "Welcome to the Velvet cabaret Slayers!" The Man exclaims in a Firm and regal tone, The voice of someone who is well off. "My wife and I have been eagerly awaiting your arrival when we got word our contract would be undertaken."
"My Name is Crespin Samuel Octavio Lowenthal Dredge the 7th and this is my Wife, Lady Lily viola Henrietta Dredge." The man exclaims in a somber tone. Locke who is towering over both of these individuals, Making them almost look like children next to him. Steps up behind them and folds his arms behind his back. "Enough with the introductions Crespin, Tell them everything they need to know." He commands the smaller man. With a unmistakable look of Intimidation in his eye, Crespin nods and clears his throat. "It all began some time ago, 1 month to be precise. Lily and I had just seen the last of the guests off for the evening and was busy tallying the days take when One of the help screamed. Naturally I ran to be sure the girl was alright, Yonda is her name. A good girl if a bit sheepish, Works harder then any other gnome I've ever seen." Lily places her hand on Crespins shoulder, Crespin is visibly shaking.
Comforting her husband, Lily speaks in his place. "Yonda was cleaning the kitchen at the time and was looking for a bucket to begin the Mopping, It was there she found the first one. A Male dwarf, Disemboweled and Beheaded. The room was nearly covered in blood, We wanted to keep it quiet of course because of our reputation. We alerted the Bastions and they took care of it while tripling the Patrols in this area. A week ago the Patrol slacked and thats when It happened again." Lily is unusually calm in her recounting of this, She seems almost cold in emotion. "3 days past another Murder, This time of a Young girl. No more then 17 years of age, One of the floor walkers in the Gambling den. We found her bound to that chair in our office." She points to the chair you had noticed Sayre, The one that stood out among the rest of the furniture.
"Until that day we had never seen the chair in our establishment before, Poor Deidi was mutilated on that chair. Whats more is that Crespin here walked in on it in progress, He saw something moving in the room. Like a Shadow turned living. The event has left him rather scarred." Crespin is sobbing, He turns into his wife and they embrace with Him sobbing into her shoulder. "The creature vanished threw the fireplace and has not returned since." Lily comforts her husband, almost like a baby. "I beg of you, catch the one responsible for this. If it happens again we have no choice but to close the Cabaret."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Devynn idly scratches his chin as he thinks, a nervous habit to be sure. "We need a list of who has checked in in the last week or so before the first murder. We will also need a closer examination of that chair. I think once these are done we will start interviewing people, starting maybe with that floor walker."
OOC: Devynn wants to examine that chair, see if there are any markings or anything. Investigation: 10
OOC: What the heck... I am glad these rolls aren't saving throws, my streak continues.
OOC: I am sorry but DM your posts are seriously TOO much info to process at one time. Is there anyway you can cut it down by piece meal for us to react as if happens in stages more than after the fact?

Well DM your immaturity was just confirmed to me which has been a sneaking suspicion of mind since the beginning. I didn't complain I gave constructive criticism because WE are playing in this game not just YOU. Your inability to realize WE are here and the sole reason you have an audience at all is obvious now! You're not writing a story here that we're just reading we're not here to read what you write, we're people who gave up our free-time just as much as you did to play a GAME. Sheesh power tripper! TOO much information with bouts of nothing for days? I mean seriously! We had ONE encounter?!
Good luck on your adventures Hardcopi and JacksonDanielz I DM on here A LOT and would love for you to join a campaign sometime just hit me up with a PM!

What part of Not many encounters did you not understand? The Encounter part or the Not many? Amazon you ruined this campaign for 3 other individuals, Including the actual DM with your constant nit picking and High maintenance. I do know that the story a DM tells is for the players, Yet when the DM finds that hobby they love is turned into more of a chore because of the actions of one. It is not enjoyable for the DM and will affect the story for the players. Your lashing out shows me that my suspicion of who and what you are was correct, You are just a snobby individual who wants the world to bow to their desires. One who will just insult and belittle a individual simply because He does not have the time to Do this anymore.
Grow up Amazon.
